Dave Robbins: What is the Lamb’s Book of Life and why does it
determine your eternal destiny?
Well, from the Old Testament to Revelation chapter 22, Scripture
reveals a divine record of those who belong to God, and the
eternal consequences for those who do not.
Stay tuned, because we’re gonna unpack the truth about whose
names are written in heaven, and how it changes everything on
this edition of “The Endtime Show.”

Dave: Good afternoon everybody, I’m Dave Robbins with
Endtime Ministries.
I do thank you for joining me on this edition of “The
Endtime Show.”
You know, it is estimated that there are over 4000 distinct
religions worldwide.
Think of that, 4000.
And research from the Pew Research Center shows that
roughly 85% of the global population identify with a
religious group.
Think about that, 85% of the 8.2 billion people on the planet
consider themselves religious and attached to a specific
religious group.
During a three day trip to Singapore back in–I think it
was September of 2024, Pope Francis stated that all
religions are a path to God.
So what is he saying?
That a vast–over 85% of the people on the planet will go
to heaven?
Well, this idea, it aligns with the concept of–in one way, it
aligns with the concept of universalism, and universalism
is the belief that everyone will ultimately be saved.
Now listen, everybody, this is a big teaching.
Many people hold the view that all paths, regardless of
religion or belief system, in some way or another lead to
heaven, or they assume that God’s love and mercy, even if
they’re attached to a specific religion, they just assume that
God’s love and mercy are so great that there’s no way he
could send everybody to a eternal damnation.
And that he will, some way, come up with some kind of a plan or
something to welcome everyone into heaven.
And listen folks, I agree that God’s love and mercy and grace
is just–there’s nothing like, it never–it’s never ending.
His mercies are renewed every day, but just as much as God is
a God of love, you have to understand, scripturally, God is
a God of judgment as well.
Now, I know that that’s not a popular statement.
Especially in–even in a lot of churches today, you’re never
gonna hear anything about God’s judgment or an eternal judgment,
the lake of fire, hell, you’re not gonna hear anything
like that.
And–but you’ll hear everything about God’s love and mercy and
grace, and I love teaching and preaching about that, and
hearing messages about God’s love, mercy, and grace, right?
If it wasn’t for that, we’d all be on our way to an eternal
damnation, however, I wanted to talk to you today about the end
time separation, because it’s scriptural and we need to talk
about it.
Now, while this belief of pretty much that everybody can go to
heaven, it is widespread and honest–let’s be honest, it
is appealing.
Hey, everybody’s just gonna go to heaven, live however you
want, believe whatever you want, but we’re all just gonna make it
somehow, some way.
And it’s appealing for certain pastors who are just trying to
build a giant church, just–I want as many people as I
come–as I want–as I can get, I just wanted to fill my church.
Well, we–I want that as well, I’m trying to build the kingdom
of God, and I wanna see churches full.
But at the end of the day, what good is a church that’s
absolutely full if nobody makes it to heaven from
that congregation?
You say, “Oh Dave, everybody’s going.”
No, that’s my point today everybody: everybody’s
not going.
Yes, I said it.
And it’s a realization that needs to sink in to some people,
because it’s not being taught in a lot of churches.
Everybody goes, right?
The Pope would say, all religions lead to God, but
they don’t.
And there is a book that’s being recorded in heaven, and it’s
been being recorded for thousands of years now, and I
want to talk about that today because there is a separation.
Your name is either in that book or your name is not in
that book.
And so this belief that I say is appealing to certain pastors and
certain congregations, certain religions, that everybody goes
to heaven: that is not supported by scripture, okay?
And if it’s not supported by scripture, then we got
a problem.
You know, Matthew chapter 7, verses 21 through 23 says, “Not
every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father
which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in your name?
In thy name, have we not cast out devils?
And in thy name that we did many mighty wonderful works?”
And the Bible says, the Lord will say, “And then I will
profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you worker
of iniquity.”
That kind of goes against the universalism belief system that
everybody’s going to heaven, right?
But the thing is, folks, this is a decision that you’ve got–you
can’t make a mistake on this one.
You can go out and buy a lemon of a car.
You can make that mistake and you can recover from it.
Buy a–I know a guy that built a house one time, a very expensive
house, and–but he dug the house before they drilled for water.
And they came–after the fact, I don’t even know–it was–they
built it out on a farm.
After the fact, or some farmland, and there was no water
to be had.
He was way out in the country.
And that it was–the house–and there was no way for them to get
water there, I guess, because the house is still sitting there
with–nobody lives there.
And it’s a decision, but you could recover from something
like that, go build another house, you know, I mean, there’s
all kinds of ramifications, but the thing is, make a mistake in
this life, but where do I–do I have my name in the Lamb’s Book
of Life or don’t I?
That’s not a mistake that I can make.
I got to make the right decisions in my life to make
sure my name’s in the book.
So on today’s program, I want to dive into a powerful and a
thought provoking theme found throughout Christian teaching.
And that’s the separation at the end times and the Lamb’s book
of life.
Because that–this is what it all boils down to, right here at
the end.
And it’s a concept that speaks to the ultimate division between
the righteous and the wicked.
And it plays a major role in how Scripture describes the final
judgment, and the coming of God’s eternal kingdom.
And so we’re gonna do a deep dive into this today, in fact
people asked me some questions on this lately, and I wanted to
make sure that everybody understood how important
this is.
This is the most important thing in your entire life.
And whether your name is in the Lamb’s book of life.
You can’t allow it not to be there.
And so I wanted to talk about it, because there’s not just one
or two scriptures about it in the Bible, there is a plethora
of scriptures, Old and New Testament.
And so we’re gonna talk about it.

