Calvary vs. the Third Temple: Why Jesus — Not Rituals — Is the Path to Salvation

Dave Robbins: Many questions arise about the Third Temple and
salvation in these end times.
Do Jews need the red heifer ceremony, animal sacrifices, and
the rebuilding of the Third Temple to be saved?
Should Christians give financial support to these efforts, and
must Christians convert to Judaism to receive salvation?
We’ll address these and many more questions on this edition
of the “End Time Show.”

Dave: Good afternoon everybody.
I’m Dave Robbins with Endtime Ministries.
Thank you so much for joining me on this edition of the
“Endtime Show.”
You know, I am following the–what’s happening with
President Trump and President Zelinsky, the Ukrainian
president, and all the other European leaders that are
meeting in Washington right now trying to get something done,
a resolution to this war that’s going on between Russia
and Ukraine.
And they’re looking for security concerns and some agreements and
different things and to maybe get something done about
the war.
I mean, President Trump is wanting to do a trilateral
meeting between President Zelinsky, President Putin, and
himself, if need be, and to try to get something done and with
NATO, potentially, to try to get an end to this war.
President Trump really doesn’t want a ceasefire.
He wants an end to the war.
And so I’m watching all that.
I just watched the meeting with all of the seven European
leaders and NATO and President Trump there and they don’t have
any resolutions yet.
They haven’t come to any kind of agreement.
They’re gonna–of course, they can’t do anything without
President Putin of Russia, right?
But we’re watching all that.
It’s in the news right now.
It’s hot and heavy in the headlines and so we’re watching
that and I’ve got an eye on that.
Of course, me and Doug Norvell and Vince and all of us.
And we’ll keep you up to date on what’s going on there and how
that ties into Bible prophecy.
But I wanna get into a very special segment here today
because as we look around at the unfolding events of these end
times, one of the most pressing topics of discussion is the role
of the prophesied Third Temple and the path to salvation.
I’m dealing with this right now with many people.
Some ask, well, must the Jews, must the Jewish people perform
the red heifer ceremony, restore animal sacrifices, and see the
Third Temple rebuilt in order to obtain salvation?
Others wonder, should Christians actively support these efforts,
perhaps even with their finances or is salvation found elsewhere?
And what about conversion?
Must, and this is a–there’s a huge uptick in this right now if
you follow this stuff.
Must Christians embrace Judaism or convert to Judaism, which
many are doing today, to share in God’s promises and be saved?
Are we still under the law?
Well, these are profound questions with
eternal significance.
And on today’s program, we’re gonna turn to the Scriptures for
clarity, uncovering what God’s Word truly says about the temple
salvation, the plan of redemption for both Jews and
Gentiles, and of course, more specifically Christians.
You know, everyone, when we talk about these topics, I have a lot
of people ask me all the time, you know, are you giving money
to the building of the Third Temple and to this, the red
heifer ceremony and things like that.
And I’ve had people talk to me about converting to Judaism.
Now I’m not gonna do that, but and we’ll talk about why here in
a minute.
But, you know, I wanna just kind of settle some of these things
today because I’m getting, I’m having conversations about this
with a number of people.
So here’s the truth.
Let’s go to the Bible.
The Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, it’s
the–they’re the birth, the life ministry, and the death of
Jesus Christ.
And it’s written from four different perspectives.
Obviously Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Most would agree that all the miracles, the teachings, and the
supernatural events that Jesus performed, nothing compares to
his crucifixion.
Everything is centered on that.
The crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection and of course,
the events that surrounded that.
It is the very reason that Jesus came to the earth.
Jesus came to die.
None of what he did would have meant anything if he had
not died.
Of course, people would have been healed and things like
that, but a spotless human being, one who had never sinned
had to die.
That was Jesus Christ, God manifest in a fleshly form.
Without that one event, consider this, no human could be saved.
The Crucifixion is the restoration of sonship that was
lost when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden.
Originally, Adam and Eve were sons of God.
