Salvation and the Rapture – 11/10/2024

Dave Robbins: Books have been
written explaining salvation
for those who did not
make the rapture.
Well, in essence, they are
teaching, no one goes to hell at
the time of the rapture.
The question is, is that
a scriptural teaching?
We’re gonna answer this question
on this edition of
“The Endtime Show.”
♪♪♪
Dave: Good afternoon, everybody.
I’m Dave Robbins with Endtime
Ministries.
Thank you so much for joining me
on this edition of
“The Endtime Show.”
You know, it’s a great question,
isn’t it?
The Bible teaches many times a
time of complete separation at
the time of the rapture.
At that time–when the Lord
comes in the sky, sends his
angels to gather the elect unto
him–a person is either
considered a saint or a sinner.
You’re either considered a wheat
or a tare, a child of the
kingdom or a child of the wicked
one, a sheep or a goat.
You’re either saved or you’re
lost; there will be no gray
areas–a complete separation
here.
Scripture teaches the saved–
whether they’re in the grave or
still alive–will go to be with
the Lord at the time of
the rapture.
However, scripture also teaches
the lost will go to
eternal damnation.
Some have written books telling
people, once the rapture takes
place, not to panic, just read
their book, and be saved–as if
they had another chance to be
saved.
You might have heard this
referred to as rapture saints
versus tribulation saints.
The question today is, is this
a scriptural teaching?
Well, the answer for that is no.
And, to understand what the
Bible teaches on this topic, we
are going to analyze the many
accounts of the two simultaneous
harvests in scripture.
The topic at hand: Somebody–
somehow or another, I got either
sent a video, or a video showed
up on YouTube or something, that
I watched the other day.
And I saw a gentleman that said,
“For all of you that have missed
the rapture, I have a book
for you to read.”
And, “Don’t be alarmed.
Don’t panic.
Read my book, and it will
instruct you how to be saved,
and everything’s gonna be
all right.”
Okay, that’s not scriptural.
I’m just gonna throw all my
cards out here on the table; I’m
just gonna be honest with you.
That’s not a scriptural
teaching.
There’s no such thing as rapture
saints and tribulation saints.
There are only saints.
And so it’s very important that
we understand these things.
Now, I did a program the other
day on pre-/mid-/post-trib
rapture proving that
conclusively the Bible teaches
a post-tribulation rapture.
However, I wanted to come at
this from another direction
today because the Bible
specifically teaches that the–
there is a two–two
simultaneous harvests–
and I’m gonna talk about that.
It talks about it over and over
again in scripture, and I wanted
to make sure that you’re very
clear on this because of this
video I watched the other day–
and I’ve actually heard
it before.
I actually saw two videos of it,
and I thought, “Man, I–
we probably ought to clear this
up because that’s
a false teaching.”
You’re giving somebody hope
that, if they miss the rapture,
“Hey, I’ve just got another
chance to be saved after that.
So, you know, why worry about
making the rapture?”
It’s a false hope, everybody; I
want to make sure we’re very
clear on this.
So, Matthew chapter 24, verse 44
through 51, it says this: Jesus
said, “Therefore be ye also
ready: for in such an hour as
you think not the Son of man
cometh.
Who then is a faithful and wise
servant, whom his Lord hath made
ruler over his household, to
give them meat in due season?
Blessed is that servant, whom
his Lord when he cometh,
shall find so doing.
Verily I say unto you, That he
shall make him ruler over all
his goods.
But if that evil servant says in
his heart, My lord delays his
coming; And shall begin to smite
his fellowservants, and to eat
and drink and be drunken; The
lord of that servant shall come
in a day when he looketh not for
him, and in an hour that he is
not aware of, And he shall cut
him asunder, and appoint him his
portion with the hypocrites: and
there shall be weeping and
gnashing of teeth.”
So this is–Jesus was answering
the question here: “What’s gonna
be the sign of your coming and
of the end of the world or the
end of this age?”
