From Armageddon to the Millennium: What Happens Next—and How to Prepare

Dave Robbins: What is the true sequence of events as this age
draws to a close and the millennial reign begins?
Who are the mortals that will survive Armageddon and live
into Jesus Christ’s 1000-year kingdom here on earth?
And most importantly, what should you be doing right now
to prepare for this coming transition?
Well, we’re gonna unpack these and many other critical
questions on today’s edition of “The Endtime Show.”

Dave: Good afternoon, everybody.
I’m Dave Robbins with Endtime Ministries.
I do thank you for joining me on this edition of
“The Endtime Show.”
And I know that we have many Bible study teachers, and
pastors, and just people that are studying the prophecies of
the Bible that watch us on TV, and listen to us on the radio,
and study our products, and different DVDs, and videos,
and things that we put out the books.
So, one of the questions that I get a lot is the sequence
of these events.
How’s all this stuff gonna play out?
What’s this transition gonna look like?
Cause everybody’s gonna face this, okay?
And so a lot of people that really study these things, they
want to know, “What’s this sequence?”
Help me figure all this stuff out, because it’s laid out in
the Word of God, but sometimes if you read it, man, it just
looks like, you know, just Greek.
So what I wanted to do is to spend some time today to help
you with the sequence of endtime events that happened right here
at the end of the age and how we transition into the coming
1000-year millennial reign.
So, I’m going to–I’m gonna jump in right here in Revelation
chapter 19, and I’m gonna run down through here because I want
to make sure you understand.
Because there’s all kinds of commentaries out there, a lot of
different things that really kind of get messed up on
Revelation 19 and how this big transition takes place, and even
into chapter 20 in Revelation.
So, what happens is, is that, if you study this, God spends
chapters–Revelation chapter 17 and 18 explaining the judgment
of false Christianity, where false Christianity is referred
to as “the mother of Harlots and all her daughters,
the great wh–.”
Now, I know that’s, you know, kind of strong terminology, but
this is scriptural.
It’s a church, but it’s a compromised church.
And the extent of God’s judgment against “the great w–” or
this false church, it illustrates how much God hates
false Christianity.
You say, “But, well, I’m a Christian.”
Well, I understand that and I think that you may be on the
path, but just because it says “Christian” on the church, or on
the sign outside of your church, does not necessarily mean that
true Christianity is being taught there.
And again, if you look at what’s going on in our world, there’s
a lot of churches that are really just kind of going
completely, diametrically opposed to the Word of God.
But yet, people are still calling themselves Christian,
and the Bible says there will be people that stand before the
Lord someday that say, “Lord, look at–we’re Christians, look
at all the many mighty works that we’ve done.”
And the Lord’s gonna say, “Depart from me because I don’t
even know you.”
That’s just the Bible.
And so that’s why it’s of utmost importance that you become a
part of a true Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church that will
teach the Word of God, the Gospel of the kingdom of God,
without fear or favor, okay?
That’s number one in your life.
So God talks about this in Revelation 17 and 18.
He’s going to judge this false religious system.
Because it has had–it has allowed so many people to
believe they were saved when they weren’t.
And God’s–God is just not happy with that, at all.
But in Revelation 19:1-5, it finishes describing the judgment
of this false Christianity, and a great voice of many people in
heaven is heard, and it says, in Revelation 19:1-2, “After these
things, I heard a great voice of much people in heaven saying,
‘Hallelujah, salvation, and glory, and honor, and power unto
the Lord our God, for true and righteous are his judgments, for
he hath judged the great w–‘” this false religious
system, “…which did corrupt the earth with her fornication
and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.”
And you remember back in the seals, the fifth seal.
The Bible says, you know, “How long do we have to wait until
you avenge the blood?”
And he said, “Oh, I’m gonna avenge the blood, don’t worry.
You guys just wait for a little while.”
And the Bible says here that he had to “avenge the blood of his
servants at her hand.”