I’ll just tell you, rather than starting Tiberius up by the Sea
of Galilee and end up in Jerusalem, we start in Jerusalem
and end up by the Sea of Galilee.

where you, you know, they say, oh, Jesus stubbed his toe here,
let’s go see that.
So and so climbed this tree, this happened, oh no–my
father-in-law’s been there so many times, my wife and I have
been there so many times, that we cut out all that stuff, and
some people saved their entire life to go to Israel once.
So we have a lot of people like that to go with us and then
we’ve had a bunch of–we’ve already had a bunch of people

go one time we wanna make sure you have the most memorable trip
so we only go to the most salient, most important sites
that you can–that you have to see when you go to Israel, we’ll

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is
called Christ.
And Jesus said unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
Jesus very clearly stated that he was God and that he was
the Messiah.
We’re even more blessed because we haven’t seen those things,
but yet we believe.
When Jesus cried out, “My God, my God, why hast thou
forsaken me?”
he knew every one of these prophecies had to be fulfilled.
He said, “It is finished.”

Dave: The Lamb’s Book of Life, you know, this isn’t some
abstract idea, okay?
This is not a fairy tale, it’s not a myth.
It’s clearly illustrated in the words of Jesus himself,
especially through his parables, and this–what does he say–what
is the Lamb of–the Lamb’s book of life mean to you, Dave?
It means a great separation.
Your name’s either in the book or it’s not.
And Jesus taught about this great separation through his
parables, when he talks about the kingdom of heaven.
Over and over and over, he talks about people that will go and
people that won’t.
And I’ve said it many times, in–when the Rapture occurs,
you’re either a saint or you’re a sinner.
This is Bible 101.
You’re either a sheep or a goat, we’ll talk about that in
a minute.
You’re either a wheat or a tare.
You’re either the–you’re either the harvest of the earth or the
harvest of the vine of the earth.
There’s one or the other, there’s not both.
And so, I have to be a saint, I have to be part of the bride, I
have to be a wheat.
And so okay, take for example the well known parable of the
sheep and the goats.
It’s from Matthew chapter 25, now Matthew chapter 24 and 25 on
the Olivet Discourse.
In Matthew chapter 24, verse 3, the disciples said, hey Lord,
what’s gonna be the sign of your coming and of the end of
this age?
And then he goes on out through there, here’s what’s
gonna happen.
Take heed that no man would deceive you.
Many will come in my name to deceive many.
You’re gonna hear of wars, or rumors of wars, pestilence or
pandemics, earthquakes in divers places.
You’re, you know, this gospel of the kingdom will be preached to
the whole world, then the end will come.
When you see the abomination of desolation which them who be in
Judea flee, for then it’s gonna be great tribulation.
I mean, he just walks right down through here, verse 29,
immediately after the tribulation of those days, would
the Rapture occur.
And then he just goes–so Matthew 24 and 25, a lot of
people stop at 24, but Matthew 25 is Jesus describing what it
will be like in the transition from Satan’s kingdom into
God’s kingdom.
When Jesus comes back, he’s going to establish his kingdom,
a physical kingdom, here on the earth for 1,000 years.
And there’s a transition that–there’s a separation, who
gets to rule and reign as kings and priests with Christ for that
1000 years, people whose name is in the book of life, okay?
So when Jesus teaches this parable about the sheep and the
goats, I want you to picture this.
This is Matthew chapter 25.
So obviously Jesus, the Son of man.
He returns in glory with all the angels by his side and he’s
seated on his glorious throne.
This is the parable in Matthew 25, and before him stand all the
nations of the world, everybody’s gathered here.
Now, this is a–obviously this is a parable.
And–but it’s basically saying, God’s going to look at the
entire world.
But what happens next?
Well, in Matthew 25, it’s verse 32, it says, “And he will
separate them one from another.”
Here’s the–this is the biblical separation right here at the end
of the age.
How’s he gonna know to separate them, because some are written
in the Lamb’s Book of Life, some are not.
God already knows that.
So the Bible says that the Lord, “Will separate them one from
another, as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats.
And He will set the sheep on His right hand and the goats on His
left hand.”
And the Bible says, “Then the King will say to those on his
right, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom
prepared for you from the foundation of the world.'”
The book of Daniel chapter 7 says that at that time, when the
ancient of days comes, the saints will inherit the kingdom.
And that’s how we will be able to rule and reign with him as
kings and priests for that 1000 year millennial reign.
So this all happens at the time of the Rapture.
Then verse 41 says, “Then He will also say to those on his
left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting
fire prepared for the devil and his angels.'”
And the Bible says in verse 46, “And these will go away into
everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Now, it’s the great separation.
It’s a biblical time of separation that lets us know
beyond a shadow of a doubt.
There’s no question.
Not everyone is going to make it to heaven.
I know that’s a strong statement.
I wish it were not that way.
It’s not God’s will.
Bible says it’s not God’s will that any should perish, but that
all should come unto repentance.
But the Bible says that most won’t.
They simply will not, are not willing to align themselves up
to the principles taught in the Word of God, and to have obeyed
the gospel.
So, for an individual who claims to be religious to say, well,
all religions lead to God–wow, you talk about a
misleading statement.
Because there’s only one way to get your name in that book, and
that’s to be born again, Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3,
“Except a man’s born again, he can’t enter or see the kingdom
of God.”
So my message to you today is make sure you’re born again.
You say, how do I do that?

