Missile strikes in Iraq did not affect any US facilities and there are no US casualties, two US officials tell Reuters, as Iran’s Revolutionary Guards takes credit for a strike near Iraq’s northern city of Erbil.

The US officials decline to further comment.

Explosions were heard in an area some 40 kilometers northeast of Erbil in the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region, local sources said, in an area near the US consulate as well as civilian residences.
