Exploding Knowledge & Rising Prophecy: Daniel 12 Is Happening Now

Dave Robbins: Open your Bibles to Daniel chapter 12.
You know, as the end draws near, knowledge is exploding like
never before.
Humanity races to and fro across the globe while prophetic
understanding of God’s Word is unsealed at an astonishing rate.
Michael will soon stand up, launching the great tribulation;
but in these darkening days the wise will shine like stars,
leading many to righteousness.
Well, get ready.
The time of the end is here, and we’re gonna break it all down on
this edition of “The Endtime Show.”

Dave: Good afternoon, everybody.
I’m Dave Robbins with Endtime Ministries, and I do thank you
for joining me on this edition of “The Endtime Show.”
And we’re gonna talk about the final chapter of the book of
Daniel, Daniel chapter 12.
And I’ve wanted to do a program on this for quite some time
about the increase of knowledge in the end time, both secular
knowledge and the knowledge of the plan of God and Bible
prophecy in the end time.
Both of them are increasing at an exponential rate, and so
we’re gonna talk about that today.
But when we look at Daniel chapter 12, it begins by talking
about the Great Tribulation.
And you can really read chapter 11 right over into chapter 12.
There were no chapter breaks and different things back then, but
it starts off by–in Daniel chapter 11, it–from verse 21 on
to, I think, verse 45 talks about the Antichrist and his
kingdom and then it gets into talking about the great
tribulation, which is when the Antichrist will reign, and
that’s where we’ll pick it up here in Daniel chapter 12
because at this point the end is drawing near.
Now, certainly we’re seeing prophecies happening all around
us and we’re already way off into the end time, but at that
time at the halfway point–there’s a final
7-year point.
It talks about it, Daniel chapter 9.
There’s a final 7 years.
It’s the Daniel’s 70th week.
It’s a 7-year period.
The Great Tribulation occurs at the 3 1/2-year mark, halfway
through that final 7-year period.
That’s when the Great Tribulation when we–will begin
after the war in heaven, and that’s when the Antichrist will
stand in the Jewish temple proclaiming to be God and cause
the sacrifices to cease.
That’s the abomination of desolation.
Jesus told us in Matthew 24 that there would be
Great Tribulation.
When you see that event happen, the abomination of desolation,
then would be Great Tribulation as–such as never been on the
earth or ever again will be.
That’s why the Jews will have to flee.
So Daniel chapter 12 is where we’re gonna pick it up.
At that time, the–and this is talked about in Revelation 12
as well.
This is the war in heaven.
At that time, Michael the great archangel, which would be the
defender of the Jewish people, Daniel 12 says he’s gonna
stand up.
And when he does, there will be a time of trouble such as never
was since there was a nation, and that’s gonna be the
Great Tribulation.
Then Daniel says many who sleep in the dust of the earth shall
awake, and this is talking about the time of the Rapture here,
the first part.
Some to everlasting life and some to shame and
everlasting content.
Now, that will be at the time of the Great White Throne Judgment.
And so make no mistake, though, is that this is not a
7-year tribulation.
The Bible never says one–in one place that there is a 7-year
tribulation period.
I know that that’s taught by many mainstream prophecy
enthusiasts, but that simply is not scriptural.
There are six very clear scriptures that tell us the
Great Tribulation only lasts 3 1/2 years.
The Bible talks about a time, times, and half a times, 42
months, 1,260 days.
All of them are 3 1/2 years, the duration of the
Great Tribulation.
So, yes, there is a final 7-year period called Daniel’s 70th
week, but the real tribulation or the Great Tribulation Jesus
spoke of, the worst trouble the world has ever seen, begins
exactly halfway through at the event called the abomination
of desolation.
Now–again, Jesus warns us of this in Matthew 24.
He said, “When you see the abomination of desolation,
standing in the holy place, then let those which be in Judea flee
into the mountains,” and that’s what lets us know that also
besides 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, verse 3 and 4 that the–it
will be the end–the abomination of desolation will happen on the
Temple Mount in a rebuilt Jewish temple.
The Bible says the Antichrist will stand in the temple
claiming to be God himself.