According to Luke chapter 3, verse 8, it says, “Which was the
son of Adam, which was the Son of God.”
However, once they sinned, once Adam and Eve sinned, there were
no more human sons of God mentioned in the Old Testament,
and Jesus came to restore sonship to the human race.
That’s what he came.
It’s called the–they were reconciled with the Lord.
God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself.
How did he do that?
When Adam and Eve sinned, the human race came under the law of
sin and death.
Ezekiel 18:4, “The soul that sins, it’s got to die.”
Romans chapter 5, verse 12 says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin
entered into the world and death by sin, and so death passed upon
all men for that all have sinned.”
So all of us owed the penalty of sin which is death.
The soul that sins, it’s got to die.
As a result of Adam and Eve’s sinning, blood had to be shed
for the atonement for sin.
The first thing God did when Adam and Eve sinned was to kill
an animal, to clothe them and cover their nakedness.
And since that time, blood has always been involved in the
progressive plans of salvation, the stopgap measures until a
spotless human being who had never sinned could come and die.
However, blood was instituted, the shedding of blood was
instituted in these plans of salvation from the very
beginning, but animal sacrifices were not sufficient.
Hebrews chapter 10, verse 4, “For it is not possible that the
blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.”
And therefore, everyone’s sins in the Old Testament–I wanna
pause right here ’cause this is very, very important to my
topic today.
I wanna read Hebrews 10:4 again, “For it is not possible that the
blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.”
Therefore, everyone’s sins in the Old Testament were rolled
forward to Calvary.
They had to do the sacrifices once a year, the priest would go
in and administer and people when they got–the temples were
built, they would bring their sacrifices and but their sins
were rolled forward to Calvary because the blood of bulls and
goats was not sufficient, right?
God–and this goes to the red heifer and the sacrificial
animals that will be sacrificed in the near future once they
build the Third Temple.
The Jews will do that, but that’s because in their mind,
they’re still under the law and they need to do that to atone
for sins and for the plan of salvation.
However, according to Scripture, they don’t need to do that.
The Bible says there will be a Third Temple rebuilt.
They will resume sacrifices because in Daniel chapter 11,
it says that the anti-Christ will cause the sacrifices
to stop.
But the thing is, it’s those that are living under the law,
they are going to do that, but they don’t need to do it if they
understood what Jesus Christ did on Calvary, they would realize
we don’t need a Third Temple, we don’t need to resume sacrifices,
and we don’t really even need a red heifer ceremony.
Now again, those that are living under the law, they’re going to
do that, but they don’t need to do it, especially once they
understand what Jesus Christ did on Calvary.
This is very important because a lot of people are because we
teach prophecy and we’re talking about the red heifer and the
resumption of sacrifices in the Third Temple all the time
because it’s very prophetic, then some people have said,
well, maybe, maybe Dave Robbins or Doug Norvell or somebody is,
you know, maybe they’re buying into all this.
No, no.
I want you to understand our position very clearly is that I
look back to my plan of salvation, which is gonna get me
to heaven to what Jesus Christ did on Calvary, the death, the
burial, and resurrection.
1 Corinthians 15:1 through 4, the good news that Jesus Christ
died, was buried, and he rose again.
We look back to Calvary.
And if every Jew who was living under the law today in their
mind, if they understood what Jesus Christ did on Calvary,
they would realize we don’t need a Third Temple.
However, many of them are living under the law in their mindset
and they are going to build a third temple.
The Bible says they’re going to, it’s gonna happen,
it’s prophesied.
But I want you to understand a Christian’s perspective on all
of this because we need to help them understand, right?
And there are major church organizations today.
I’ve got an article here of why a major Catholic church or a
major church organization does not seek to convert Jews because
they think they’re already saved, okay.
God knew that a sinless–you say, “How does all this work?”
Well, in the Old Testament, when they did the sacrifices, their
sins in the Old Testament, their sins were rolled forward
to Calvary.