And he’s talking about this,
that people would be accounted
their portion with the
hypocrites, and there’s gonna be
weeping and gnashing of teeth.
That’s in the lake of fire,
everybody.
Excuse me.
Now, you understand that Matthew
25 is also part of the Olivet
Discourse here.
Again, Jesus is answering the
disciples’ question in Matthew
24 verse 3: “What’s gonna be the
sign of your coming and of the
end of this age?”
“At the time that I return–”
so, these events will occur at
the time of the rapture.
Matthew 25:31 through 46 says
this, “When the Son of man shall
come in his glory, and all the
holy angels with him, then shall
he sit upon the throne of
his glory.
And before him shall be gathered
all the nations: and he shall
separate them one from another,
as a shepherd divideth his sheep
from the goats.”
Now, this is the time of
the rapture, everybody.
“And he shall set the sheep on
his right hand, and the goats on
his left.
Then shall the King say unto
them on his right hand, Come, ye
blessed of my Father, inherit
the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of
the world.”
In the book of Daniel, it says
that the saints will inherit the
kingdom at that time; it’s
the same exact event.
Verse 41, here in Matthew 25,
says, “Then shall he also say
unto them on his left hand,
Depart from me, ye cursed, into
everlasting fire, prepared for
the devil and his angels.”
It does not say, “Well, after
the time of the rapture, you’re
gonna have another chance to be
saved, and everything’s gonna be
all right.”
It doesn’t say that, does it?
And verse 46 says, “And these
shall go away–” this is Jesus
speaking–“into everlasting
punishment: but the righteous
into eternal life.”
Now, there are some questions
that need answered here.
Obviously, there will be a
remnant of Jews in Israel that
are saved at the time of the
second coming of Jesus Christ,
when he plants his feet upon
the Mount of Olives.
They will live into
the millennial reign.
There’s also the precedence,
in the Old Testament, of a–
possibly an age
of accountability.
Those that were 19 years old and
down were allowed to go into the
promised land; they were not
held accountable for the sins of
their parents.
Now, are you saying, “Well,
everybody–you know,
Dave Robbins said, ‘Everybody 19
years old and down is gonna
be saved.'”
And that’s not what I’m saying.
I’m saying that it appears there
will be a plan of salvation in
the millennial reign.
However, for somebody that is my
age and has said, “Well, I’ve
heard the gospel, but yet–you
know, I had a chance to get
saved, but I rejected that.
I didn’t want to do anything
to do with it.”
And then the rapture occurs.
For me to expect to have a
chance to be saved, on the other
side of that, the Bible does not
give us an account of that
anywhere, okay?
But there are some people that
say, “Well, I’ve written a book,
and you can–you need to buy a
bunch of these books, lay them
around your house, lay them
around at work, and in
the laundromats and the coffee
shops and different things.
And, when people who miss
the rapture realize, ‘Well,
something just happened,’ and
then they see this book–” I’ve
actually seen people that said,
“Don’t panic; read this book,
and it will show you how to be
saved after the rapture.”
Okay, this is the thing I wanted
to warn against because
the Bible does not teach that.
It’s very, very important;
there’s–again, I’ll say it.
There’s no such thing as rapture
saints and tribulation saints;
there are only saints.
Doug Norvell: The Roman
government controlled the world,
so many people were looking
for a different Messiah,
a rescuing Messiah.
Remember the story of the woman
at the well, “The woman sayeth
unto him, ‘I know that Messiah
cometh, which is called Christ.’
And Jesus said unto her: ‘I that
speak unto thee am he.'”
Jesus very clearly stated that
he was God and that he was
the Messiah.
We’re even more blessed because
we haven’t seen those things,
but yet we believe.
When Jesus cried out, “My God,
my God, why hast thou
forsaken me?”
he knew every one of these
prophecies had to be fulfilled.
He said, “It is finished.”