The remarks about false Christianity, they are concluded
in Revelation chapter 19:3, “And her smoke rose up forever
and ever.”
Now–then we go to kind of like a transition, and we’re going to
the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Now, we’re right here at the end of the age, and I’m talking to
you today about the transition from the end of this age at the
Second Coming, the marriage supper of the Land, the Rapture,
the battle of Armageddon, when God will establish his kingdom
here on the earth, and then the transition into the
millennial reign.
So in Revelation 19, we come to the marriage supper of the Lamb,
and, you know, really after these horrible pronouncements in
the previous chapter, these pronouncements of judgment, the
mood of Revelation 19, it shifts to one of rejoicing.
Revelation 19:7 says, “Let us be glad and rejoice and give honor
to him, for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath
made herself ready.”
Now you know who the wife is, that’s the church.
Well, this is where you–we kind–some people have kind of
got this–you know, they’ve misinterpreted this.
Many people have taught the Rapture of the church occurs in
Revelation 4:1, “Come up hither, John, I will show you the things
which will be here after.”
And some people have said–many people teach that that’s the
Rapture of the church.
However, Revelation 19:7…
and in Revelation 19:7, the marriage of the Lamb to his
bride, the church, has not happened yet.
Also, in verse 7, it reveals that his wife hath made
herself ready.
Revelation 19:8 describes the bride’s preparation, “…and to
her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean
and white, for the fine linen is the righteousness of
the saints.”
And this is of utmost importance to all of us, everybody
listening to me today.
You want to have the righteousness of God applied to
your life.
You want your sins to be applied, to be transmitted
to him.
And he took them on because his blood paid for that, right?
On Calvary, death, burial, resurrection.
So the Bible says that we–“He would be made sin for us who
knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness.”
The righteousness might be applied to us, imputed to us.
And that’s where the clean and white, the fine linen is the
righteousness of the saints.
You do that–you get that righteousness by being
born again.
There’s no other way to get it.
So after this, the voice said to John in Revelation 9:9, “Blessed
are they which are called unto the marriage supper of
the Lamb.”
Now, it’s interesting that this is the only place in the
scripture where the marriage supper of the Lamb is
specifically mentioned by name, here.
Immediately afterward, in Revelation 19:11, heaven is
opened and Jesus appears in the sky.
And the Bible says, “And I saw heaven open, and behold,
a white horse.
And he that sat upon him was called faithful and true, and in
righteousness, he doth judge and make war.”
So he’s getting ready to go to war.
And of course, the–Revelation 16 and all the way over into 19,
it talks about–it gives probably one of the best
descriptions of the battle of Armageddon that we have.
So the question that I wanted to go through today is–one of
them is how do all of these things fit together?
Because a lot of people, I’ve had Bible study teachers in
just–you know, people that just really–or people just
studying it for themselves.
They kind of had a hard time fitting all these
things together.
Becomes–some of them almost act like they contradict
something over here, and–but they don’t!
They all fit together perfectly, we’ve just got to get our
understanding on the same page of what God’s trying to tell
us, right?

Dave: So in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, it says this, “For the
Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and the trumpet of God, and the dead in
Christ shall rise first.
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and
so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
Now, the reason–one of the reasons I wanted to do this
today is because most prophecy teachers would teach that the
rapture occurs, then there’s a seven-year time-period,
they would say “The Great Tribulation,” and then the
Second Coming of Jesus, when he comes to put his–plant his
feet upon the Mount of Olives, that there’s a seven-year
time-period in between those two events.
And that the Rapture and the Second Coming are two totally
separate events, but that simply is not found anywhere
in scripture.
So I am messing with some eschatology interpretations
here, and some belief systems, and different things,
you understand?
And I’m not doing that to be contentious, I’m telling you,
this is what the Bible–it’s teaching us here.
So the scriptures here are describing the same event as the
bride meeting her Bridegroom for the marriage supper in
Revelation 19, when we’re all caught up to meet the Lord in
the air.
