Russian Missile Lands in Pro-NATO Moldova 

A Russian missile that targeted Ukraine landed in nearby Moldova in what has been called the first “spillover” of the Ukraine war into a nearby country. Damage to civilian infrastructure, power networks and water supplies were reported. Moldova, a former Soviet state, has close ties with Western countries and applied for EU membership status within days of the Kremlin launching its invasion of Ukraine in February.
