Bible Questions – 12/22/2024
Dave Robbins: Over the years, we have been asked so many great
questions pertaining not only to Bible prophecy, but the other
70% of the Bible.
Well, we’re gonna answer some of the more recent questions on
today’s edition of “The Endtime Show.”
♪♪♪
Dave: Good afternoon everybody, I’m Dave Robbins with Endtime
Ministries and I do thank you for joining me on this edition
of “The Endtime Show.”
Wow, have we gotten so many great questions over the years,
and I’m just gonna walk down through here on this next couple
episodes and go through as many of these questions as we can.
I’ve taught hundreds of Bible studies and honestly, the Bible
study really starts at the end when people start
asking questions.
People across the room will ask things that somebody over here
never thought to ask and they thought, man, and that’s when
people really learn stuff.
I learn a lot when I get into a class by just asking questions,
so I’m just gonna go down through one right after another
here and answer as many as we can or do my best to answer them
I should say.
So, here we go.
The first question is what are the seven Spirits of God?
Revelation chapter 4. Well, in–so it’s, let’s see,
Revelation 4 verse 5, John said, “And out of the throne proceeded
lightnings and thunderings and voices; and there were seven
lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven
Spirits of God.”
So what we need to do, let’s kind of recreate the scene in
our minds here, because John is in heaven and he sees one on
the throne.
He’s seeing a future vision here.
He sees one sitting on the throne and he sees 24 seats.
He sees the 24 elders sitting on these 24 seats which
are–they’re apparently the the 12 apostles and the 12 heads of
the tribes of Israel.
And this is symbolic of the Old Testament Church and the New
Testament Church.
John also sees something else in this whole scenario here.
He sees seven lamps of fire burning before the throne,
seven–and these seven lamps are the seven Spirits of God.
So, what does it mean when it says the seven Spirits of God,
because the Bible says, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship
him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
So the Bible says God is only one singular spirit, but this
says this is the seven Spirits of God.
So it has perplexed many people over the time and does God have
seven spirits?
Are there seven gods?
I mean, we got to answer that question, right.
So Isaiah mentions the different spirits of God.
This would be Isaiah 11:2.
It says, “And the spirit of the Lord rested upon him, the spirit
of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the
spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.”
So the first portion is–of this verse is a prophecy concerning
Jesus’s coming.
If we consider each of them as separate spirits, there are
a total of seven listed here in this passage.
But there is a ano–and so some people would say, well, right
there, there’s the seven Spirits of God.
Well, you got to kind of hold on a little bit.
Again, whenever you’re trying to figure out some of these things,
all–any topic in the Bible, you’ve got to go to every verse
that pertains to that topic because inevitably you’re going
to leave something out.
So a lot of people would say, well, right here, Isaiah 11:2,
there’s the seven Spirits of God, but there’s another
possible explanation.
For the sake of conversation, let’s assume the spirit of
wisdom and understanding is one spirit, or an attribute or a
characteristic of God, think of it like that.
The spirit of counsel and might, let’s say that’s one spirit, and
the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord is one spirit.
So we can say–we could, if–from this perspective we
could then say these are three of the seven Spirits of God
because if you go throughout scripture, there are four other
Spirits of God mentioned in many of these different passages.
John 14:17 talks about the spirit of truth.
It says, “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye
know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
So, there’s the spirit of truth.
That’s added on to Isaiah 11:2.
2 Corinthians chapter 4, it tells us about the spirit
of faith.
It says, “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it
is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also
believe, and therefore speak.”
That would be 2 Corinthians 4:13.
Then Paul speaks of the spirit of holiness in Romans
chapter 1, verse 4.
He says, “And declared to be the Son of God with power,
according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection
from the dead.”
And then when you go all the way back to Revelation 19:10
it lists the seventh spirit, if we understand it from this
perspective, “And I fell at his feet to worship him.”
Now, John is giving an account, he’s all the way over here in
Revelation 19.
He’s giving an account here at the culmination of this age, at
the battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
He says, and he’s seeing this vision, he said, “I fell on his
feet to worship him.
And he said unto me, ‘See thou do it not: I’m thy
fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony
of Jesus Christ,'” but, John, “‘you worship God: for the
testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.'”
So there’s another one, that’s the seventh one.
So, whoever is showing John around was not supposed to
be worshiped.
But look closely at the last portion of this scripture.
It says, “for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit
of prophecy.”