It’s the same thing in Revelation 19, that the bride
has made herself ready for the marriage supper of the Lamb, and
to be–to meet the Bridegroom.
It’s all one continuous event.
The–what I’m getting at is the Rapture, the marriage supper of
the Lamb, and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is one
continuous event.
I’ve heard people refer to that as the “U-turn theory,” and
all that.
That’s not a U-turn theory, that is a one continuous event
that happens.
And you’ve got to lay it out like that, or you’re gonna be
really messed up when you talk about the four different
accounts of the Second Coming in Revelation, and things.
You’re gonna be really stuck.
You’re gonna have the wrath of God happening four times in the
book of Revelation, and accounts of the Second Coming happening
four separate times.
It only happens once in the future, and so you–that’s why
I wanted to spend a little time here today on the sequence of
events here.
So these scriptures are describing the event as the
bride meeting or Bridegroom for the marriage supper in
Revelation 19.
And although we’re not given much detail about the marriage
supper of the Lamb itself, it is obvious that it will occur
somewhere in the sky, and since, by then, the church will have
been–we will have received our immortal bodies, this could be
held virtually anywhere.
But some–here–again, here’s–just make sure you
get this.
It’s very, very important.
Some have speculated that the marriage supper will last for
seven years, and it’s obvious this cannot be true, since in
Revelation 19, the battle of Armageddon follows immediately
after the supper of–the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Revelation 19 lays this out perfectly.
So you say, “Well, what about the Second Coming of
Jesus Christ?
Because when the Rapture occurs, we’re going up, and at the
Second Coming of Jesus Christ, we’re coming back with
him, right?”
So they say, “Oh, no, the Bible’s contradicting itself.”
The Bible never contradicts itself, you’ve just got to get
your–the interpretation of it all correct.
And when you do, man, it makes perfect sense.
Because you got to understand, the Rapture happens, we have the
marriage supper of the Lamb in the sky, and we’re immortal at
that point, and then we go to fight on behalf of Israel at the
battle of Armageddon when the Lord plants his feet up on
a Mount of Olives.
Once you understand it’s one continuous event, he gathers his
bride on the way to fight on behalf of Israel at the battle
of Armageddon, it’s easy to understand.
So when we talk about the Second Coming of Jesus, it’s recorded
several times in the book of Revelation.
The–it’s recorded in chapter 6, the sixth and seventh seal,
chapter 11, the seventh vial or the seventh trumpet, and the
seventh seal–or the seventh vial of the wrath of God in
Revelation chapter 16.
So the last description of the Second Coming is found in
Revelation 19:11 and 12.
It’s the same thing here, “And I saw heaven open to behold a
white horse, and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and
True, and in righteousness, he doth judge and make war.
His eyes were as the flame of fire, his head wore many crowns
on his head, and he had a name written that no man knew but he
himself,” and in this passage, John saw heaven opened, okay?
The same event happened in Revelation 6:14, at this–this
is at the sixth seal.
The Bible says in Revelation 6 that “and heaven departed as
a scroll when it’s rolled together, and every mountain
and every island moved out of their places.”
So these two accounts describe the same event, and in
Revelation 19:13 and 14, the name of the one on the white
horse is “The Word of God.”
Bible says, “And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood,
and his name is called ‘The Word of God’ and the armies which
were in heaven, followed him upon white horses, clothed in
fine linen, white and clean.”
So we know for certain this is Jesus, because in John chapter
1, verse 1 and 14, we’re explicitly told that Jesus is
the Word of God, “In the beginning was the Word, the Word
was with God, the Word was God,” and verse 14 says, “…and the
Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”
So this is talking about Jesus here.
Revelation 19:14 explains the armies which were in heaven,
they follow Jesus upon white horses, as well.
Now this, obviously, you guys know this refers to the church,
because Enoch prophesized saying this would be–the book of
Jude, chapter 1 verse 14.
It says, “Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of
his saints.”
So that’s the armies of heaven.