Remember that?
But Calvary’s the center of it all.
God knew that a sinless human being, the soul that sins,
it’s got to die.
So if–and that’s the contract that was entered into.
But if a human being who had never sinned came and was put to
death, God knew that that would break the law, it would make
that law invalid or void, and that would be, that would change
it all for anybody who would obey the plan of salvation that
was purchased as a result of that.
So God knew that a sinless human being would have to die so that
we could break the law of sin and death that hung over the
entire human race.
And that is why Almighty God devised a plan to robe himself
in flesh.
God’s a Spirit.
To robe himself in flesh and die on the cross and that way he
purchased a plan of salvation for all of us.
Dave: Many people argue America is not mentioned in the
prophecies of the Bible.
But they will miss so much about the coming events that will
happen in the end time if they don’t get that understanding.
What do these beasts symbolize?
That’s what we need to answer because if we can’t understand
what these beasts symbolize, there’s no point even studying
this, right?
If you don’t believe that America is mentioned in the
Bible, you’re gonna be stuck when it comes to figuring out
all these prophecies.
But once you understand this, America has a prophesied future.
It’s given to us in the Bible and the America will not be part
of the world government, but we’re gonna be protecting Israel
against the world government all the way to the Second Coming of
Jesus Christ.

Dave: Isaiah chapter 59:16 says, “And he saw that there was no
man,” Almighty God.
He saw that there was no man who had never sinned.
All of them were born in sin, shaped in iniquity.
And the Bible says, “God wondered that there was no
intercessor, therefore his arm brought salvation unto him and
his righteousness, it sustained him.”
So Jesus knew that he would have to come and die because all men
are born in sin.
And that is why the cross is so special to every Christian.
Every true Christian looks back to that cross.
There’s no plan of salvation without the cross today.
The God of all creation was born of a virgin, lived a fully human
life, and then died a horrific death just to purchase the New
Testament plan of salvation called being born again.
It’s for Jew and Gentile today.
And in doing this, he made it possible for us to become sons
of God.
We’ve been reconciled together to him, we’re back in that
relationship that Adam and Eve originally had, and now we are
sons of God.
The Bible says that the Lord came to bring sons into glory.
And so now we become sons of God just like Adam and Eve
were originally.
Romans chapter 5, verse 19 says, “For as by one man’s
disobedience, many were made sinners so by the obedience of
one shall many be made righteous.”
Sin entered the world by the first Adam, and the second Adam,
Jesus Christ, made it possible for us to live a sinless life in
the eyes of God.
And so you must understand that we’re not under the law anymore.
Jews are not under the law.
God looks to the plan of salvation that he purchased
on Calvary.
And that’s why Jesus told Nicodemus, a religious Jew,
a Pharisee, “Nicodemus, unless you’re born again, you can’t
enter or see the kingdom of God.”
Verse 7 and John 3:7, “Marvel not that I say unto you,
Nicodemus, you must be born again.”
Even though Jesus, who was a Jew, knew Nicodemus was a Jew.
And a Pharisee and a religious ruler, he said, unless you’re
born again, you can’t enter or see the kingdom of God.
Jesus knew what the Old Testament plan of salvation was.
While he was here, the second temple still stood, didn’t it?
But he was transitioning us from the law to grace.
The law was a schoolmaster bringing us to Christ and
Jesus Christ fulfilled the law.
But once Jesus Christ, once the plan of salvation is given in
Acts chapter 2, then people are supposed to participate in that
born again plan of salvation given in Acts 2.
Now, all of humanity looks back to now, today.
All of humanity looks back to Calvary for salvation and the
forgiveness of sins and without the shedding of a physical
sacrifice because Jesus was the perfect sacrifice.
Again, in the Old Testament, the sacrifices were stopgap measures
until a perfect spotless human being could die.
So all of their sins, all of those sacrifices and everything
they did, their sins were rolled forward to Calvary and now we
look back to Calvary.