Goes through all the proph–all the scriptures and everything,
step by step by step, all intricate detail that shows you
how to be born again and how to live as a Christian and then,
once you’re born again, that’s how you get your name in the
Lamb’s book of life.
It’s very simple.
And it’s of utmost importance that you understand that.
Now, and so that’s the parable of the sheep and the goats in
Matthew 25, but there’s also another one.
Matthew chapter 13.
Here we find the parable of the wheat and the tares.
Jesus tells of a man sowing good seed in his field, only to have
his enemy sneak in and scatter the weeds among the wheat.
Have you ever had it happen, have you ever farmed, or you
ever planted a garden?
You plant it and it all looks great, and then a month later
the thing’s full of weeds.
Now any good gardener, any good farmer, they’ll go out and plow
the field, and they’ll cultivate, and–or they’ll hoe
the weeds out.
But this is a parable, Jesus is saying, and he’s saying, hey, an
enemy snuck in and planted weeds among the wheat.
Well, if you fast forward to the harvest time or the time of the
Rapture, this is a parable, Jesus is teaching, he says, and
you have the reapers who are the angels, they gather up the weeds
to be burned, while the wheat is safely brought into the barn.
Well, Jesus–now this is gonna–this is the great
separation again, the wheat and the tares.
Jesus himself explains that this harvest represents the end of
the age.
This is the time when the rapture will happen.
Remember in Matthew 24, what’s gonna be the sign of your coming
and of the end of the age?
And that’s what he talks about in verse 31, about the rapture.
The Lord will send his angels with the sound of a trumpet to
gather his elect.
That’s the Rapture.
So that’s what Jesus is talking about here, this is at the time
of the end of the age.
Jesus says–and verse starts in verse 37, the one sowing the
seed, “He who sows the seed is the Son of Man.”
That’s Jesus Christ.
“The field is the world,” again, this is a parable.
It’s a story that helps people understand things, so the–it’s
a kind of like a picture book Jesus is painting here.
“The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the
kingdom,” they’re the saved individuals.
“The tares are the sons of the wicked ones,” they’re
unsaved people.
So the wheat, the good seeds are the ones that have their name
written in the Lamb’s book of life, the tares are the ones
whose names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Jesus is telling a parable here, and the enemy–he says in verse
39, “The enemy who sowed them,” the tares, “that’s the devil,”
and he’s saying that the devil here, remember back with Adam
and Eve, sin entered into the human race when they sinned, the
serpent was there.
So the devil went in and sin entered into the human race.
And the devil sowed these wicked seeds into the world.
“And the harvest is the end of the age,” Jesus is saying, right
where we’re at right now, just–we’re just ahead of that,
“And the reapers are the angels.”
Again, this is a depiction of the Rapture.
Verse 40 says, Jesus said, “Therefore as the tares are
gathered at the time of the rapture, they’re gathered and
burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.
The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out
of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice
lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire.”
Now again, I understand it’s not a popular subject, a lot of
teachers and preachers don’t–they will avoid that
subject like a plague in a church anymore.
But it’s in the Bible, and Jesus taught about it over and over
and over again.
