World ID, the iris-based identity recognition, arrives in Costa Rica

Can you imagine buying concert tickets or purchasing products on a website with just a scan of your iris? This reality is now possible for Costa Ricans through World ID, an identity verification service that will be available in six locations in the country starting this week.

World Network, in collaboration with Tools for Humanity (TFH), has launched its World ID services in Costa Rica, a digital proof of humanity that allows Costa Ricans to prove they are real humans online without revealing their identity.
