The Invisible War: How Spiritual Forces Shape Politics, Religion, and Your Freedom

Male announcer: Previously on “The Endtime Show.”
Dave Robbins: And you know, surveillance systems.
Think about that.
To track citizens’ movements, every single thing they do.
Electronic ledgers, they wanna get control of your bank
account, they wanna control how much food and what kind of food
you consume, what kind of products, what kind, what–how
much electricity you consume, everything.
It’s not a government of the people, by
the people, and for the people.
It’s government of the elite, by the elite, for the elite.

Dave: The Bible says in Ephesians 6:12: “We wrestle not
against flesh and blood.
But we wrestle against principalities and powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,” and
some people say, “Oh, Dave, now come on, now you know that’s
just conspiracy theory and–” and I’m saying, no, it’s
actually not.
And we talked about Hollywood and now I’m on politics and the
influence that politics has.
You know, in some nations, they–believers are facing
outright persecution from the government.
In China, it is absolutely against the law to have a church
that is not government approved, a communist, the CCP, Communist
Chinese Party, a CCP-approved church.
If it doesn’t align up with the government and their ideology,
you’re not allowed to have– it’s against the law to have a
church in China, 1.4 billion people.
And we’re seeing this more and more.
Churches are being raided.
Pastors are imprisoned.
Christians are forced underground.
If you wanna have a–if you wanna go by the Bible
and not the government, then you gotta have a church in a closet
or in a basement or something like that.
It’s happening all over China.
In other nations, persecution takes subtler forms: censorship,
you’re not gonna be put in prison, but they’re gonna censor
you to where you don’t have a voice anymore.
Loss of jobs, a public ridicule or for standing on
biblical convictions.
And the Bible says in Isaiah chapter 10, verse 1: “Woe to
those who decree unrighteous decrees.”
You know, politics is no longer just about policy.
Hadn’t been for decades, actually.
It’s about–now there– now I will tell you I met
a politician.
I met Lori VanWinkle at our conference recently in Forest
Lake, Minnesota, and she’s doing, from all I can tell, I
went to–I went and did some research on her because I want
to have her on my program.
It looks like she’s doing what’s right.
And she’s trying to fight for– she’s anti-abortion, anti-LGBTQ,
she’s a lot of different things.
She’s taken a lot of kickback for that, for her stance in all
of that, and her abortion bill has went as far as any bill in
the history of the United States, as far as an abortion
bill for a state.
She–again she’s anti-abortion and so there are some, there are
some politicians, not 100% of them, but there are some who are
trying, actually trying to make a difference and do
what’s right.
And I’m hoping to have her on my radio program here before
very long.
But politics by and large, it’s one of–it’s Satan’s effort to
run the world really.
It’s no longer about–it hasn’t been for about policy
for decades.
It’s really about–it’s not about morality, it’s not about
the truth, and ultimately it’s really all about control.
And Satan thrives when people look to governments for
salvation instead of God.
I want to say that one more time.
Satan thrives when people look to governments for salvation
instead of God.
And there are more and more– the United Nations, this is what
they’re trying to do, this is one of their goals.
In times of crisis, people would not look to God.
They want them looking to the government for salvation in
times of crisis.
And the government is not here to save you.
Many people think it is.
But only God.
What we’re doing, everybody, if you understand, we’re looking
for a–looking for my eternal existence.
Only God can take me there.
Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.
That’s it.
And I’m not looking to government for my salvation.
But Satan thrives when people do that.
He loves it because they’re not paying any attention to God and
they’re looking to his method of ruling the world: politics.
And that’s precisely the goal of the prophesied endtime world
government of the Antichrist.
Revelation 13:4 says: “And they worshiped the dragon,” or Satan,
“which give power unto the beast, and they worshiped the
beast saying, ‘Who is like unto the beast?
Who’s able to make war with him?'”
Folks, this has always been Satan’s goal.
Doesn’t Matthew chapter 4, verse 8 through 10, the Bible says,
and this is when Satan is tempting Jesus.
The Bible says: “And the devil taketh him up, Jesus, up onto an
exceeding high mountain and showeth him all the kingdoms of
the world and the glory of them.
And Satan says unto Jesus, ‘All these things will I give you if
you will just fall down and worship me.'”
Then, of course, the Lord said back to him, that “Satan, get
thee hence for it’s written that ‘thou shalt worship the Lord thy
God and him only shalt thou serve.'”
Satan’s goal was to get Jesus to worship him.
