Born Again or Left Behind: The Urgent Truth About His Soon Return

Dave Robbins: Very soon, just as the lightning flashes from the
east to the west, the skies will open and Jesus will return.
There’s gonna be no middle ground at that time.
You’ll either be a wheat or a tare.
You’ll be a sheep or a goat.
You’re either gonna be a saint or you’re gonna be a sinner.
Jesus said, “Be ye also ready, for in such an hour as you think
not, the Son of Man cometh.”
On this edition of “The Endtime Show,” we’re going to explain
his soon return.
The question is, are you ready?
♪♪♪
Dave: Good afternoon, everybody.
I’m Dave Robbins with Endtime Ministries, and I do thank you
for joining me on this edition of “The Endtime Show” and I’ve
been tracking the news all day.
And I’ve been watching the, you know, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s
visit to Washington and the results of that and what’s going
on in the Middle East and central bank digital currencies
and the global economic sanctioning system and world
religion and just things going on here in the United States and
all the different geopolitical situations around the world to
see how all of this prophecy is coming to pass.
But every once in a while, we want to make sure that we focus
everybody back on the most important thing.
And that is Jesus Christ is coming back before very long.
The prophecies tell us that.
And are you ready to meet him?
So I thought, you know what, I probably ought to do a program
today just to make sure that everybody’s focused on the goal.
You know, the entire message of the Bible, it really revolves
around two defining events in human history: The First Coming
of Jesus Christ and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
At his First Coming, Jesus came with a mission, and that’s to
purchase a plan of salvation.
And through his death, burial, and resurrection at Calvary, he
made a way for every person to spend eternity with him as an
immortal being.
The Bible calls this experience to be born again, this
salvation experience.
Now, if you’d like a clear step-by-step explanation on what
it truly means to be born again, you can go
to ENDTIME.COM/REBORN.
And that way, you know, you can read everything.
It’ll give you all the scriptures.
It’ll go into great detail on what really happened at Calvary
and how you can apply that to your life today, preparing you
to be ready for the soon return of Jesus Christ.
ENDTIME.COM/REBORN.
Now, in John 3:3, Jesus spoke plainly to Nicodemus, and he
said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Nicodemus, except a
man’s born again, he cannot enter or see the kingdom
of God.”
So in other words, being born again, it’s not optional.
And, you know, whether somebody says, “Well, I don’t believe in
God, or maybe I do, maybe I don’t, or, you know, I, it–”
listen to me, everybody.
Being born again is absolutely essential to make it into
heaven, period.
There’s no ifs, ands, or buts about that.
But the story doesn’t end at the First Coming of Jesus Christ.
At his Second Coming, which is just ahead of us now, Jesus will
return again, and this time he’s going to gather those who have
been born again.
There’s not–you say, “Well, Dave, maybe there’s another plan
of salvation out there somewhere, maybe we don’t know.”
Listen to me, everybody.
I’m telling you, there is no other plan of salvation.
You have to be born again.
This is the words of Jesus, and so that’s what we’re gonna
go with.
And so when Jesus comes back, he’s gonna gather those who have
been born again, those are the ones who are in the bride of
Christ, those are the ones who are part of the church.
And he is going to bring judgment upon those who have
rejected his plan of salvation.
Now, most people accept that Jesus came to earth 2000
years ago.
That’s a historical fact.
And, of course, many are familiar with the events of his
life, death, burial, the teachings, and the resurrection.
However, after ministering here at Endtime Ministries for almost
a quarter of a century now, I have discovered that when it
comes to the Second Coming, there’s a lot of confusion.
And, you know, opinions vary widely about how, when, and even
some, whether, the Second Coming will even happen at all.
And yet the Second Coming is prophesied all throughout
Scripture, even in the Old Testament.
And the good news is this: the Bible doesn’t leave us with a
lot of gray area on some of these things.
We’re not guessing.
Maybe it will, maybe he won’t come back.
No, he’s coming back, and it gives us clear answers and
detailed understanding of what lies ahead.
And that’s what we’re going to talk about today.
I’m gonna go down through here and, by the time I’m done,
you’re going to know, if you believe in the Bible at all,
you’re gonna know that he’s coming back before very long and
I’ve got to make myself ready, you’ve got to make
yourself ready.
Second Coming, here we go, because there’s nothing more
important than I could talk to you about today than the soon
return of Jesus Christ and you being prepared for that.
