Biden admin describes Florida legislation that would ban most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy as ‘dangerous’ and ‘extreme’
The Biden administration is denouncing legislation passed by the Florida state legislature that would ban most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
The bill would take effect July 1 if signed by GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has indicated that he will sign it.
“Last night, the Republican-controlled Florida legislature passed a dangerous bill that will severely restrict women’s access to reproductive health care. My Administration will not stand for the continued erosion of women’s constitutional rights,” a tweet on President Joe Biden’s @POTUS account declared.