So do you not think he’s trying to get you to worship him?
The Bible says everyone will worship him whose name is not
written in the Lamb’s book of life.
And so listen, we’re not ruling against flesh and blood.
The person that is, you know, just you think, man, he’s just a
thorn in my side.
It’s not the person you’re wrestling with, it’s spirits
that are controlling that person.
And the–in politics and different things that will
happen to the church or anything that’s been happening for a long
time that would be against the church or you as a Christian,
that you’re wrestling against,
we’re not wrestling against flesh and blood.
We’re wrestling against those dark powers that are of the–in
this world that are at work, Satan.
And this is what Tucker Carlson and some different people
are seeing.
He said, “Man, over the last six years people started telling me
and so and so has a demon or this is demonic or there’s dark,
dark, there’s a dark presence, an underlying dark presence at
work,” and he said, “Now I’m seeing it and I’m understanding
more and more,” but he said, “It happens to me all the time.”
Tucker Carlson just said that.
So there’s politics, but also, and a lot of people don’t think
about this,
but I want us to think about the dark side of religion:
the war inside the church.
You know, it–I’m gonna say probably perhaps the most
sobering battlefield is religion because Satan cannot have you
going by the Bible ’cause he knows if you do you’re gonna
be saved.
So what he tries to do is to just–you know, if you turn the
steering wheel, if you’re going out in a car, you’re going down
the highway at 70 miles an hour, if you turn the steering wheel
just a little bit, you may not go off the ditch immediately,
but a couple of miles down the road you’re way off out in the
ditch and you wonder how you got there.
Well, you just turned the steering wheel just a
little bit.
Well, that’s what Satan’s trying to do and has always tried to do
to the church, and from the very beginning with Adam and Eve.
The Lord said, “You guys can eat of any tree in the garden.
It’s beautiful.
Eat of any tree you want except the Tree of the Knowledge of
Good and Evil.”
And Satan come–“and the day you eat of it–if you eat of
it, the day you eat of it, you’re gonna die.”
And Adam–and Satan comes along.
And says, “You know, you’re not really gonna die.
God just knows that you’ll be like him and he doesn’t want you
to do that so you’re not really gonna die though.”
And so Eve says, “You know what, man, the
fruit looks pretty good, I’ll just take a bite of it.
She did.
Adam took a bite, boom, they lost their sonship because they
disobeyed God, and Satan just sit back and laughed and,
“You guys are stupid.
Look at what you just did.
You lost your sonship over one bite from an apple.”
It was so much more than just a bite.
It was disobeying Almighty God.
But Satan, that was his goal: to separate Adam and Eve from God.
The relationship they had, God had a family.
Adam and Eve were sons of God, and they lost their sonship once
they ate and disobeyed God.
And look at what–we all have felt the effects of that, right?
Now we’re all born in sin, shaped in iniquity.
Sin entered into the human race, and of course, God himself had
to robe himself in flesh and come down and die for us
so that way we could be taken
out from under the law of sin and death.
Ezekiel 18:4: “The soul that sins, it’s got to die.”
And so God, a spotless human being, had to come and die.
He came down, robed himself in flesh, died for us.
He had never sinned, and yet Satan, he tricked Satan into
putting him to death, and when he did that, he took us out.
The Bible says: “The spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me
free from the law of sin and death.”
And yet the most sobering battlefield is religion because
Satan knows that if he can get involved in religion and gets
you tweaked just a little bit to where you think you’re saved but
you’re not, then he’s got you.
And Jesus himself, that’s why Jesus in Matthew 24, he warns
over and over again.
He says, “Take heed that no man deceives you, for many will come
in my name and deceive many.
Say–they’ll say, ‘I am Christ.’
They’re gonna say, ‘I’m a Christian.'”
But Jesus said they’re gonna be deceiving people, even saying
they’re a Christian, not teaching the full truth or
saying, “Oh yeah, you can be a Christian, but you don’t have
to–you don’t have to adhere to any of
the doctrines in the Bible.
Let’s just sweep those under the rug.
We don’t have to, you know,” but the Bible says hold to those
doctrines because in doing so– and teach them because in doing
so you’ll save yourself and them that hear you.
The doctrines are absolutely essential.
You can’t just sweep them under the rug.
And Jesus also said in Matthew 24, “And many false prophets
shall arise and shall deceive many.”
But you say, “They’re gonna be prophets.”
They’re gonna be false prophets.
They’re not gonna be teaching the truth.
