America Under Attack: The Battle to Remove God from Public Life

The Ancient War Against God, Nation, Family and Freedom

America Under Attack: The Battle to Remove God from Public LifeMost people can sense it.

Something is moving beneath the surface of our world. There is a force pushing society away from the Bible, away from national sovereignty, away from the family, and away from the freedoms God intended mankind to enjoy.

This is not merely politics. It is not simply culture changing with the times. Scripture reveals the deeper reality: there is a spiritual war underway.

Revelation 13 tells us that the dragon gives power, authority and influence to the beast — the prophesied end-time world-governing system. That dragon is Satan. He is the ancient adversary who has opposed God from the beginning, and he continues working to deceive nations, corrupt moral order and build a society where man replaces God and government becomes savior.

But we should not be afraid.

Hebrews 4:13 declares that nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Every secret meeting, every underhanded deal, every scheme against truth has been seen by the Lord. No secret society, global institution or earthly power has ever gotten anything past Him.

That truth should give believers confidence. We do not study these things to sensationalize them. We study them because Bible prophecy warned us they would come.

America’s Foundation Was Built on God-Given Rights

For generations, America stood on the conviction that rights come from God, not government. The Declaration of Independence declares that all people are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” The founders understood that liberty cannot survive without morality, and morality cannot survive without God.

Yet in our time, we have watched a coordinated campaign to drive God out of American life.

Prayer was removed from public schools. Bible reading was pushed out. Ten Commandments displays were challenged and removed. Crosses, nativity scenes and public acknowledgments of faith have faced legal attacks. Even the phrases “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance and “In God We Trust” on our currency have been targeted.

The message is clear: Keep God private. Keep Him out of schools, out of government, out of law, out of culture and out of the public square.

That is not neutrality. It is spiritual warfare dressed in legal language.

The Battle for the Next Generation

When God is removed from education, children are left without answers to life’s most important questions:

Where did I come from?

Why am I here?

Where am I going?

Only the Bible gives the true answer. We were created by Almighty God. We are here to know Him, walk with Him and live according to His Word. And through Jesus Christ, we have the promise of eternal life.

A secular worldview cannot provide those answers. It teaches children that truth is relative, that identity is self-created and that biblical morality is outdated. That is why believers must be alert. The enemy rejoices when a generation is raised without the knowledge of its Creator.

The Assault on Faith in Public Life

This campaign does not stop at schools.

Every Christmas, we see the effort to erase Christ from the season that bears His name. “Merry Christmas” is replaced with generic greetings. Christian symbols are sidelined while secular celebrations are elevated. The incarnation of Jesus Christ — the hope of the world — is pushed to the margins.

During the COVID-19 lockdowns, many government officials labeled churches “nonessential” while other establishments were allowed to remain open. Pastors were fined, churches were restricted, and worship gatherings were treated as a problem to be managed.

But Scripture says believers must not forsake assembling together, especially as we see the day approaching. The church is not optional. It is the body of Christ. A believer cut off from the body becomes vulnerable, just as a finger cut off from the hand cannot survive on its own.

We need more church, not less.

The Redefinition of God’s Created Order

We also see this rebellion in the aggressive promotion of ideologies that oppose biblical truth: abortion, the redefinition of marriage, gender confusion, and the targeting of Christians who seek to live according to their faith.

Christian bakers, photographers, adoption agencies and business owners have been dragged into court for refusing to violate their conscience. Hollywood, academia and legacy media often portray biblical Christianity as intolerant while presenting secular humanism as wisdom.

These are not random cultural shifts. They are part of a larger rebellion against God’s created order.

Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

The real enemy is not a political party, a judge, an activist or a media figure. The real enemy is Satan — the father of lies — who uses people and systems to oppose the truth of God.

A Global War Against God’s Design

This spiritual conflict is not limited to America.

From Lucifer’s rebellion to the Tower of Babel, from secret societies to Marxist bloodshed, from globalist agendas to modern efforts for centralized control, the same spirit has worked through history to build a world without God.

Today, that spirit marches under new banners: global governance, climate idolatry, digital control, borderless nations and international systems that seek to centralize authority over every area of life.

The Bible prophesies a final world-governing system. It will be empowered by the dragon and will oppose the people of God. That is why believers must understand the times. We are not living in an ordinary hour.

We are confronting the ancient satanic conspiracy against Almighty God, against the nations He established, against the family He ordained and against the freedom found only in Jesus Christ.

The Believer’s Response

The answer is not fear. It is faithfulness.

We do not respond with hatred toward people. We respond with truth, prayer, courage and unwavering commitment to the Word of God.

America’s greatness has always depended on the acknowledgment that our liberty comes from the Lord. A nation that rejects its Creator will eventually lose the moral restraint, virtue and freedom that made it strong.

So believers must shine the light.

We must defend religious liberty. We must proclaim the gospel without shame. We must pray. We must teach our children biblical truth. We must refuse to let the light be covered by darkness.

The battle is real.

But so is our God.

And Jesus Christ has already overcome the world.
