The Rise of World Government: Why Prophecy Is Unfolding Before Our Eyes
The Endtime Timeline: What Scripture Says Is Already in Motion
By Dave Robbins, Endtime Ministries
DALLAS — The signs aren’t far-off. They’re here. A world government, a world religion and a global economic sanctioning system aren’t theoretical ideas on a distant horizon. They’re forming now. For those watching prophecy, the indicators are unmistakable.
At Endtime Ministries, our mission is simple: prepare believers—mentally, practically and spiritually—for what Scripture says is ahead, and do it without fear. As Dave Robbins reminds our audience, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.
Why this matters
Persecution is rising—especially against Christians and Jews. Scripture tells us those two groups will face the brunt of hostility during the Great Tribulation. We’re already seeing the trend lines. This isn’t cause for panic; it’s a call to preparation and faithfulness.
We teach a post-tribulation Rapture because the Bible teaches the Church will be present through these events. There aren’t two classes of believers—“Rapture saints” and “Tribulation saints.” The New Testament never makes that distinction. What Scripture does command is vigilance, endurance and hope.
Fear of the Lord vs. fear of the future
There’s a difference between reverence for God and anxiety about events. The first leads to wisdom; the second erodes faith. Trials stretch us, but they also shape us. Time and again, believers discover on the other side of hardship that the Lord used it for good. He equips before He sends—and He’s faithful.
The midpoint: a turning point
Prophecy points to a dramatic shift halfway through the final seven years:
-
War in heaven: Michael defeats Satan; satanic power is cast down to earth “with great wrath,” knowing his time is short.
-
Great Tribulation begins: the most intense persecution against Israel and true followers of Jesus.
-
The Antichrist revealed: “that man of sin” will exalt himself in a future temple, claiming to be God (2 Thessalonians 2:3–4). When that day comes, his identity will be clear.
From that point, the world government consolidates into the Antichrist’s kingdom—exercising authority over “all kindreds, tongues and nations” (Daniel 7; Revelation 13).
The colors behind the system
Revelation 6 and Zechariah 6 describe four horsemen/spirits symbolized by color. Taken together with Revelation 17, the prophetic picture shows an end-time world order marked in scarlet—socialistic/communistic in character. Look at today’s global institutions and you can already see the pull toward centralized control. Soft-sell promises—subsidies, state solutions, “we’ll take care of it”—often mask a deeper aim: compliance.
Believers should be discerning. Systems built on control will readily align with a leader who flatters and coerces (Daniel 11). Our allegiance belongs to Christ alone.
A rising world religion—and a false prophet
Revelation 13:11–12 describes a second beast that looks lamb-like but speaks like a dragon. His objective? Direct the world to worship the first beast. Expect a movement that downplays doctrine, prizes “tolerance” over truth and pressures churches to support global governance goals. That is not biblical unity. It’s deception.
Scripture instructs God’s people: “Come out of her, my people” (Revelation 18:4). There is a false church—and there is the true Church of Jesus Christ, anchored in the apostles’ doctrine. Doctrine isn’t optional or “divisive paperwork.” It’s how the Bible says we save ourselves and those who hear us.
A word to pastors and believers
In an age of watered-down preaching, we need pulpits ablaze with truth—spoken in love, free of fear or favor. Preach the Word straight. Call people to repentance, discipleship and endurance. Jesus didn’t promise ease; He sent us out as sheep among wolves. Yet He also promised His presence, peace and power.
What we’re called to do now
Jesus said the gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world, and then the end will come (Matthew 24:14). Our assignment in 2025 is not to panic—it’s to evangelize, equip and endure.
How to prepare:
-
Stay grounded in Scripture. Read it daily; measure everything by it.
-
Pray and listen. Let the Spirit lead your steps.
-
Refuse fear. Keep a sound mind rooted in God’s promises.
-
Hold fast to doctrine. Don’t trade truth for applause.
-
Stand with Israel and the Church. Expect pressure; choose faithfulness.
-
Share the gospel. Be salt and light—boldly and kindly.
The finish line is worth it
Prophecy isn’t given to frighten the Church; it’s given to ready the Church. Many prophecies have already been fulfilled. The remaining ones are coming into view. The promise stands: “He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.”