So, and I tend to lean towards this perspective here, but
whatever conclusion that we reach as to exactly how to
define these seven spirits, the Bible says there are–there were
lamps and then seven Spirits of God to give us light.
So I tend to lean towards the second one, not just the the
seven mentioned in Isaiah 11:2, but to all of them, that they
all total, if you put the–go to Isaiah 11:2 and put some of them
together, the total is seven.
Can I answer that 100% conclusively?
No, I cannot.
And I’m just gonna be honest with you here, there’s no sense
in me fabricating an answer.
But if you go throughout the entire Bible, you can see the
seven spirits from the second perspective and I tend to lean
in that direction, right.
But again, I want you to know that these are attributes or
characteristics of God because the Bible says in the book of
Romans, God is a singular spirit that never changes, that’s
eternal, but he has different attributes.
The Bible says the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
There’s the spirit of faith.
So, he has attributes and characteristics, but there still
is only one singular Spirit, which is God Almighty.
Doug Norwell: The Roman government controlled the world.
So many people were looking for a different Messiah,
a rescuing Messiah.

Remember, the story of the woman at the well.
“The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which
is called Christ,” and, “Jesus said unto her, ‘I that speak
unto thee am he.'”
Jesus very clearly stated that he was God and that he was
the Messiah.
We’re even more blessed because we haven’t seen those things,
but yet we believe.
When Jesus cried out, “My God, my God, why hast thou
forsaken me?”
He knew every one of these prophecies had to be fulfilled.
He said, “It is finished.”

Dave: The next one here, and I’m just gonna walk down through all
these questions ’cause there’s so many of them were very, very,
very good.
The next one, how accurate– because we’re all the time
talking about there’s a final seven year period and then
there’s a final three and one half years and that’s, you know,
summed up in time times and half a time.
Well, a lot of people want to know how accurate we are on that
and that it means three and a half years.
So the question is, and I’ve gotten this many times, how
accurately is your–our Endtime Ministries definition of time,
times and half a time, interpreted as three and a half
years, okay.
And I get it, ’cause we talk about it all the time.
Yes, there is a final seven years but the ol–the final
three and one-half years is the Great Tribulation.
And we talk, I mean, we talk about that in just almost
everything that we teach here.
So, there are six specific passages that teach the Great
Tribulation will last three and one-half years and I want you to
look at how–at the terminology of this.
But first, let me go to where Jesus said–how do I know that
the Great Tribulation is the last three and one-half years?
In Daniel chapter 9, Daniel is given a vision.
Actually, Daniel chapter 9 verses 24 through 27, he’s given
a 490 year vision that culminates with a final
7 year period.
And in Daniel 9:27 Daniel says, and he, the Antichrist, will
confirm the covenant with many for a seven week period, and he
shall commit the abomination of desolation halfway into that
final seven year period, okay.
Well, when you–that’s when the Antichrist will stand in
a rebuilt Jewish temple proclaiming to be God.
That’s the abomination of desolation, causing the
sacrifices to cease.
If you go to Matthew chapter 24, the most famous prophecy chapter
in the Bible, Jesus is giving an account of what will happen at
the end of this age.
He says, “When you therefore shall see the abomination of
desolation occur, spoken of by Daniel the prophet,” in Daniel
9:27, “then let them which be in Judea flee.”
Why is he telling–and he’s talking about the end of the age
here just ahead of us now.
He’s prophesying about a two-state solution that would be
created when there would be a volatile situation in the West
Bank or the Judea Samaria area in our present day just ahead of
us now, when the Great Tribulation kicks off.
Well, why does he tell them, when you see the Antichrist
stand in a rebuilt Jewish temple, the third Jewish temple?
Why is he telling them and Judea to flee?
Go to Matthew 24, verse 21.
He says, “For then will be great tribulations, such as was not
since the beginning of the human existence, no, nor ever
will be again.”
He talks about the Great Tribulation happening right
there when the abomination of desolation occurs.
Daniel 9:27 says that happens halfway through the final seven
year period.
The Bible says in the midst of that final week or in the midst
of that final seven year period, three and a half years in.
So Jesus said, the Great Tribulation would begin halfway
through that final seven years and that it would last for all
the way until the time of his rapture, the Second Coming
of Jesus Christ.
You say, well, how long is that?
Okay, now we get to the point where we talk about, the Bible
gives six specific passages that teach the Great Tribulation last
for three and one-half years.
And listen to how it coins the term of the duration of
the Great Tribulation.