Not everybody that stands in a pulpit and claims to be a
minister is teaching the truth.
You’ve got to know the Word of God for yourself because Satan
is a master deceiver.
“Well, that, he’s stand–this guy’s standing in a church.
He’s got a suit on and–or this guy or this lady.
And they’re preaching on a Sunday.
They’ve got to be telling you the truth.”
Folks, listen to me.
You gotta make sure you know the Word of God because it all goes
back to the Word of God.
Fact check me.
Fact check a minister.
Make sure they’re teaching you what the Word of God says.
Because if they move off the Word of God, I need to find
another church.
I can’t go there anymore.
This guy doesn’t teach the truth.
This lady isn’t teaching the truth.
I gotta move.
And I don’t care if I went to a church for 50 years and the guy
gets up and starts teaching something that’s not a–that’s
diametrically opposed to the Word of God, I’m changing
churches tomorrow.
I’m not gonna go there.
Now, thank God I’ve got a fabulous pastor that doesn’t
do that.
And I’m very, very, very good friends with my pastor and I
know exactly what he believes and he teaches the absolute
truth of the Word of God.
That’s why I’ve been going there for 20 years, 20-plus years now.
But very, very important, know what your pastor teaches.
Make sure they’re teaching you the absolute truth in the Word
of God.
And if they’re not, they’re teaching something that’s
diametrically opposed to the Word of God, go talk to them.
Say, man, I gotta take you out for a cup of coffee.
I gotta understand this.
You’re teaching this, but the Bible says this.
What’s wrong with that?
Jesus said, in Matthew 24, “For there shall arise false Christs
and false prophets and shall show great sign and wonders
insomuch that if it were possible they would deceive the
very elect.”
But we are seeing churches today–
Jesus prophesied about this–
we’re seeing churches that are compromising the truth of God’s
Word to fit culture trends.
And the Word of God is– there’s–is twofold.
There’s a thesis to the Word of God.
I can give it to you in two sentences.
The Word is God–the Word of God is here to help you have a
wonderful relationship with Jesus Christ, your relationship
with God.
And then also your relationship with your fellow man, that’s
what the Word of God is here to give us.
announcer: What if you could understand Bible prophecy?
Dave Robbins, the host of “The Endtime Show’s” TV and radio
programs, is holding a free Prophecy Conference near you.
Gain peace and understanding about what the Bible says
concerning endtime prophecy.
Call 1-800-endtime or go to endtime.com/events to see when
Dave will be in a location near you.
Dave: You say, “Well, Dave, I don’t really know what that
looks like.”
Well, sermons that–sermons that once called for repentance
and holiness and godly living and, you know, when you come to
God, you’ve got to change your life.
You can’t live a sinful life like you’ve always lived.
I mean, that’s the whole reason God came for to–the Bible says
God was in Christ reconciling the world unto him.
He did that by not imputing their trespasses to them, but
you’ve gotta repent.
You gotta–repentant means to turn away from an old lifestyle.
I’m gonna live a new lifestyle.
I’m gonna live a Christian lifestyle.
And yet, when you stand–if somebody stands in a pulpit and
says, you know, “Come to God, be saved, and then, but you can
still live the exact same lifestyle you’ve been living
your whole life,” uh-uh, that’s not scripture.
That’s not scriptural, everybody.
But a lot of people don’t want to be told to change, and so a
lot of pastors are standing in pulpits today and they won’t
talk about sin or repentance or holiness or anything.
Okay, well, Satan loves that.
And now a lot of ministers will teach–they focus on
self-improvement, which there’s nothing wrong with that or
prosperity like, well, if God loves you, you’ll have five cars
in the garage and, you know, this giant bank account and a
huge home, and if you don’t have all that, then there must be
something wrong with you.
Okay, that’s not biblical at all.
Yes, God will bless you and if you, you know, if you are–God
loves a cheerful giver, God will bless you.
But he might bless you with a wonderful family or with, you
know, there’s a million ways God can bless you: with your health
or whatever.
But I don’t serve God because he’s gonna bless me.
I serve God because I love him.
I want to go to heaven. He died for me.
There’s, I mean, I’ve got a wonderful family.
I serve him for a million reasons.
But I’m not gonna get in a pulpit and say, “Well, if God
loves you, then you’ll have millions of dollars,” because
there’s–there are people that live under a bridge or that are
in prison and all kinds of stuff that can be saved.
And so also self-improvement.
