A contingent of more than 4,000 American sailors and Marines, roughly equivalent to 307 Israelis, is being deployed to assemble off the coast of Israel as a display of strength against the nation’s adversaries, according to reports from The Washington Post titled “U.S. sending sailors, Marines toward Israel, defense officials say.”