And you say, well, is it a joyable subject?
Absolutely not, it’s not supposed to be a
joyable subject.
But people need to understand that not everybody’s going
to heaven.
Not everybody’s name is written in the Lamb’s book of life.
And once you get your name in there, it can be blotted out.
I know there’s a huge teaching, about once you get your name in
the Lamb’s book of life, no one can take it out.
Well, nobody can take it out, but God can.
And he will take it out based on your decisions.
Why does the Bible say he that endureth to the end, the same
shall be saved?
You’re gonna have to go through some things.
But man, don’t let your name be taken out of the book.
And there’s many verses in the Bible that talk about someone’s
name being taken out of the book.
The Bible says, forsake not the assembling of yourselves
together, even so much more as you see that day approaching,
for if you sin willfully, there remaineth no more sacrifice
for you.
And it talks about the man putting his hand to the plow and
then looking back, he’s not fit for the kingdom.
I mean over and over and over.
And so that’s another teaching that’s out there.
Once your name’s in there, it’s never coming out.
Well, that’s not true, and so–
Now, there’s nobody else can take it out, but you can pull it
out by your actions.
You say, well, there’s nothing I can do that can prevent me from
being saved.
The Bible says at the time of the great white throne that they
were judged by their works.
Remember in Revelation chapter 2 and 3, all the churches, it was
saying, I know thy works, I know thy works, I know thy works.
Now works does–works don’t save you, but your works will change
once you’re born again.
Now, the Bible says in verse 42 that, “It will cast them into
the furnace of fire,” this is Matthew 13.
“Cast them into the furnace of fire.
There’s gonna be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Then the righteousness–the righteous will shine forth as
the sun in the kingdom of their Father.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
Then there’s also the parable of the dragnet, you remember
that one?
Matthew 13, verse 47, again, the kingdom of–Jesus is talking
here over and over, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a
dragnet that was cast into the sea and was gathered up every
kind, which, when it is full, they drew to shore; and they sat
down and gathered the good into the vessels, but threw the
bad away.
So will it be at the end of the age.
The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among
the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire.
There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
So Jesus, he speaks of this separation at the time of the
harvest or the Rapture, but why does it matter?
What’s the deeper meaning?
I mean if we–if we jump outside the store and look at this
entire scope of the Bible, what’s the deeper meaning of
these specific stories, why did Jesus think it was so important
to make sure that he taught these things while he was here
on the earth.
Well, at its core, this separation, you said, what are
we talking about here today?
We’re talking about the great–the Lamb’s Book of Life.
But at the core of this teaching that there’s a separation here,
it’s what it means–it’s what it’s talking about.
This separation reveals God’s justice and his holiness.
And folks, it’s something that we’ve got to talk about today
because there’s a huge section of the population that believe
that everybody’s going to make it to heaven, but they do not.
And is that a feel good message?
Yes it is, but it’s not a scriptural message, and I wanna
make sure that you know the truth about this today.