I’m not gonna tell everybody if they get saved that you’re gonna
lead, you know, a perfect life because I’ve been saved for
years and–for decades, and man, I’ve had stuff happen to me
and I’ve had–me and my wife had problems.
God had to take us through a lot of stuff and then we–God
brought us miraculously back together.
This was back in just 2002, I think.
Me and my wife split up for 2 years.
Well, I, you know, we went through some stuff.
I’m sorry to say that, but I’m being transparent, but God
brought us back together miraculously and our marriage
is, I think, I think my marriage is one of the best I know of
right now.
And everybody that’s listening, tell my wife I said that.
And because I love my wife.
Prior to that, I had–we had a rocky relationship, but God had
to take us down to zero before he could help us to have what we
really–what he really wanted to give us.
But I had to go through some stuff.
Well, if I had a pastor tell me that everything’s gonna be
peaches and rosy and everything once you get born again,
that’s not true.
You can’t be, you know, if–you will have a great wonderful life
living for God.
But you got–but you can’t do that and then say, “But forget
all the doctrines that are in the Bible.
We don’t–you ain’t got to pay attention.”
Those doctrines are–there are people preaching that doctrines
are divisive.
Doctrines are not made to be divisive.
Doctrines will bring you closer to God and protect you from some
of the things that the enemy has throwing darts at you.
Those doctrines are protective.
And you know, sin is rarely mentioned in pulpits anymore.
And man, we’ve got to get back to preaching sin and hell and,
you know, and I’m not saying every time that you get in the
pulpit you gotta teach on hell, but I’m saying if you haven’t
mentioned hell in your church in the last 25 years, you probably
ought to bring it up at some point because there are people
sitting in that congregation that, if they don’t straighten
up, they’re gonna go there and you gotta tell them about it.
Jesus Christ taught and preached on hell more than any other
teacher or preacher in the Bible.
Think about that.
And so we probably ought to talk about it.
What am I talking about?
I’m talking about Satan would love to get there to where the
church is just pomp and circumstance and, you know, just
love everybody.
I do love everybody.
But the fact is, I can’t compromise and say, “Well,
I, you know, I can’t preach about this
because so and so’s here today.”
No, that’s probably when you should preach about it.
Wow, okay, I gotta, man, I gotta get back to my lesson here
because–but I’m talking about–I’m talking about Satan
getting his claws into a church, into the church, into religion.
The, you know, and they preach the cross watered down and, you
know, congregations are being just lulled into sleep,
spiritual sleep.
Some people are going to sleep during the minister, but I’m–
that’s not what I’m talking about.
Talking about spiritual sleep because we’re supposed to be,
you know, ignited for revival and just, you know, preaching
and teaching the Word of God and winning souls and teaching Bible
studies and, I mean, we’re just moving and growing and the
church is expanding and we’re building the kingdom of God.
And Satan has lulled some churches to sleep to think,
“Well, I’m comfortable.
And you know, we’ve got a church that seats 150 and we’re running
about 130, 135, and so, you know, we’re comfortable here.”
And they’re in a community that runs–that’s 25,000 or 30,000,
50,000, and they get comfortable, though.
And you can’t get comfortable.
Uh-uh, there’s a lost and dying world, you gotta reach
your city.
You gotta plant another church, you gotta plant another one
down here.
There’s got to be preaching points everywhere.
We got to expand the gospel of the kingdom of God, expand the
kingdom of God everywhere.
I’m talking about there are people that are lost and dying
going to hell, and a lot of churches have been lulled to
sleep because they’re comfortable, oh man.
And in some circles, truth is being blended with lies in the
name of unity.
Let’s all just unify and love each other and get along and
Hans Kung said it in “The Global Ethic of the Parliament of
World’s Religions.”
He says let’s just sink all our narrow differences for the cause
of the global community.
The global order is what he called it.
“Let’s sink our narrow differences.”
Oh really?
That’s whether you believe in one God or whether you believe
in 10,000 gods or whether Jesus Christ was God or that Jesus
Christ did, in fact, die on the cross?
I can’t sweep those things under the rug.
And, you know, there are movements that are pushing for
all religions to come together under one umbrella, claiming
that all paths, all religions lead to God, but didn’t Jesus
declare in John 14:6: “I am the way, I am
the truth, I am the life.
No man cometh to the Father but by me.”
And to deny that truth is to deny the very foundation of
the gospel.
There are some people that deny that Jesus Christ was God or
that he died on the cross.
Folks, that’s the essence of our Christian belief system.