Daniel 7:25, the Bible says, “And he,” the Antichrist, “shall
speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out
the saints of the most High, and will think to change times and
laws: and they shall be given into his hand,” listen closely,
“until a time,” one year, “times,” two years, “and the
dividing of time,” a half a year.
For three and a one-half years.
And then we go to Revelation 12:6, the Bible says, “And to
the woman,” Israel in Revelation 12, “And to the woman, she fled
into the wilderness, and she hath a place prepared of God,
that she should feed her there a thousand two hundred and
threescore days.”
It’s 1260 days.
It’s the exact same length of time, this is the Great
Tribulation, of time, times, and half a time, three and
a half years.
1260 days is 3 and one-half years.
Then you go to Revelation 11:2, and Revelation 11 talks about
events that will occur during the Great Tribulation.
Revelation 11:2 says, “But the court which is without the
temple leave it out,” John, “and measure it not; for it is given
unto the Gentiles: said that the holy city shall they tread
underfoot for forty two months,” which is three and
one-half years.
So every time it talks about the length of the Great Tribulation,
it talks about three and one-half years.
There is a final seven year period which is Daniel’s 70th
week, but only the last three and one-half years of that is
the Great Tribulation.
A lot of people teach the Great Tribulation lasts seven years,
but that simply is not the case.
Then we go to Revelation 11:3, “And I will give power unto my
two witnesses.”
Again, Revelation 11 talks about events that will happen during
the Great Tribulation.
The Bible says, “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and
they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and
threescore days.”
There’s that 1260 days again, or three and one-half years.
Revelation 12:14, “And to the woman,” Israel in that chapter,
“were given two wings of a great eagle,” the United States of
America, “that she might fly into the wilderness, into her
place, where she is nourished for,” during the Great
Tribulation, “for a time, times, and half a time, from the face
of the serpent.”
There it is again, three and one half years.
And then Revelation 13:5, “And there was given unto him a mouth
speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given
unto him,” the Antichrist, “to continue forty two months.”
So, in all six of these verses, the Great Tribulation last 3 and
one-half years, which is time, times, and half a time, 1260
days or 42 months.
So the interpretation, very, very, very accurate.
Okay, let me get to the next one here.
During the des–during the abomination of desolation will
only Jews in Judea be targeted and not the rest of the world?
Well, no, not just Jews.
In Revelation 12:17, it talks about–in–so in Revelation
chapter 12, there’s a war in heaven.
Michael and his archangels over–overcome Satan and his
angels, they’re in heaven, and they bind them to the earth.
And the Bible says, hey, rejoice you, they’re in heaven, but woe
to the inhabitants of the earth because Satan comes down unto
you having great wrath and he persecutes the woman in that
chapter with the 12 stars around her head, which is the nation
of Israel.
It’s a symbolic prophecy here.
And so it also says that in Revelation 12:14, Israel’s
carried away in the wings of a great eagle where she has
nursed in her place for time, times, and half a time.
So the United States is gonna stand with Israel and protect
her against the world governing body throughout the end-time.
But then it goes to Revelation–so, if that was the
case, then I would say, well, then the devil’s just after
the Jews.
But if you go on down the chapter to Revelation 12:17, it
says, “And the dragon was wroth with the woman,” Israel, “and
went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep
the commandments of God, and have the testimony of
Jesus Christ.”
In the end time that’s not gonna be the Jews.
Now, there will come a time when all the Jews in Israel will
be saved.
Romans 11:25 and 26.
However, the–prior to that, those that are the remnant of
her seed, which keep the commandments of God and have the
testimony of Jesus Christ, that’s the church, the true
church of Jesus Christ on the earth.
I didn’t say every church, I said the true church.
There’s a big difference.
Ever–you know, just because it says Christian or church over
the church house door does not mean they’re teaching the
full truth.
That’s why it’s of utmost importance that you are part of
a good Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church.
There’s a lot of churches going sideways right now, right.
And things are coming out that you–it’s just shocking.
People ordaining LGBTQ members in their pulpits and
different things.
Well, that’s diametrically opposed to the word of God.
So when I say a true–the true church of Jesus Christ, Satan
will be coming to persecute them as well along with the Jews
during the Great Tribulation and so, I hope and that that should
answer your question, will only the Jews be targeted and not the
rest of the world?
Okay, let me see here.
The next question, does the word saints used in Revelation mean
Christians or Jews?