I’m not looking for a future, even though these things are
going to happen, the Bible says they are because there’s still
some in their mind that are living under the law.
The Bible says there will be sacrifices resumed.
The anti-Christ is gonna stop those.
There is gonna be a Third Temple rebuilt.
But I’m not–I’m looking at that as a prophesied event kind on
the timeline, but I’m not looking for that as any type of
plan of salvation and no Christian should.
We look back to Calvary.
What Jesus Christ did on Calvary was everything to a Christian.
And all of this was made possible by that one event,
the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
And so it’s very, very important that we understand our mindset,
a Christian’s mindset when–it’s gonna be very dramatic when we
see that Third Temple, when they start laying the cornerstones
and we can come on the radio and TV and then our “Endtime
Magazine” and say, hey, they’re building the Third Temple and
everybody’s gonna go, ooh, ah.
It’s gonna be, you know, it’s gonna be awesome.
And because I know where we’re at on the timeline at
that point.
But I’m never going to look at that and say, well, you know,
maybe I ought to consider taking an animal over there to
be sacrificed.
Never gonna happen with me.
And I’m never gonna look to a building or anything like that.
The Bible says God no longer dwells in temples made
with hands.
I’m not looking–I don’t need a physical building.
I can be saved right here in Dallas, Texas, or in Indiana or
Florida or somewhere in Russia or Africa or South America.
You can be saved anywhere in the world.
If you never see the Third Temple, you can still be saved.
If you never participate in some kind of an animal sacrifice, you
can still be saved.
You don’t need an animal sacrifice and we don’t need
a third temple.
And this is scriptural.
You say, “Well, yeah, again, what about the red heifer
ceremony and the animal sacrifice in the Third Temple?”
The Bible does prophesy those things will happen.
Aren’t they needed for salvation for the Jews?
The answer is no.
Jesus told again, Jesus told Nicodemus, “Except a man’s born
again, you can’t enter or see the kingdom of God.”
Jesus knew that he was a Jew, and this is the plan of
salvation purchased by Jesus at Calvary and it is the born again
plan of salvation.
And of course, you can read all about that by going to
endtime.com/reborn, endtime.com/reborn.
And in that document you will not find any kind of an animal
sacrifice, in that document you will not have to make a trip to
the temple and or a synagogue or anything like that and you’ll
find out what it takes to be saved.
Again, endtime.com/reborn.
You know, everybody, let me mention this, you know, right
now Endtime Ministries, we’ve talked about it, but Endtime
Ministries has a–we’ve got this a great opportunity, right?
And to impact the future of our ministry, our outreach, and our
teaching and our mission to prepare the world for the return
of Jesus Christ, we’ve got six critical needs right now.
Each one’s connected to our calling, restoring some damaged
places here in the ministry where we had a sprinkler pipe
bust, launching the understanding of Daniel’s series
in the book.
I’ve already started on that.
And we’re moving right along on that project.
I’m hoping to have it completed by the end of the year.
Cross your fingers, I mean, that’d be awesome but it’s a lot
with all my other responsibilities, but we’re
gonna give it a shot.
Producing, you know, powerful new prophecy content all the
time, reaching the people of Israel, expanding OnlySource.
I mean, there’s many more.
And what makes this moment extraordinary, we’ve talked
about it, we’ve been talking about it and it’s been, it’s
helped greatly, is that two generous partners have pledged
to match every donation up to $110,000.
And that means even still today your gift is doubled.
You have $100, they’ll match it and it turns into $200, $500
turns into $1000 and on and on.
So, you know, with all of us working together, we can meet
these urgent needs, but only if we act now.
And I saw, we pray for our partners and our, you know,
we’ll just bring up a random list of partners every morning
here at Endtime and prayer request.
And I saw my wife and my name come up on the list the other
day and I’m like, wow, this is awesome.
I’m happy to see this and of course, I know how much we
partner with Endtime, but it was pretty cool to see my name come
up on our partner list.
