Pope Francis Resurrects Latin Mass Limits

Pope Francis cracked down on the spread of the old Latin Mass, which immediately created an uproar among traditionalists opposed to Francis’ progressive bent. Francis said he was “saddened” that the use of the old Mass was accompanied by a rejection of Vatican II itself.  Some of these traditionalists already were among Francis’ fiercest critics, with some accusing him of heresy for having opened the door to letting divorced and civilly remarried Catholics receive Communion.