And then Jesus said when you see that event happen, then
the–shall be Great Tribulation such as was not since the
beginning of the world nor no ever again shall be.
Now, this is how Revelation chapter–or Daniel chapter
12 begins.
And now if we go to Revelation 12, at the same moment Michael
stands up, the war in heaven breaks out; and this gives us
the timing–this and Revelation 12 gives us the timing of the
war in heaven.
There are many people that believe the war in heaven has
already happened, but it happens 3 1/2 years prior to the second
coming of Jesus Christ when Michael stands up.
So Michael and his–now I’m in–over in Revelation 12,
Michael and his angels, they fight against the dragon, that
old serpent called the devil and Satan and sa–of course, Satan
and his angels lose to Michael and his angels and Satan is cast
out of heaven once and for all.
No more access to heaven for Satan along with his angels.
No more access to the throne.
No more accusing the brethren day and night.
And that’s when Satan will come down and persecute the Jews and
the Christians, and it’s gonna be Satan’s–the Bible says
rejoice you that are in heaven, but woe to the inhabitors of the
earth because Satan come down at you, having great wrath.
Satan’s wrath is the Great Tribulation.
God’s wrath is poured out upon those armies right there, the
seven vials of the wrath of God in Revelation chapter 16.
Now, currently Satan still accuses God’s people before
the Lord.
Satan still has access to heaven right now.
I know that sounds crazy, but it’s the same way that he did in
the book of Job chapter 1, and so he walks.
The Bible says in Job chapter 1 that the sons of God appear
before God to give an account and Satan was with them.
He still had access to heaven then, and the Lord said, “Satan,
what have you been doing?”
He said, “Oh, I’ve been going to and fro on the earth.”
And the Lord said, “Well, have you considered my servant Job?”
And he said, “Well, yeah, I’ve considered him, but you’ve got a
hedge of protection around him.”
Well, he said, “Yeah, if you take that hedge of protection
down, I’ll–he’ll curse you to your face.
Let me get at him.”
And, of course, the Lord allowed that to happen.
And so Satan is still there accusing you and I, the
brethren, day and night.
He walks about seeking whom he may devour in the earth, trying
to load us down with guilt so we’ll walk in unbelief.
“I don’t know if I’m gonna make it to heaven or not.”
Because he’s trying to put an element in–of fear in you,
but the Bible says God has not given us a spirit of fear but of
love, power, and of a sound mind.
And once you understand the Bible and you get these
principles in your heart and in your mind, then you can
have peace.
But during the Great Tribulation, Satan’s access to
heaven is gonna change.
No more access to heaven at that point.
The accuser of the brethren is cast down.
He’s bound to the earth at that point.
And when he hits the earth, he comes down with great wrath.
The Bible says he comes down with great wrath because he
knows that his time is short, and it’s only–he’s only gonna
have 3 1/2 years before the battle of Armageddon when he’s
cast into the lake of fire to–well, to the bottomless pit
for 1,000 years.
So he’s gonna have a very short period of time here, and, again,
that’s not the wrath–the Great Tribulation.
It’s very, very important.
That’s not the wrath of God, everyone.
This is the wrath of Satan, the Great Tribulation.
Again, Satan’s final desperate rage against God’s people, both
Jew and Christian.
The Bible says in that chapter that he comes down and
persecutes the woman, which is–you know, with 12 stars that
are on her head.
That’s Israel.
And those that have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
So in Revelation 12, it tells us he immediately goes after that
woman who brought forth the man child.
The woman is Israel, clothed with the sun.
Twelve stars on her head, that represents the twelve tribes.
And this is not–it’s not–honestly, it’s not
talking–a lot of people think, “Well, that’s Mother Mary.”
It’s not the mother Mary, it’s the nation of Israel.
And Satan hates Israel because she gave the world the Messiah
and she gave the world the Bible, every word written by
Jewish hands under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost.
But God has a plan of protection.
The Bible says the woman, Israel, is given two wings of a
great eagle, where she can fly into the wilderness into her
place, which is Israel, where she is nourished for a time,
times, and half a time.
Three and one-half years, that’s–again, that’s the
duration of the Great Tribulation right there.