And I’m here at the ministry 24/7 it seems like, but I still
know what this ministry is all about.
And I love it and we participate in this financially.
And so I’m very thankful for that that we are–it was cool
just to see my own name come up here and of course, Doug Norvell
and his wife Tina and a lot of people that work here at Endtime
are partners of the ministry because we actually believe in
this thing, right?
And we’ve saw, I don’t know how many thousands and thousands of
tens of thousands of people be born again as a result of this
ministry over the years, and only eternity will tell how many
were born again before this thing wraps up, right?
And, you know, this isn’t just about physical projects, it’s
really, for us it’s about people.
I mean, the young person seeking searching online for truth, man.
I mean there’s people getting cut off YouTube and just all
kinds of conservative voices now.
And there’s just censoring, censoring, censoring, and but
we’ve got ways to get it out there OnlySource network on
a lot of different things and, you know, that Jewish family in
Israel that’s hearing the gospel for the first time and other
people around the world we’ve got people all over the world
that follow us, the believer that’s longing to understand
prophecy in a world full of confusion.
Imagine the people that are out there searching right now,
should I participate in a physical sacrifice in the future
of the Third Temple to be saved?
Should I convert to Judaism?
I mean, should I send a lot of money to help them build their
Third Temple?
You know, what do I do?
I mean, think about this lesson I’m teaching today.
And, you know, right now your gift directly helps us reach all
these people.
That’s what we’re doing.
We’re really in this for people.
We’re not getting rich on this stuff, that’s not our goal.
And so whether you feel led to support one of these projects
or all of them and it’s again, it’s really about meeting
and helping people.
Your generosity makes an eternal difference.
And so to help, go to Endtime no S, go to endtime
E-N-D-T-I-M-E.com/2X,
2X and help us out with this project and we’ll
certainly appreciate it.
And I know many of you have been very faithful to already do it,
but it’s still going on.
So we’re certainly very appreciative of that.
Okay, so this lesson, let’s see how much we can get done here
before the end of the program today.
You know, when we’re talking about these offerings, there has
to be an offering for sin.
All of us have sinned, so what do we do?
Well, in the Old Testament, obviously physical blood had
to be shed.
Well, in the New Testament, physical blood had to be shed
as well, but Jesus Christ did that on Calvary.
In Hebrews chapter 10, verse 14, it says, “For by one offering he
hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.”
In other words, not by the continual offerings that they
gave until Jesus comes a second time, doesn’t say that.
It’s for by one offering because Jesus Christ had never sinned.
He never committed one sin ever.
And he was not born with a sinful nature because the Bible
says the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary.
God overshadowed Mary and she conceived.
And that which was born in her was of the Holy Ghost.
So Jesus did not–was not born with a sinful nature.
Now think about that.
And so yet he was put to death.
He tricked Satan into putting him to death.
The Bible says, if the princes of this world would have known
who he really was, that he was really God manifest in a fleshly
form, they never would have crucified the Lord of glory.
But when Satan put Jesus to death, man, that was
the greatest.
He thought he was winning a victory, but that was actually
the greatest defeat of Satan and the greatest victory that was
ever won.
And that was when Jesus Christ was crucified on Calvary,
purchasing our plan of salvation for the entire human race.
Hebrews 10:10 tells us that we are sanctified through the
offering of the body of Jesus Christ, and it says,
once and for all.
And so from this Scripture, we know that we are sanctified,
not by what we do.
I don’t have enough education, I don’t have enough money to buy
my way into this thing.
You know, it’s not my pedigree, it’s not my nationality,
Jew or Gentile.
It’s by what Jesus did for us on Calvary.
That’s the entire point right there.
Everything centers around Almighty God coming and dying
for us on Calvary.
And so with these sacrifices that are coming up in the
future, I’m not gonna give any money to that.
I won’t give any money to the building of the Third Temple
because we don’t need that.
But boy, will I share the gospel around the world?
I’ll put all kinds of my money into that effort, right?