Dave: So, to help you explain
this, I want to go through the
many accounts in the Bible of
the two harvests–
the simultaneous harvests.
And the two harvest are
described–let’s start in
Revelation chapter 14.
We’re gonna jump back and forth
here, but I wanted to start in
Revelation 14, verse 14
through 20.
The two harvests occur right
together here–this is very,
very critical–not seven years
apart, but they’re all harvested
at the same time.
Okay, the first harvest is found
in Revelation 14; John said, “I
looked, and behold a white
cloud, and upon the cloud one
sat like the Son of man, having
on his head a golden crown, and
in his hand a sharp sickle.
And another angel came out of
the temple, crying with a loud
voice to him that sat on the
cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and
reap: for the time is come for
thee to reap; for the harvest of
the earth is ripe.
And he that sat on the cloud
thrust in his sickle into
the earth; and the earth
was reaped.”
So, in these scriptures, we
witness the reaping of the
harvest of the earth, and
this is the–referring to
the rapture of the church.
But let’s go on here a little
bit; Revolution 14:17 through
20, talks about a completely
different harvest, and it says,
“And another angel came out of
the temple which is in heaven,
he also having a sharp sickle.
And another angel came out from
the altar, which had power over
fire; and cried with a loud
voice to him that had the sharp
sickle, saying, Thrust in thy
sharp sickle, and gather the
clusters of the vine of the
earth; for her grapes are
fully ripe.
And the angel thrust in his
sickle into the earth, and cast
it into the great winepress
of the wrath of God.
And the winepress was trodden
down without the city, and blood
came out of the winepress, even
unto the horse bridles, by
the space of a thousand and
six hundred furlongs.”
So this harvest is described
as harvesting the vine
of the earth.
When the vine of the earth is
harvested, it was cast into the
winepress of the wrath of God.
Now, this is a picture of God
pouring out his wrath during
the battle of Armageddon.
But verse 20 says, “The wine
press will be trodden
without the city.”
So, the city referred to here
is the city of Jerusalem.
And then the passage states
that, blood–the blood came out
of the winepress by the space of
1600 furlongs; 1600 furlongs
equals approximately 160 miles.
So the battle of Armageddon will
begin in the plain of Megiddo in
northern Israel.
It will culminate–down
the Jordan Valley–it will
culminate at the city of
Jerusalem when Jesus returns to
the earth, plants his feet on
the Mount of Olives, and, from
Megiddo all the way down the
Jordan Valley, all the way down
to Jerusalem, is approximately
160 miles or 1600 furlong.
Revelation 19:15–remember, I’m
gonna jump back and forth here
because you have to
understand this.
Revelation 19:15 also refers to
the battle of Armageddon as the
winepress of God; it says, “And
out of his mouth goeth a sharp
sword, that with it he should
smite the nations: and he shall
rule them with a rod of iron:
and he treadeth the winepress of
the fierceness and wrath
of Almighty God.”
So, when verse 20, in Revelation
14 states, “Blood will flow to
the horse bridles,” there’s been
much speculation about
what that means.
If the scripture literally means
blood will be as deep as a horse
bridle–which would be about
probably, what, 3 1/2, 4 feet
deep–the only place this could
be possible would be in the
Kidron Valley between the Mount
of Olives and the Temple Mount.
Of course, it could be symbolic;
maybe it just means there’s
going to be bloodshed like you
can’t imagine, which will
happen there.
And so we’ll have to live
through that probably–
or at least, you know, the
future events will tell us how
that all plays out.
That’s not the salient issue
here, though.
The parable of Jesus concerning
the two harvests–now, I went
through the one in
Revelation 14.
But now I want to go to, again,
the parable of the wheat and the
tares that Jesus taught in
Matthew chapter 13, verse 24
through 30; it’s
where it begins.
And, again, listen at this very
closely because this will teach
against rapture saints versus
tribulation saints.