Again, who–well, okay, so who’s the eagle?
Who’s the one that’s protecting Israel?
Well, you look at the symbols in Daniel 7, lion with
eagle’s wings.
The lion is Great Britain, the nation.
The Bible says in Daniel 7, verse 17 through 23 that
the–these animal symbols symbolize kingdoms or in
modern-day terminology a nation that will be on the earth when
the ancient of days or Jesus Christ comes to establish his
kingdom here on the earth.
So you go back to the lion or modern-day Great Britain, that a
nation with a symbol of an eagle is gonna be plucked away
from that.
Daniel said, “I beheld till the eagle’s wings were plucked and
may stand upon the feet as a man and a man’s heart was given
to it.”
So what nation with the symbol of an eagle was plucked out of
the modern-day nation of Great Britain back in 1776 when we
declared our Declaration of Independence?
Of course, that’s the United States of America.
That’s the birth of the United States of America, what, 250
years ago now, and the United States has been Israel’s
greatest friend and protector on the world stage.
And according to this prophecy, America will stand with Israel
all the way to the end.

Dave: Israel will not be overrun by the Antichrist during the
Great Tribulation.
The Bible says she will dwell in relative safety in her Promised
Land, in what we call Israel proper, pre-1967 borders,
because Jesus warned that the West Bank region would be a time
of great slaughter.
There’s gonna be another Jewish Holocaust in that region.
But he said when you see the abomination of desolation occur,
let the–let those who be in Judea, the Jews, flee into
the mountains.
And so they’re gonna flee over into what we call Israel proper
and–not the West Bank, but into–it would be westward
toward the Mediterranean Sea, and that’s her po–that is
her–the portion of Promised Land that she inhabits today.
Let’s put it like that.
It’s not the entire Promised Land but the portion that she
would inhabit during the final 3 1/2-year period and the final
7-year period basically.
So–and that’s until the final invasion of the battle of
Armageddon when all the nations will gather against Jerusalem.
Now, I say pre-1967 borders, pre-1967 borders would–Israel
controlled west–the western portion of Jerusalem.
During the final 7 years, she is going to control all
of Jerusalem.
And then the Bible says at the battle of Armageddon, that half
of the city will be captured.
So all the way up to the battle of Armageddon Israel has
controlled the entire city of the–of Jerusalem.
So here’s a question for all of us.
How do we overcome in such dark days?
A lot of people are wondering, “Man, would you–you guys teach
we’re gonna be here through the Great Tribulation.”
We do teach that ’cause that’s what the Bible teaches.
In no uncertain terms, the Bible teach that.
There’s not one scripture in the Bible that says the Rapture will
occur and the church will be taken prior to the
Great Tribulation.
There’s no scriptures in the Bible for that.
Yeah, the Bible does say we’re not appointed unto the wrath
of God.
The wrath of God is the seven vials of the wrath of God in
Revelation 16.
That’s not the Great Tribulation.
This is so important that people understand this.
And so you say, “Well, you guys say the Bible teaches that we’re
gonna go through the Great Tribulation.”
Yes, we do teach that.
“How do we overcome in such dark days?”
Well, the Bible says in Revelation 12:11, it gives us
the answer.
It says they overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word
of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto
the death.
Let’s be honest.
Just like there have been Christians persecuted for the
last couple thousand years–11 of the 12 of the first apostles
were martyred, and yet we think, well, we’re somehow maybe a
little more special than them.
We’re gonna be pulled out of here and we won’t have to face
any of this stuff.
That’s not scriptural.
Look throughout history at all the millions of Christians that
have been killed by–during the–by the Catholic
Church even.
The Bible says they would be drunken with the blood of the
saints under the Spanish Inquisition and the crusades and
all the different things that happened because they would not
deny and convert to Catholicism.
And so it’s something that we really need to look at because
look at all the Christians that have been persecuted for the
name of Jesus Christ even during the–under the Roman rule and
different things, and yet we think that, “Well, the last-time
generation is somehow special and we’re not appointed
unto wrath.”
We’re not appointed unto the wrath of God, but we will be
here during the time of the wrath of Satan.