So, but there are some people on earth that actually question
whether it’s even going to happen at all.
And man, we don’t, the–Peter actually prophesied that there
would be mockers, people that would mock this and say, “Oh,
yeah, right, I’ve heard about the Second Coming since I’ve
been born or since the beginning of time, and it hasn’t happened
yet, so I’m not really worried about it.”
Man, I wouldn’t get in that position.
That’s dangerous.
So, the angels prophesied about the Lord’s soon return.
You remember back in Acts chapter 1 when, you know, you
would find one of the most powerful moments in all
of Scripture?
Jesus had already been crucified, buried, and for three
days and nights, he was in the grave, and he had already risen
from the dead.
Over the next 40 days, he appeared to many people, at one
point, 500 at one time.
And he proved beyond any shadow of a doubt that he was alive, he
had been resurrected from the dead.
And again, he appeared to more than 500 people.
It was undeniable.
And there–no question at all, the resurrection was real.
And after those 40 days, Jesus led his disciples out to the
Mount of Olives, and for his final instructions, and I’ve
stood on the Mount of Olives many times and I’ve thought,
“Man, I wonder where that happened at.
I wish–” I mean, I don’t know, maybe I’ve walked over the spot
that he did.
I don’t know.
But he takes the disciples out to the Mount of Olives.
You can see, there’s the Temple Mount, you can stand on it.
There’s the giant Kidron Valley, and then right on the other side
is the Mount of Olives, where he left from and where he’s coming
back to.
And so he takes the disciples out there for his
final instructions.
Think about this.
This is what he’s gonna tell them before he ascends
into heaven.
And he told them, he said, “Don’t you guys scatter at all.
Don’t go home.
Don’t go out on any missionary journeys.
You’re not gonna go preach anywhere.
I want you to go and tarry in Jerusalem.”
Now, they’re about probably, I don’t know, maybe a mile, maybe
not even–maybe about a mile into where the upper room was.
This is where they all went.
So he said, “You guys go in Jerusalem and you wait until
you’re–you are endued with power from on high.
You’re gonna need this power.”
Many of them were up from Galilee.
It’s about, I don’t know, 90 or 100 miles north of there, up by
the Sea of Galilee.
And would–it would have been easier for them to just say,
“Look, Jesus left, man.
We’re going home.”
But Jesus had something specific in mind for them.
Now remember, these are the last words that he’s gonna speak to
them before he goes into heaven.
So what he wants to do is he realizes while he was here on
earth, he–the Bible says he gave them power to heal the
sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, and–but now
he’s leaving.
Well, now what?
Well, now he’s going to empower them.
He’s gonna give them the power of the Holy Ghost.
He is going to come and live inside of them.
And he’s gonna give them power.
In Acts chapter 1, verse 8 Jesus said, “But ye shall
receive power.
After that, the Holy Ghost has come upon you, and you shall be
witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and
unto the uttermost parts of the earth.”
And they were–he knew that they were going to need
supernatural power to fulfill his commission.
And that power came only through the Holy Ghost.
And then after speaking his words, Jesus lifts his hands, he
blessed them, and he suddenly ascends into heaven.
And they’re like, the Bible says the disciple just stood there,
staring into the sky.
And they were watching until he disappeared out of sight.
The clouds consumed him.
And the Bible says while they were standing gazing upward, two
men in white apparel, the angels, stood beside them and
they delivered a promise that still echoes to this day.
This would be Acts chapter 1, verse 11.
They said, “Ye men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up
into heaven?
This same Jesus, which you– which is taken up from you into
heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go
into heaven.”
He’s gonna come again.
This is–the angels are prophesying.
This is the heaven’s declaration that Jesus is coming back.
Now, there are so many other prophecies, and we’re gonna go
through a lot of them.
But Jesus, folks, listen to me.
Jesus is coming back before very long.
The–this is why the timelines and everything is so important.
It shows you that we’re bumping up against the soon return of
Jesus Christ.
Now I’m talking about his physical return.
He can come for any one of us today.
And Jesus said, “Be ye also ready, for in such an hour as
you think not, your Lord will come.”
And so, all of us are old enough to know that none of us are
promised even tomorrow morning.
The Lord could–I’ve seen the Lord come for people like a
pastor’s wife and–or a pastor, or a loved one, and I’ve
thought, “God, why did you take them?”
I ask a million questions.
I’m still asking some questions.
