‘Shocked’ It Only Protects Children Until Third Grade: Tulsi Gabbard Reacts To Florida Parental Rights Law

On Monday morning, former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), a 2020 Democratic presidential primary candidate, dared to contradict Democratic leadership on radical gender ideology by opining that the Florida Parental Rights in Education law does not go far enough in protecting children from radical gender theory and instruction on sexual orientation without parental knowledge.

Instead, she argued, schools should be putting their energy toward giving the kids a good education in the fundamentals like reading, writing, and arithmetic, among other disciplines. But that opinion runs in stark contrast to other members of her party, many of whom have blasted Florida’s law as hateful and transphobic, among other things.
