The Great Global Power Grab: How Bible Prophecy Is Unfolding Before Our Eyes
The Great Global Power Grab: How Bible Prophecy Is Unfolding Before Our Eyes
By Dave Robbins | Endtime Ministries
Summary: From international treaties to culture-shaping institutions, the scaffolding of a final world order is rising in plain sight. Revelation 13 outlines a trio of end time powers—world government, world religion, and a global economic system—that converge to control conscience, commerce, and culture. Today’s headlines read like the table of contents.
A Clear-Eyed Look at the News
Prophecy is not theory—it is a lens. When we read the news through Scripture, stories that seem disconnected begin to form a single picture. Political leaders and religious elites are joining hands, not in worship of God, but in allegiance to man’s institutions. The language is soothing—peace, unity, sustainability—yet the trajectory is unmistakable. Peel back the layers, and you find a counterfeit kingdom marching toward what the Bible warned would one day arrive.
The Biblical Framework
Revelation 13:1–8 reveals a final world government led by the Antichrist and empowered by Satan. Revelation 13:11–15 introduces a companion leader—the false prophet—who unites religious authority under the umbrella of that system. And Revelation 13:16–18 warns of a global economic order so sweeping that “no one may buy or sell” without pledging allegiance to that system. Scripture also makes clear that not everyone will submit; a faithful remnant will refuse the mark of the beast and remain loyal to Jesus Christ.
How the Scaffolding Rises
The endtime system is not assembled overnight. It is built step by step—treaty by treaty, summit by summit. Most people don’t follow the details of those meetings, and that’s the point. Quietly, the architecture of a new order is being framed: political power, economic leverage, and spiritual influence aligning in a way that brands biblical loyalty as extremism while rewarding compliance with open arms.
The United Nations and the Promise of “Peace”
The United Nations was founded in 1945 with a charter promising peace, human rights, and security for all. Those aims sound noble, and many programs are presented as humanitarian. But the broader trend line is unmistakable: expanding international bureaucracy, soft law that becomes hard law, and a steady push for global governance that erodes national sovereignty. From climate to oceans, education to healthcare, economics to “sustainable development,” the sphere of control expands. The vocabulary is benevolent; the scope is total.
Public Health, Policy, and Power
Recent crises revealed how quickly unelected bodies can exercise sweeping authority over daily life. In the name of safety, mandates multiplied, and dissent was marginalized. The pattern is critical for believers to recognize: when fear rises, freedom shrinks—unless people of conviction and courage stand firm on biblical truth and the rule of law.
Disarmament and the End of Resistance
One plank in the global platform is disarmament. It is often framed as a response to violence, but history teaches a sober lesson: registration precedes restriction, and restriction paves the path to confiscation. Totalitarian regimes—from the 20th century to the present—have relied on a disarmed populace to consolidate power. The Second Amendment is not about sport; it is about safeguarding liberty. An armed, law-abiding citizenry cannot be easily ruled.
The Free Speech Front
Another plank is speech control—what many now call “content moderation,” “misinformation management,” or “harm reduction.” However labeled, the effect is the same: narrow the window of acceptable belief and place biblical conviction outside of it. In an endtime world religion, the creed is tolerance without truth. The gospel’s exclusive claim—salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone—will be painted as divisive. Yet Scripture is unambiguous (John 14:6). Our call is to speak the truth in love while we still can.
America’s Prophetic Role
Many dismiss the idea that the United States appears in Bible prophecy. We disagree. Once you identify the prophetic symbols correctly, America’s outline emerges—and with it, a mission. We believe the United States ultimately stands apart from the world government and becomes a protector of Israel all the way to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. That understanding shapes how we pray, vote, and live in this moment.
Pull Quote: “The endtime order is a counterfeit kingdom—political, economic and religious power converging to control conscience, commerce, and culture.”
What Believers Should Do Now
1) Strengthen your walk with God. Prophecy isn’t given to make us anxious—it is given to anchor us. Stay in the Word, pray daily, and remain in fellowship with the church.
2) Think biblically about headlines. Read world events through Revelation 13, Matthew 24, Daniel 7–9, and related passages. Prophecy clarifies what politics obscures.
3) Defend truth and liberty. Engage locally. Vote for leaders who protect life, religious freedom, Israel, and national sovereignty. Resist policies that condition access to everyday life on obedience to unaccountable authorities.
4) Prepare for pressure—and be a witness. As systems tighten, faithful believers will be labeled extreme. Stand firm, live peaceably, and share the hope of the gospel.
5) Support Israel and the Church. Scripture ties the end of the age to Israel’s story. Pray for Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and strengthen ministries preaching the truth.
Why This Matters
This is not speculation; it is Scripture written thousands of years ago, now aligning with the contours of our age. The prophets saw it. John recorded it. Our task is to recognize it—and respond with courage and clarity. The goal of the endtime system is control without accountability. The goal of the gospel is salvation and freedom in Christ. Only one kingdom endures.