This is going to show us that,
at the time of the rapture, that
there’s a complete separation;
there’s no gray area, and
nobody’s gonna pick up a book
and say, “Oh, I missed
the rapture.
I probably ought to get saved.”
This–the parable of the wheat
and the tares teaches against
that, okay?
And this is very important.
I had a gentleman tell me a
few years ago, “Dave, will there
be a plan of salvation in
the millennial reign?”
I said, “It does appear that
there will be; however, I’m not
100% sure who gets to live into
the millennial reign.
There could be an age of
accountability and then a
remnant of Jews, but not
everybody gets to live into
the millennial reign.”
And he said, “Well, if that’s
the case, I’ll just wait till
then to get saved.”
And I said, “That’s not a very
smart idea because you’re gonna
make it–you’re–Number one, I
don’t believe that you–”
I mean, I think he was close to
my age–“I don’t believe that
that will be the case.
Number two, you’re gonna make it
through the Six Trumpet War
where one-third of the world’s
population is going to
be destroyed?
You’re gonna make it through
the Great Tribulation?
You’re gonna make it through
the battle of Armageddon?
And you’re basically playing
Russian roulette with your soul,
saying, ‘Well, I’ll just get
ready over there.'”
I asked my father-in-law about
that, Irvin Baxter, years ago,
“What do you think about that
kind of scenario?”
He said, “Dave,” he said,
“somebody getting saved is
a heart condition.
If that gentleman won’t get
saved on this side of the
rapture and all of those wars,
the second coming and the battle
of Armageddon, he won’t get
saved on the other side.
It’s a heart condition.”
I thought, “Man, that is
so true.”
The best thing you can do is
make sure you’re prepared to
meet Jesus and make the rapture.
That’s your option.
That is the only option, okay?
I don’t want to give you some
kind of a false hope that,
“Yeah, oh, no problem.
Don’t panic.
You missed the rapture; now,
just miraculously get saved,
and it’s all gonna
be all right.”
Let’s go into the parable of the
wheat and the tares–I want to
disprove that theory.
In Matthew chapter 13, verses 24
through 30.
Jesus gives a parable here about
the kingdom of heaven.
What’s it gonna be like when he
comes to the earth and
establishes a kingdom at
the time of the rapture?
In this parable, a man sows
good seed in a field.
But, while the men slept, an
enemy came in and secretly sowed
tares–or let’s say weeds–
among the wheat.
Think of a wheat field, okay?
When the wheat comes up, the
tares–or these weeds–come up
with the wheat.
So, the servants, they go to the
owner, and they say, “Well,
didn’t you buy good seed from
Farm Bureau Co-op or whatever?
Didn’t you plant good seed?
I mean, where did the tares come
from?”
And the owner says, “Hey,
I bought good seed.
I planted good seed.
An enemy has done this.”
And the servants ask, “Well,
should we go in–” now, this is
a parable Jesus is teaching,
the parable of the wheat and
the tares.
The servants go to the master
and say, “Well, do you want us
to go in and start pulling all
the tares out from among
the wheat and ants?”
And the owner said, “No, no,
don’t do that because, in doing
so, you’re going to uproot much
of the wheat with the tares,
if you do that.
So don’t do that.
Let–” and this is
very critical.
Jesus said, “Let both of them
grow, the wheat and the tares;
let both of them grow up until
the time of THE harvest.”
Not until the time of the two
harvests, but until the time of
the harvest; not until the time
of a harvest seven years prior
to something else is going to
happen.
That’s not what he says.
“Let both of them grow up until
the time of the harvest.
And then we will reap both of
them together at the same time.
We will then put the tares in
bundles and burn them in
the fire.
And we’ll gather the wheat
and put it in the barn.”
Did you hear what he said about
the tares?
He’s gonna bundle them together
and burn them in the fire.
Now, this is at the time of his
second coming, at the time of
the rapture.
Well, what in the world does all
that mean?
