Admitting Covid Shot Benefits Fade, Fauci Pushes Boosters For Lowest-Risk Population: Kids

Dr. Anthony Fauci widened federal recommendations for Covid-19 booster shots and expanded recommended eligibility for boosters in a Monday National Institutes of Health meeting. On top of new variants developing from the most recent omicron variant, Fauci admitted the first booster wanes in its effectiveness over time.
“Growing evidence indicates that a second COVID-19 vaccine booster dose can restore vaccine effectiveness for certain populations, at least in short term,” Fauci said in one of his slides.