But God’s ways are sovereign.
And he–the Lord doesn’t view death like we do.
And so, the Lord could come for any one of us at any time.
So I wanna make sure that I’m ready to go now and–because
some people would say, “Oh, you know, the Lord’s–the Endtime
Ministries teaches it’s gonna be a few years yet before the Lord
returns and the Rapture happens.
So I could just sit back in a lawn chair with a glass of tea
and I’m just gonna watch the show.”
No, you better not get like that.
This is not time to become complacent.
Man, this is the time to pour on the coal.
I gotta be ready to go.
I gotta be ready to meet the Lord, and I–we’ve got a world
to win.
Jesus gave these guys a Great Commission.
The same commission he gave them, he’s given to us.
“Go ye therefore into the whole world and make disciples,
baptizing them in the name of Jesus or the name of the Father,
Son, Holy Ghost,” is what it says in Matthew 20:19.
And then they went and done that, “Teaching them to observe
everything that I’ve taught you.”
And so, the disciples, they had no way of knowing that it’s
going to be 2000 years before the promise would be fulfilled,
but still, they had to be ready during their era, didn’t they?
And even through the–though the centuries have passed, it
still hasn’t happened.
The promise has not weakened.
This is a promise from God.
I’m coming back, everybody, make sure you’re ready to go.
And the Word of God is firm: Jesus will return.
The angels declared it.
The scriptures confirm it, and the Second Coming is just as
certain as the First Coming.

Dave: The Second Coming of Jesus is not going to look anything
like the First Coming.
If somebody says, “Oh, I saw the Messiah, he’s in Europe,” nope,
not–it’s not how he’s gonna come.
Somebody says, “Well, I–no, they’re saying in, you know, in
“Al Jazeera” that the Messiah is in Saudi Arabia.”
Nope, that’s not how he’s gonna come.
He is not going to come like that, folks.
The first time Jesus came, he arrived quietly.
He was born as a baby in Bethlehem, laid in a manger.
You guys know the story.
He entered this world in humility.
He came to die is what he did.
He came to purchase a plan of salvation, and he knew that he
would have to die, a sinless human being to purchase our plan
of salvation, to break the law of sin and death.
But when he comes again, it’s gonna be completely different.
Jesus knew that as the time–at the time of his return
approached, that there would be many false claims.
People would rise up saying, “Well, hey, I’m the Messiah,”
and “Christ has returned,” or, you know, “I’m the Mahdi,” or–
no, throughout history, we’ve seen exactly that.
Many people have claimed–Sun Myung Moon, many people have
claimed to be the Messiah.
And religious leaders have repeatedly claimed to be the
fulfillment of this prophecy.
You say, “Well, man, Dave, how do we avoid being deceived?”
The Word of God, right?
This is why one of the things that I see in my travels and in
study and in teaching out and even here at the ministry, is I
see a lack of the knowledge of Word–of the Word of God.
And I’m like, “Man, we’ve got a giant job to do,” because, you
know, people are so wrapped up in football and I don’t–I’m
not saying there’s anything wrong with football or, you
know, going on camping trips or all this other stuff.
And there’s nothing wrong with any of that at all.
Don’t misunderstand what I’m saying.
But if you devote your life to something and you don’t
understand the Word of God and you don’t–you’re not ready for
the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, folks, you missed the
whole ride.
I’m just–let’s just be honest here.
You missed the whole reason for this.
So, how do we avoid being deceived?
Because many people have followed after these false
Messiahs over time, or worshiped something else.
But Jesus gave us very clear instructions, didn’t he?
Remember back in Matthew 24, the Olivet Discourse in verse 20,
let’s see here, about 23 through 26, Jesus said, “Then if any man
shall say unto you, ‘Hey, lo, he’s here,'” Christ is over
here, or he’s there, he’s behind that tree.
We saw his face in a cloud.
The Messiah is over here, you know, amongst these people, or,
you know, Jesus said don’t believe it and don’t go there,
“For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and
they shall show great signs and wonders insomuch that if it were
possible, they would deceive the very elect.
Wherefore, if they shall say unto you, ‘Behold, he’s in
the desert,’ don’t go,” Jesus said.
If he’s in the secret chamber over here, a lot of people like
to make a mystery out of everything.
Oh, this, you know, he’s behind–he’s being hidden until
the right time, and then he’s gonna be revealed.