Well, Jesus is gonna explain to
his disciples, later on in the
chapter, in Matthew chapter 13,
verse 36 through 43; he says
this: He explains the meaning of
the parable of the wheat and the
tares, and he says that the
owner that sowed the field–the
good seed in the field–that’s
the Son of man or Jesus Christ;
he’s speaking of himself.
The field is the world.
So he’s sowing good seed out
in the field.
The seed, obviously, that’s the
Word of God, the seeds that we
would plant.
And the field’s the world.
The good seed are the–that’s
the children of the kingdom;
God has sowed a seed.
He’s taught them the gospel of
the kingdom of God; they’ve been
born again.
The seed is the children of
the kingdom; that’s the wheat.
But the tares are the children
of the wicked one.
So, a complete separation–it
doesn’t say there’s one that’s
wheat, that’s–or, that’s
a tare on his way to
becoming wheat.
It doesn’t say that the tares
can become a wheat after
the rapture, does it?
It says, “Uh uhn;” it says,
“The wheat are the children of
the kingdom.
The tares are the children of
the wicked one–” the one that
the enemy that sowed the tares
is the devil.
So the harvest here is at the
end of the age, at the time of
the rapture.
And the Bible says, in Matthew
13, “The reapers are
the angels.”
So this is an account here that
explains what will happen at the
end of this world–the end of
this age–which is the same
word as the end of this age.
“And the Son of man shall send
forth his angels and they will
gather all things which offend
and that do iniquity
and shall cast them into
a furnace of fire.
There’s gonna be wailing and
gnashing of teeth–” the Bible
talks about that many times in
scripture–“and the righteous
will rule in the kingdom
with their Father.”
Revelation 5:10 says that, “We
will rule as kings and priests
with him on the earth.”
When God comes back, he’s gonna
establish his kingdom here on
the earth.
And, at that time, the wheat–
who are the children of the
kingdom, those are the saved
individuals–they’re gonna be
given immortal bodies,
and they will live into
the millennial reign.
And–but the tares,
they’re cast into the fire.
So, in both of these accounts
here–Revelation 14 and in
Matthew chapter 13–both of
these accounts of the two
simultaneous harvests,
the same event occurs.
The wheat are the saved
individuals; they will
be harvested.
And the tares–the unsaved–
will be sent to damnation.
Okay, now, there are actually
more accounts of
the simultaneous harvest,
believe it or not.
And we’re gonna get into some of
them, but I wanna make sure that
we kind of clarify what
we’re talking about here.
People are teaching that we are
going–there is a chance for
people to wake up–Suddenly,
the Bible said, Jesus said, in
Matthew 24, that, at the time of
the rapture, that two will be in
the bed; one will be taken;
the other is left.
A husband who never wanted to go
to church with his wife–she’s
told him about church the whole
time they’ve been married, but
he said, “I don’t want anything
to do with that.
I’m gonna do whatever
I wanna do.
You go to church.”
He may have tried to influence
her to keep her from going to
church, but he let her; she
finally said, “Well, I’m going;
I don’t care whether you want
to or not.”
There will come a time when two
people are laying in the bed
beside each other, and, all of a
sudden, he sees her start to go
up, and he starts to grab for
her, but his hands go right
through her feet.
And he says, “Hold on a minute.
Where are you going?”
And she goes up through the
ceiling, just like Jesus was
taken in Acts chapter 1.
The Bible says, “One’s gonna be
taken, the other left.”
Or maybe it’s a husband that
goes, and the wife is left.
But it doesn’t turn around and
say, Jesus say, “But don’t
panic, husband or wife.
It’s no problem.
You missed the rapture.
There’s a chance to be saved.”
That’s not what the Bible says.
And so I wanna make sure that we
know the truth about all this
because the–making the rapture
is the number one most important
thing in your life.
I’ve gotta be part of the family
of God so I can make sure I’m
prepared for that event.
