From Armageddon to Eternity: God’s Plan for the End of the Age

From the End of the Age to the Kingdom of God: What Scripture Says About Our Soon-Coming Transition

From Armageddon to Eternity: God’s Plan for the End of the AgeBy Dave Robbins, Endtime Ministries

Prophecy students have long wrestled with how the events of the end of this age connect with the glorious 1,000-year reign of Jesus Christ. To some, the pieces seem scattered—almost contradictory. But when we align our understanding with the Word of God, the puzzle comes together in perfect harmony.

The Final Battle and the Fate of the Antichrist

Revelation 19 paints a sobering scene. As the Battle of Armageddon unfolds, the Antichrist—the political leader of the coming world government—and the False Prophet—the religious leader of a one-world faith—will unite the kings of the earth against the Lord Himself.

Their rebellion will fail instantly. Scripture says both will be captured alive and cast into the lake of fire. The armies they lead will be destroyed by the power of Christ’s Word, and even the birds of the air will feast on their remains. It is a stark warning of the fate awaiting those who align themselves against God and His people.

Two Harvests, One Kingdom

Jesus spoke of a simultaneous harvest—the wheat and the tares (Matthew 13). Revelation 14 and 19 confirm it: the righteous, prepared as the Bride of Christ, will be gathered for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, while the wicked face judgment.

At this moment, Jesus will return with His saints to replace the kingdoms of this world with the Kingdom of God. Satan will be bound for 1,000 years, unable to deceive the nations.

Life in the Millennium

With Satan removed, the rule of Christ will begin. Scripture says the saints—those born again—will reign as kings and priests (Revelation 5:10, 20:4–6). Mortals who survive Armageddon will live under this righteous rule, rebuilding, planting, and enjoying the peace Isaiah foretold. Weapons will become farming tools, and “they shall learn war no more” (Isaiah 2:4).

Even nature will be transformed: the wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the lion will eat straw like an ox (Isaiah 65). It will be a thousand years without pain, fear, or violence—a foretaste of eternity.

Why Satan Is Released

After the millennium, Satan will be loosed briefly (Revelation 20:7–10). The reason is free will. Just as Adam and Eve were given a choice, so will those who lived during Christ’s reign. Astonishingly, many will again choose rebellion—but this time, fire from heaven will consume them. Satan will join the Antichrist and False Prophet in the lake of fire forever.

The Great White Throne Judgment

Then comes the most sobering moment in human history: the Great White Throne Judgment. The dead will stand before God, the books will be opened, and those whose names are not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will face eternal separation from God.

Revelation is clear—only those born again will enter the Kingdom. Jesus told Nicodemus, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

The Urgent Call

Friend, Jesus is coming soon. The signs are everywhere: the rise of world government, global religion, and precursors to the Mark of the Beast; the regathering of Israel; the preparations for the Third Temple. Every prophecy necessary for His return is either fulfilled or in motion.