That’s not how the Messiah is coming.
Jesus said, “Believe it not.”
Well, why such strong warnings?
Because the real Second Coming will not be secret.
It’s not going to happen in some hidden location.
It’s not gonna be something that only a select group knows about.
It’s not how it’s gonna work.
If you go down to Matthew 24, verse 27, remember, it makes it
unmistakably clear here, guys.
“For–” it says, “For as the lightning cometh out of the east
and shineth unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son
of Man be.”
So in other words, when Jesus returns, it’s gonna be visible,
it’s gonna be dramatic, it’s gonna be undeniable.
There are, you know, religious traditions today that say–that
speak of like a coming Messianic figure.
The main one would be like Iran.
They refer to the Mahdi or the 12th Imam.
But Jesus told us plainly, don’t go follow claims like that: He’s
over here, he’s over there.
It’s not how it’s gonna work.
When the true Messiah returns, there’s going to be no confusion
at all, whether people believe in God or not.
He’s coming.
And he’s gonna come in the clouds of heaven.
It will be like the lightning flashing from the east to the
west, and scripture tells us, this will be Revelation 1:7:
“Every eye will behold him.”
You’re not gonna be able to miss it at all, nobody.
The Second Coming, it’s not gonna be quiet.
It’s not gonna be hidden.
It’s not gonna be–it’s not symbolic, even.
It is a physical event.
It’s gonna be global, it’s gonna be supernatural, and it’s gonna
be unmistakable.
And I’ve got to be, you’ve got to be, ready for that event.
“How do you do that, Dave?”
You’re gonna be born again.
Jesus came to purchase this plan of salvation.
Again, the born again experience ENDTIME.COM/REBORN.
Now, the Rapture and the last trump are the same event.
It happens at the same time, you understand?
I mean, I get this question a lot because a lot of people say,
“Oh, no, no, you know, the Rapture, the last trump 7 years
from the–” Listen, the Rapture and the last trump, they happen
at the same time.
In Matthew 24:29-31, Jesus gives us a clear timeline of events
surrounding his Second Coming.
He said–this is so easy to understand.
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall
the sun be darkened, moon shall not give her light, stars will
fall from heaven.
The powers of heaven shall be shaken, and then shall appear
the sign of the coming of the Son of Man in heaven, and they
shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with
power and great glory, and he shall send his angels with the
sound–the great sound of a trumpet.
And they shall gather together his elect from the four winds
from one end of heaven to the other.”
My wife could wake me up in the middle of the night, punch me in
the stomach, and say, “Quote Matthew chapter 24:29-31,” and I
could quote it.
Now, if you know my wife, you know she’s never gonna do that,
but I’m just saying if it was to–if it was to ever take
place in the future, I could do it, because that’s the number
one post-Tribulation scripture in the Bible, in my opinion.
It’s as easy to see as two plus two, really.
Anyway, and that’s not really not my opinion, that’s biblical,
but we’ll move on from that.
At the Second Coming, every eye will see him, and at the sound
of a great trumpet, his angels are going to gather the elect.
Matthew 24:40, it kind of paints a striking picture.
It says: “Then two will be in the field.
One will be taken, the other left.”
Imagine working beside someone.
I’ve built many houses and worked out in construction for
years, or maybe now I work in an office setting.
Imagine working beside somebody, driving–now I don’t hope–
hopefully this won’t happen at end time, or you’re driving down
the road, you’re sitting in a room together, and suddenly
somebody starts to leave the ground and you’re like, “What’s
going on with me?
I’m still here.”
Now hopefully, both of you go.
That’s what we’re praying for.
That’s why we do this show.
But suddenly, the Bible says one’s gonna be gone.
And the point Jesus is making is simple: People will be living
their everyday lives, working, resting, carrying on as usual
when he returns.
Luke chapter 17, verse 34 echoes the same truth: “In that night
there shall,” you know, “two men will be in a bed,” and it’s not
talking about–some people say, “Oh, that’s homosexuals.”
No, come on, you guys know better than that.
It’s talking about–they’re using examples back then.
“Two men are gonna be in the bed, and one shall be taken, the
other shall be left.”
Maybe it was at a work camp or something, I don’t know.
People try to twist and turn God’s Word all over the place.
But you guys know what it’s saying.
And so for those who are ready, it’s gonna be a glorious moment,
but for those who ignored the message of the gospel, it’s
gonna be terrifying.