If you don’t–the Bible says: “He that cometh to God must
first believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them
that diligently seek him,” and then we’ve been given a message:
the gospel of the kingdom of God.
If you’re–if you consider yourself a Christian today, then
I need–my message–Jesus Christ’s message was the kingdom
of God.
He told the disciples, “You go teach the gospel of the kingdom
of God,” and that is our message.
And if you don’t believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross
or that he rose from the dead, he was–died, was buried, and
rose again, what are you gonna preach?
And you know, beyond compromise, you say, “Dave, what are we
talking about here?”
I’m telling you there is an enemy against humanity that
wants to see all of humanity go to hell and burn forever.
Folks, we can’t let that happen, and even global journalists like
Tucker Carlson are starting to recognize this kind of stuff.
He’s having people–he’s interviewing people and they’re
laying it out how it’s all happening.
This guy that he interviewed on one of his programs was going to
do a program on Hollywood and some different things and he
started finding out when he dove off into a bunch of it what was
the motivation for some of the stuff that a lot of them were
connected to the occult and different spiritual guides and
all kinds of stuff and he was like, “What in the world is
driving all of this?”
And then, you know, that–okay, so religion, beyond compromise
even, persecution is growing even within
religious structures.
And this is an enemy coming against them.
The church, believers who stand firm on biblical teaching and
are–they’re often criticized.
This has happened since the beginning, not just by the
world, though, but by other so-called Christians.
And you know, the Bible talks about a falling away prophesied
1 Timothy 4:1.
It says: Now that the spirit speaketh expressly, that in the
latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to
seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.”
So make no mistake, Satan doesn’t just attack
from outside.
He also can infiltrate from inside, twisting truths into
half a truth, he’s fine with that,
and until deception feels like doctrine.
And also getting people to not go to church anymore.
The Bible specifically says: “Forsake not the assembling of
yourselves together, even so much more as you see the
day approaching.”
I want to quote that again.
The Bible says: “Forsake not the assembling of yourselves
together, even so much more as you see the day approaching.”
And so I’ve gotta–I gotta go to church.
I need to be part of a good Bible-believing,
Bible-teaching church.
I need to be a member because I need the–I need
the camaraderie.
I need the church.
I need the body of Christ.
It’s a body.
In times of need, the church can help you, and if
you’re going through something in your life, the church can
gather together and pray with you.
I need–the Bible says God chose with the foolishness of
preaching to save them that believe.
I need an altar call experience, as much as I can get.
I need to go there when people are baptized.
There’s a million reasons why I go and attend a church.
And the Bible says: “Forsake not the assembling of
yourselves together.”
And so, ladies and gentlemen, the Bible makes it crystal
clear, Satan is not just a figure of the past.
He’s actively at work in the world today.
But one of the things I want to share with you right here in the
very end is that the Bible says: “Greater is he that’s in me than
he that’s in the world.”
The Bible says: “God encampeth his angels about them that
fear him.”
In the book of Job chapter 1, the Bible says: The sons of God
appeared before God to give an account, and Satan was with
them, and the Lord said, ‘Satan, what have you been doing?’
‘Oh, I’ve been going to and fro in the earth,’ and he said–the
Lord said to Satan, ‘Well, have you considered my servant Job?’
And Job said, ‘Well, yeah, I’ve–I’d love to get at him,
but Lord, you’ve got a hedge of protection around him, and I
can’t get to him.’
He said, ‘You take that hedge of protection down and he’ll curse
you to your face.'”
Here’s the point, everybody.
Satan can’t do anything but what God doesn’t allow it.
And so what am I doing throughout the end time?
I put my hope and faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
“Greater is he that’s in me than he that’s in the world.”
And if you will hold to the Lord’s hand, be born again, you
have a promise: “He that endureth to the end, the same
shall be saved.”
It’s called the blessed–there was an old song, “Blessed
Assurance, Jesus is mine.”
I’m going to be with Jesus someday for eternity, and I’m
gonna try to get as many people as I can to be born again, to be
saved, and I’m building the kingdom of God.
Why?
Because there is an enemy but “greater is he that’s in me than
he that’s in the world,” and I’m not gonna let Satan come into my
world and be over me.
I’m gonna–I’m gonna put my hope and faith and trust in
Jesus Christ.
He is the way, he is the truth, and he is the life.
And he has saved me and I’m going to be with him and I
encourage you to be part of the Church of Jesus Christ
as well today.
God bless.