So that brings us to the battle of Armageddon because again, the
Rapture, marriage supper of the Lamb in the sky, and then
immediately, the Lord comes to fight on behalf of Israel at the
battle of Armageddon with his saints who have been given
immortal bodies, at this point.
And of course, the book of Joel chapter 2 gives–in the first,
I don’t know, maybe one down through, I think, maybe, verse
10 or 12, gives it a description of this army.
They were–they would fall upon a sword, but it won’t hurt them.
They’re just gonna keep on coming because they’re immortal.
So then we get to the battle of Armageddon, this is when the
Lord’s gonna plant his feet on the Mount of Olives.
What are we talking about here today?
The transition from the end of this age into the millennial
reign, this is how it happens.
At the Battle of Armageddon, the armies of the world government,
led by the Antichrist, they’re gonna decide to invade Jerusalem
to force them into compliance to the will of the Antichrist and
his world governing system.
Right now, Israel is not complying with that.
The international community sees Israel as illegally occupying
East Jerusalem and the West Bank, but that simply is not the
case in God’s eyes, which is the most important thing.
So these world governing armies, they’re gonna come across the
Euphrates River.
The Bible says the Euphrates River is gonna be dried up.
This is the sixth vial of the wrath of God.
They’re gonna come down through Syria, and then they’re gonna
cross into Israel, and that’s where the battle is going to be
joined with Israel, in the Plain of Megiddo, in the north, also
known as the Valley of Jezreel.
Many of Israel’s battles in the Bible took place up there in the
Jezreel Valley.
Gideon and the Midianites, that happened up there in the Plain
of Megiddo.
I’ve stood there many times and wondered, man, that all of these
battles that have been fought here in the final battle on
Earth, the Battle of Armageddon, is gonna begin there.
And included in this world governing army, there’s–
Ezekiel 38 tells us, Russia, Iran or Persia, Russia, Gog and
Magog, Turkey, which is Togarmah in Ezekiel 38.
Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer, which is Eastern Europe, all of these are
going to come down against Israel to battle.
And of course, Israel, they’re going to fight valiantly.
I mean, look at what they’ve been doing.
But now, it’s in their Promised Land.
They’re right there, it’s coming down.
This isn’t just Lebanon, you know, lobbing some rockets–or
I should say, what Hezbollah, or even Hamas, with the invasion on
the southern border on October 7, 2023.
I’m talking about world-governing armies coming
down against Israel to force her into compliance.
And of course, Israel’s gonna fight.
She’s gonna fight valiantly against these world-governing
forces, but because of their superior firepower, Israel’s
gonna be driven slowly back down the Jordan Valley, down there
where it comes down and hits Beit She’an, it’s gonna come
right down the Jordan Valley, and go right up into Jordan up
into the Kidron Valley.
And it’s–there’s gonna be days of bitter fighting.
The Antichrist and his armies, they’re gonna reach the city of
Jerusalem, and according to Zechariah 14:2, half of the city
of Jerusalem will then–it’s gonna fall to these superior
forces of the world-governing army.
Imagine Israel taking on Russia, and Turkey, and Eastern Europe,
and Iran, and all of these nations, coming down at
one time.
Well, when Israel–when it’s gonna look like Israel is on the
brink of defeat, this is gonna trigger the intervention into
the war of Jesus Christ, himself.
The Bible says that “his fury will come up in his face and he
will descend from heaven, and the church will be raptured to
meet him in the sky.”
You say, “I don’t know if that’s, you know, the timing of
all of this, Dave.”
Okay, let me give you one more proof before we move on.
The Bible–you guys know that the Lord comes as a thief in the
night, only one time in the future, right?
That doesn’t happen 17 times.
There’s not 17 different parts to the first Resurrection.
The Lord comes as a thief in the night one time in the near
future, okay?
Well, that happens after the sixth vial of the wrath of God.
It’s Revelation chapter 16.
