Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize over Iran-Israel ceasefire deal

President Donald Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize following his role in brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, effectively ending the “12 Day War.” Rep. Buddy Carter, R-Ga., submitted the nomination, calling Trump’s actions “extraordinary and historic.” He credited Trump with preventing Iran—the world’s top state sponsor of terrorism—from acquiring nuclear weapons and praised his leadership in achieving what many thought was impossible.
