Inside the Hunt for the Red Heifer: The Ceremony That Shocked Israel

A Texas Rancher, Five Red Heifers, and a Ceremony Stirring Prophetic Anticipation

by Dave Robbins, Endtime Ministries

Inside the Hunt for the Red Heifer: The Ceremony That Shocked IsraelWhen five flawless red heifers were quietly transported from a Texas ranch to the land of Israel, few could have imagined how quickly global attention—and prophetic interest—would begin to converge. Yet according to Texas rancher and author Byron Stinson, the journey of these rare animals has been nothing short of providential.

Stinson, whose book Hunt for the Red Heifer chronicles the astonishing series of events that brought these animals from Rockwall, Texas, to Shiloh, joined Endtime Ministries host Dave Robbins to shed light on what truly unfolded during the July 1 red heifer ceremony—and whether this moment signals the prophetic shift believers have anticipated for generations.

“Prophecy Coming to Life”

As Robbins opened the program, he framed the moment with unmistakable clarity:
A Texas rancher, five flawless red heifers, and a prophecy coming to life.

For many listeners, the red heifer is more than a curiosity—it is a foundational element of end-time prophecy. In Numbers 19, God commanded Israel to obtain a pure red heifer whose ashes, when mixed with living water, would be used to purify those who had come into contact with death. According to Jewish tradition, no one can enter the holy places—including a future Third Temple—without this purification.

“This is the first step,” Robbins emphasized. “Before Israel can resume daily sacrifices or rebuild the Temple, the people must be purified with the ashes of a red heifer.”

This is why Endtime Ministries has watched the red heifer search for decades, beginning with Irvin Baxter’s work alongside rancher Clyde Lott. But no red heifer had ever made it to the required age without disqualification—until now.

The Search, the Call, and the Miracle in Texas

Stinson recounted how his involvement began long before anyone contacted him about red heifers. As a 13-year-old boy reading Scripture, he sensed God speaking a destiny over him—one involving the Jewish people. Years later, through a series of unexpected assignments in Israel, he began building relationships with rabbis who would later launch Boneh Israel, an organization dedicated to restoring biblical observance and preparing for the days ahead.

When the rabbis recognized that Scripture instructed the nation of Israel to bring a red heifer to Judah, they turned to Stinson, believing Gentile believers—scattered descendants of the northern tribes—were prophetically positioned to help fulfill the command.

What followed was a labor-intensive search across Texas, culminating in the discovery of 21 pure red calves on the ranch of Ty Davenport near Rockwall. Due to import restrictions, only five could legally enter Israel—classified as “pets”—and arrived in late 2022.

Two have since been disqualified. Three remain perfect.

The Biblical Blueprint Behind the Ceremony

Stinson explained that the red heifer is not merely symbolic. For observant Jews, its ashes represent the reversal of death’s defilement—a restoration of God’s original intent for humanity.

“The effect of death is what limits our lives,” Stinson said. “The red heifer ceremony symbolically removes that effect. It represents Yeshua, and it opens the way for God’s will to be done on earth.”

This ritual was always intended to precede entry into holy spaces. It is the doorway to the pattern revealed in the tabernacle: sacrifice, light, bread, and mercy—the journey toward complete redemption.

From Rockwall to Shiloh: A Prophetic Connection

Robbins noted the remarkable proximity between the Texas ranch where the red heifers were found and the resting place of Endtime founder Irvin Baxter, who long believed the red heifer would one day appear.

“It’s unbelievable,” Robbins reflected. “The discovery was just miles from where he’s buried. Every time we visit, we tell him, ‘You won’t believe what’s happening now.’ Everything is converging so quickly toward the building of the Third Temple.”

What Happens to Disqualified Heifers?

Two of the original five have been ruled out—one due to white hairs, another due to a skin growth. These animals can still be bred, but only the perfect heifers remain viable candidates for future ceremonies.

Stinson confirmed that additional pure red animals continue to be bred both in Israel and in Texas, though attempts at artificial insemination in Israel have not yet succeeded.

Dispelling the Myths: These Are the Real Heifers

Some skeptics have suggested that the public red heifers are “decoys,” claiming the authentic animals are hidden elsewhere. Stinson dismissed this outright.

“The ones in Shiloh are the real ones,” he said. “I personally made the agreement to house them there.”

A Ceremony Interrupted by War

The conversation turned somber as Stinson and Robbins recalled October 7, 2023, when Hamas terrorists launched a surprise attack on Israel. Both men were in the country at the time.

Plans had been forming to perform the red heifer ceremony on the Mount of Olives during Passover 2024, though the date had not been finalized. The war shifted everything. As Stinson revealed, deeper geopolitical forces—stretching from Gaza to Iran—were already in motion long before the attack.

Part of that broader plan, he explained, intersected directly with the implications of the red heifer. The presence of these animals carries profound meaning—not only to believers watching prophecy unfold but to adversaries who understand its significance.

A Moment Heavy With Prophetic Weight

The July 1 ceremony, the surviving perfect heifers, and the mounting global tensions surrounding Israel underscore a singular reality:
Bible prophecy is advancing.

For decades, Endtime Ministries has taught that a Third Temple will stand in Jerusalem in the not-too-distant future. The red heifer is not the culmination of prophecy—but it is, undeniably, a beginning.

And as Robbins concluded, these developments continue to affirm what Scripture has long declared:
Jesus Christ is coming soon, and the stage is being set.