The Bible says that the–these armies will–that “the great
river, Euphrates, will be dried up to make way for the kings of
the earth to come down against Israel to battle.”
Then the Bible says, “Behold, I come as a thief.
Blessed is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments, lest they
walk naked and they see his shame.”
And the very next verse–that’s the Rapture.
The very next verse says, “And he gathered them together in
a Hebrew tongue called Armageddon.”
Now, are y’all starting to get the picture here of the
transition from this time of human government, and from the
end of this age, into when the Lord’s gonna plant his feet up
on the Mount of Olives, and we’re gonna establish his
kingdom here on the earth, and we’re gonna move off into the
1000 year millennial reign?
Y’all kind of getting the picture of the transition
here, right?
So the Lord’s gonna descend from heaven, and the church will be
raptured to meet him in the sky, that’s when he comes as a thief,
but afterward, Jesus–we’re gonna have the marriage supper
of the Lamb in the sky, and then the Lord’s gonna come and plant
his feet on the Mount of Olives.
That’s Zachariah chapter 14.
The Bible says, “And he will fight as he did in the day
of battle.”
And once you can tie all these verses in together, then you can
lay it out and say, “Oh my goodness, I understand how this
great transition is gonna transpire–gonna occur.”
And then, Revelation 19:15-16.
It describes that–what’s gonna happen next.
It says that Out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with
it he should smite the nations and he should rule them with a
rod of iron.
And he’s gonna tread the winepress of the fierceness of
the wrath of Almighty God, and he hath on his vesture and on
his name–on his thigh, a name written, “King of kings and Lord
of lords.”
And folks, this is gonna happen in the very near future.
There’s not 0.01% chance that it won’t happen.
It’s prophesized in the Bible, and the prophecies always come
to pass.
So this passage describes Jesus treading the winepress of the
fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God, and this same
treading of the winepress by Jesus is described back in
Revelation 14:19, which it talks about when the reapers have the
sickles, and they go on to reap the harvest of the earth, and
the harvest of the vine of the earth.
It’s the same thing as Matthew 13, the parable of the wheat and
the tares.
And then, Revelation 19:15, it also says that “Jesus will rule
the nations with a rod of iron.”
You remember back in Revelation 12, when we get–we’re getting
ready to go into the war in heaven.
Bible–Revelation 12:5, though, gives a snapshot of 2000 years
before that, and it states that “the man child, to the woman
with 12 stars around her head, was to rule all the nations with
a rod of iron.”
It absolutely–it provides absolute proof that Jesus was
the man child in Revelation 12, and the nation–the woman that
would birth the man child was Israel, and that’s exactly what
happened 2000 years ago.
And then, of course, there’s a 2000-year jump after
that, right?
To the time of just prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
So this brings us to the supper of the Great God, and I wanted
to mention this, because it’s kind of misunderstood by some,
but I’m just gonna, you know, spend just a short amount of
time here.
But in Revelation 19:17-18, it gives a powerful image of an
angel standing in the sun, calling out the birds of the air
and the beasts of the field, for the supper of the Great God.
And in Ezekiel 39–or Ezekiel 39, it talks about “called the
fowls of the air and the beast of the field.”
This isn’t a feast for the righteous, it’s a feast that’s
gonna be upon the fallen, the kings, captains, and mighty men
who stood against God at the battle of Armageddon.
There’s gonna be a great slaughter.
God is just going to annihilate them, and these beasts and fowls
will be called to feast on them, and these men will become food
for the birds and the beasts.
And this shows how fierce God’s judgment’s going to be against
the wicked, here.
Ezekiel 39:17-18 describes the exact same event, calling the
birds and the beast to consume the flesh and drink the blood of
the mighty.
And that’s why we know that the Battle of Gog and Magog, in
Ezekiel 38 and 39, is the exact same event as the battle of
Armageddon in Revelation.
Same thing, God is drawing a clear line to those who oppose
him in the final battle will face total judgment, but those
who stand with Christ will reign with him in victory.