Okay, so the word saint always refers to–and when you get into
the New Testament here, the word saint always refers to those who
have been born again, both Jew and Gentile.
And when you get to–if you look at the the revival chapter in
Revelation chapter 7, the Bible says, talks about the 144,000
and those that are sealed in Revelation 7:1 through 8.
The remnant of Jews that will be saved right there in
the end-time.
And then John says, I saw that vision and then I turned
and behold, I saw a multitude.
Now he’s seeing a vision, a future vision in heaven.
He said, “I turned and I saw a multitude no men could number
out of every kindred people, tongue, and nation and they have
washed their robes white in the blood of the lamb.”
They’re standing before the Lord, they made it to heaven,
they’ve been born again.
And John says, or the elder looks at John and said, John,
who are these?
And John said, I don’t know, thou knowest.
And the elder says, these are they that came out of
Great Tribulation.
So the revival chapter in the book of Revelation, Revelation
chapter 7, gives a symbolic view of the end time, Jewish-Gentile
church mixed and they’re all called saints.
And so it’s not just Jews, not just Gentiles.
Remember the early church, go back to the early church in the
New Testament.
They were referred to as saints and they were
Jewish-Gentile mixed.
It’s the same way the end-time church is gonna be,
Jewish-Gentile mix.
We have the Jerusalem Prophecy College in downtown Jerusalem
and I’ve seen many Jews be born again.
We’ve taken them down to the Jordan, baptize them in Jesus
name, everybody–and they’re good to go.
They’ve been born again, they received the Holy Ghost.
And so I have Jewish friends that are saved and I know
hundreds of thousands of Gentiles that have been saved,
so, if not millions.
So, very, very important that we understand some of these things.
It’s a very, very good question.
So, are you enjoying the questions?
And the answers here because this is how people learn.
We get these questions all the time.
So we’re happy to do these types of programs to help you with
what we know.
We don’t claim to know everything, but what we do know,
we’re happy to share, ’cause we’re all just trying to make it
to heaven, right?
Is the blessed hope in Titus chapter 2, verse 13, is that
the Rapture?
Well actually, it’s talking about our blessed hope of
eternal life and at the time of the Rapture.
So it’s actually both.
Let me prove that to you scripturally.
So in Titus chapter 1 verse 2, the Bible says, we’re talking
about our blessed hope here, the Bible says, “In hope of
eternal life.”
If you’re a Christian, you’re living as a Christian, you’re
following the principles laid, you know, laid out for us in the
Bible and you’re praying daily and you’re a spirit-led
individual, you’re attending a good Bible-believing,
Bible-teaching, church, you’re winning souls, you’re building
the kingdom of God, the Bible says, “He that endureth to the
end, the same shall be saved.”
It’s our hope of eternal life.
So Titus 1:2 says, “In hope of eternal life, which God, that
cannot lie, promised before the world began.”
So it is our hope of an eternal life but then Titus 2, verse 13,
it says, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious
appearing of our great God and our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ.”
So, it is looking for the blessed hope of eternal life at
the appearing of Jesus Christ, when he comes back to gather his
church unto him, and that will be the merit–we’ll go to the
merit supper of the lamb in the sky and the union will be
consummated and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
So, it is our hope of eternal life at the appearing of
Jesus Christ, our blessed hope.
And that’s what Titus 2, verse 13 is talking about.
Now, I had another very interesting question and I’ve
never been asked this before.
So I wanted to make sure I brought it to you guys.
Somebody asked me–I’ve never been asked about
Hamon-Gog before.
So somebody asked, and this was very cool, any question–or I’m
sorry, any connection between Haman in the book of Esther and
Hamon-Gog in Ezekiel chapter 39.
Well, I–the answer to that is no.
Many of you know, back in the book of Esther, Haman was above
all the princes under king, what was the guy’s name?
Ahaz Arirus and over time he concocted this scheme where he
was gonna kill–he was gonna hang Mordecai, he built
the gallows.
He was gonna hang Mordecai who was a Jew and he was gonna kill
all the Jews, he was going to commit genocide.
And Queen Esther was actually a secret Jew.
She went before the king and–I’m cutting a story way
short, but it ended up that Haman was actually hung on the
gallows that he had built for Mordecai and the Jewish pe–the
Jewish nation was saved as a result of Esther going before
the king.
Mordecai told Esther, who knows what would you have been brought
to the kingdom for such a time as this?
And that was the whole book of Esther, it tells the story about
that and how Haman was the bad guy.
