Are You Sure You’re Ready?
Very soon — just as lightning flashes from the east to the west — the skies will open.
Jesus Christ will return.
When that moment comes, there will be no middle ground. No neutral territory. Humanity will be divided as Scripture has always declared: wheat or tare, sheep or goat, saint or sinner.
Jesus gave the warning plainly: “Be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 24:44)
The question is not whether He is coming. The question is: Are you ready?
Two Moments That Define History
The entire message of the Bible revolves around two defining events — the First Coming and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
At His First Coming, Jesus came with a mission: to purchase our salvation. Through His death, burial, and resurrection at Calvary, He made a way for every person to spend eternity with Him. Scripture calls this being born again.
Jesus told Nicodemus:
“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)
Not optional. Essential.

But the story of Scripture does not end at the cross.
It points forward — to a return.
Confusion About His Return
Most people accept that Jesus came 2,000 years ago. His birth, crucifixion and resurrection are widely acknowledged historical events.
But when it comes to the Second Coming, confusion multiplies.
Some say it is symbolic.
Some say it is secret.
Some question whether it will happen at all.
Yet the Second Coming is prophesied throughout Scripture. And the Bible does not leave us guessing. It gives a clear, consistent, detailed picture of what lies ahead.
Heaven Declared It
In Acts chapter 1, Jesus had already risen from the dead. Over forty days, He appeared to many — including more than 500 at one time — proving the Resurrection was real.
Then He led His disciples to the Mount of Olives.
After instructing them to wait in Jerusalem for the promised power of the Holy Ghost, He ascended into heaven before their eyes.
As they stood gazing upward, two angels appeared with a message that still echoes today:
“This same Jesus… shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11)
Heaven made it clear.
Jesus is coming back.
Centuries have passed. Empires have risen and fallen. But the promise has not weakened.
The Word of God stands firm.
Not Secret. Not Hidden. Not Symbolic.
The Second Coming will look nothing like the First.
The first time, He came quietly — born in a manger, entering the world in humility.
When He comes again, it will be unmistakable.
Jesus warned that many would claim to be the Messiah:
“If any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.” (Matthew 24:23)
Why?
Because the true Second Coming will not be hidden in a desert or confined to secret chambers.
Jesus said:
“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:27)
Lightning does not whisper.
It splits the sky.
Scripture declares that every eye will see Him. His return will be global, supernatural and undeniable.
The Rapture at the Last Trump
Jesus outlined the sequence in Matthew 24:
After the tribulation — cosmic signs. The sun darkened. The moon turned to blood. The powers of heaven shaken.
Then:
“They shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
And at the sound of a great trumpet, angels gather His elect.
The Apostle Paul provided further detail:
“The Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16)
First, the dead in Christ rise.
Then believers who are alive are caught up to meet Him in the air.
Paul called it a mystery:
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump… we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:52)
Not merely disappearing — but transformed.
Mortal puts on immortality. Corruption puts on incorruption.
At the last trumpet:
Death loses.
The grave loses.
Jesus reigns victorious.
The Revealing of Jesus Christ
The book of Revelation is not merely a collection of symbols.
It is, as its opening line declares, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ.”
The word revelation means unveiling.
Pulling back the curtain.
Revelation shows Jesus not as suffering servant — but as conquering King.
At the Sixth Seal, the sun turns black. The moon becomes as blood. The heavens recede like a scroll. Earth’s leaders hide in caves, crying for rocks to fall on them.
Why?
“For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:17)
At the Seventh Trumpet, a declaration rings out:
“The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” (Revelation 11:15)
Human government ends. Divine government begins.
The prayer “Thy kingdom come” is fulfilled.
Two Harvests. One Return.
Jesus explained it in Matthew 13.
Wheat and tares grow together until the harvest — the end of the age. Then comes separation.
The righteous gathered.
The wicked judged.
Revelation 14 mirrors the same moment: the Son of Man thrusts in His sickle. The saints are gathered. The rebellious are cast into the winepress of God’s wrath.
Two harvests.
Two destinies.
One return.
There is no third category.
The Marriage of the Lamb
Revelation 19 opens with heaven erupting in praise:
“Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.”
The marriage of the Lamb has come.
The church — His bride — has made herself ready.
When Jesus returns, He comes for His bride and to make war at Armageddon. The rapture and the Second Coming are not two separate events, but one glorious appearing.
He rides a white horse. His name is Faithful and True. King of Kings. Lord of Lords.
The Antichrist and False Prophet are cast into the lake of fire. Satan is bound. The faithful reign with Christ.
History reaches its climax.
There Will Be No Middle Ground
When the skies open, every person will fall into one of two categories:
Wheat or tare.
Sheep or goat.
Saint or sinner.
For some, He comes as Bridegroom.
For others, Scripture says He returns:
“In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel…” (2 Thessalonians 1:8)
At His First Coming, Jesus offered mercy.
At His Second Coming, He brings judgment and reward.
The opportunity to prepare is now.
The invitation is now.
He is coming.
The only question that truly matters is this:
Are you ready?
Be ye also ready.