And let’s just–I mean, there’s no sense in sugarcoating
this stuff.
The Bible says there’s gonna be some people that are put to
death during that time.
And I know that that’s, you know, kind of an uncomfortable
thing to talk about, but we need to talk about it because it’s
very, very important.
The Bible talks about it.
Why shouldn’t we talk about it?
And–but the Bible says that right there in the very end,
that the people overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word
of their testimony and they loved not their lives, even unto
the death.
Now, does that mean every single Christian and every single Jew
is gonna be put to death?
No, it does not.
The Bible says that at the time of the Rapture, that the dead in
Christ will rise first and then we who are alive and remain will
be caught up to meet them in the air.
So there will be Christians and there will be Jews that are
alive here on the earth at the time of the Rapture, but there
will be some, the Bible says, that will be persecuted.
And so how do we overcome?
The blood of the Lamb.
“I know I’m saved.
I’ve got my calling and election is sure, and it takes–” Once
you get your calling and election sure, that takes the
fear of death out of the whole thing.
And then the word of the testimony.
There’s something you can’t take.
You can take my Bible away, you can take the computer away, but
you can’t take away my testimony and what God has done for me.
And so the blood of Jesus is our defense.
It’s–it covers every sin and makes us righteous before God.
Our personal testimony, that’s our offensive weapon and
it–we’re simply telling people what Jesus done for us.
And that’s how Paul testified before kings, wasn’t it?
And remember Festus and Felix and King Agrippa.
And that’s also how we go out into the world and win souls.
“Look at what God did for me.
He can do the same thing for you.”
So–you know, listen, friends.
The gate–you know, the Bible says the gate is strait and the
way is narrow and few there be that find it.
So don’t try–there are many people today that are trying to
broaden the gate that leads to life everlasting, but you can’t
do that.
It’s not possible.
Don’t try to broaden the gate to please the crowd.
I mean, don’t start allowing things into the church just to
try to grow the crowd.
Uh-uh, we’ve got to stand on the Word of God.
And believe me, there are a lot of people doing that.
And we’ve got to stay with the Word of God, we’ve got to love
God, we gotta keep his commandments, and we must be
born again like Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3.
Both Jew and Gentile must be born again.
The early church was Jewish-Gentile mixed, and the
end-time church will be Jewish-Gentile mixed.
You can see that in Revelation chapter 7.
The Bible says John saw a multitude no man could number
out of every people, kindred, tongue, and nation,
both Jew and Gentile.
Now, because halfway through the final 7 years Michael will stand
up, soon Satan will be cast down with fury and soon the Great
Tribulation will begin.
Now, I know that this is a few years off.
We haven’t even started the final 7 years yet, but
we’re preparing.
We’re preparing for the times that are coming.
Say, “That’s a sense–you’re putting a sense of fear in me.”
That’s not what I’m trying to do.
You gotta understand I’m trying to prepare you for the soon
return of Jesus Christ.
You get prepared for that, that takes the fear element
out, okay?
I’m very well aware of what’s gonna happen in the future, but
I’m not fearful because I know if I don’t wake up in the
morning where I’m headed, where I’m gonna end up.
I’m gonna end up in the arms–
The Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with
the Lord.
I’m not fearful of that.
And so–even in some of the dark hours that may come, God has a
plan for Israel.
He’s got a plan for his church.
He’s got a plan for you.
He’s got a plan for me, if you will just trust in the blood of
the Lamb and stand on the Word of God.
Now, something I wanted to cover here, and I’ve been wanting to
do a program on this for quite some time.
And I think Vince may write an article on it for the–one of
the upcoming Endtime magazines and probably get a little more
detail than I’ll have time to today.
But I’ve been looking at this, the increase of knowledge.
Let me show you what I’m talking about.
In Daniel chapter 12, verse 3 through 4–now, you understand
the timing of everything here.
We’re talking about right here in the end time.
Daniel 12, verse 3 through 4, it says this.
And I wanted to read the Amplified version of the Bible
for this because it sets the stage for a very powerful
end-time picture, and here’s the exact wording.
Like the King James Version, I think, it says and knowledge
will increase in the end time type situation, but the
Amplified version says this.
