Idahoans refuse to comply with Real ID Act

After Idaho On Your Side’s own Chris Oswalt aired a story about Idaho lawmakers refusing to comply with the federally enacted Read ID act, the newsroom received hundreds of e-mails and social media messages in response to the story.

 

The issue brought on hundreds of comments from Idahoans who were angry with the state being non-compliant and many were concerned with how much the DMV will need to spend to become compliant.

 

In contrast, the newsroom also received messages from Idahoans who were frustrated at the federal government trying to enforce an act relating to statewide issued ID’s and felt that the government had no business dealing with state affairs.
