Tensions Run Highest in Europe Since WWII

The political situation in Europe is its most tense since the end of World War II owing to Russia’s aggressive stance towards Ukraine, the Polish foreign minister said. Zbigniew Rau went to the Estonian capital to discuss the rising animosity between the Kremlin and the West. Russia has amassed more than 100,000 troops near its border with Ukraine and has demanded concessions from NATO, including assurances the bloc will not accept any new eastern members.