Again, this is Daniel 12, verses 3 through 4.
It says, “Those who are spiritually wise will shine
brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those
who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars
forever and ever.”
So what’s the role of the church in the end time?
Or what has the role of the church always been?
Go ye into the world.
Make disciples, teach, baptize, teach.
Matthew 28:19-20.
So our goal is to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom of God,
leading people to Jesus Christ and to prepare them for the soon
return of Jesus and the kingdom of God.
So the Bible says right here in Daniel chapter 12, “And those
who lead many to righteousness will shine like stars forever
and ever.
But as for you, Daniel–” ’cause Daniel’s asking, “What in the
world is going on here?
When’s all this stuff gonna wrap up?”
Because you understand that even Daniel did not understand many
of the prophecies that he gave.
Six chapters of the twelve chapters of the book of Daniel
is pretty much devoted to end-time Bible prophecy or
prophecy in one way or another, six of the twelve chapters, and
Daniel didn’t understand much of that.
He couldn’t.
He–Daniel, there’s no way he could have understood about
Great Britain, the United States, Russia, Germany, the
European Union.
He couldn’t have understood that.
So God give it to him in animal symbols, but he said these
animal symbols–these animals are gonna symbolize nations that
will be on the earth in the future.
Now we can understand that.
So Daniel is wondering here, “What in the–you know, what are
we talking about here, Lord?”
And the Lord says, “Hey, but as for you, Daniel, conceal these
words and seal up the scroll until the end of time.”
Now, again, I’m in the Amplified version here.
He–it says, “Many will go back and forth and search anxiously
through the scroll,” that Daniel has written, “and knowledge of
the purpose of God as revealed by his prophets will greatly
increase,” in the end time.
Remember, he said close up and seal this book because it’s for
the people of the end.
And so that’s why when we talk about the timing of this and the
increase of knowledge, he did not say that the apostles that
will estab–that the Lord will establish his church through in
the near future in the New Testament, that they
will understand.
He did not say that.
He said, “Daniel, you close up and seal this book because it’s
for the people of the time of the end.”
So now here we are and there’s no way until the creation of
these nations and the upcoming Antichrist and the Tribulation
and the peace agreement between the Israelis and the
Palestinians and all of these different prophecies, the birth
of the Holy Roman Empire, the feet of iron mingled with clay
in Daniel 2, and then that coming to an end in 1806 when
Napoleon defeated King Francis II, and then the rebirth of the
Holy Roman Empire in November of 2009 when those nations signed
the Lisbon Treaty, giving them basically a European
constitution and they had a–after that they had a
European president and a European foreign minister.
And so there’s no way Daniel or the apostles could have
understand–understood any of that.
All of that happened post the apostles.
They didn’t understand the writings of Daniel.
But he said the people of the time of the end, they will be
able to understand these things and there–and I will tell you
there are still some things that my father-in-law Irvin Baxter
and myself, who am praying every day about this stuff, that
we still do not understand about the book of Daniel.
There are a few things.
Most of it I think we got a pretty good grip on, but I’m
gonna be honest.
There are a few things that I still do not understand.
I’m asking God every day, “Lord, help me.”
But the thing is it–we may have to get to the very end here
because we’re right here in the time of the Great Tribulation in
this timing here in Daniel 12, and he said knowledge is going
to increase.
So knowledge has been increasing and the knowledge of the book of
Daniel has been increasing, but it may be right there at the
very end before we can understand some of these things.
And we may not understand it all until we get on the other side
and look back and say, “Okay, right here the Great Tribulation
lasted this long and then the battle of Armageddon lasted
this long.”
And that’s how we figure out the 1,260 days, the 1,290 days, and
the 1,335 days.
We might not–we might just have to have a conversation about
that during the millennial reign and off into eternity and then
we can say, “Now I understood what the end of Daniel chapter
12 meant.”
Honestly, that may be the answer.
I’m being totally transparent with you ’cause I’m not gonna
try to fabricate stuff.
I’m not gonna try to sensationalize stuff and make
up things.
I’m gonna tell–I’m gonna teach what we know and then the other
I can only speculate on until we live through some of
these things.
