The Christian Walk – 12/1/2024
Male announcer: Previously on
the “EndTime Show.”
Dave Robbins: How do we get in
Christ Jesus?
By being born again.
When we’re born again into
Christ Jesus, we are born into
the family of God.
You start walking in the light,
God will show you more.
Then you walk in that light,
like God will show you more.
Then you walk–and that’s how
you’re being led by the Spirit
of God.
It’s the way a Christian should
live.
It’s the way they did in the New
Testament but we can’t get here
in 2024 and say, “Well, I know,
but those things don’t apply
to us.”
No, absolutely, they do apply to
us.
♪♪♪
Dave: Once the people were born
again in the New Testament, they
can–the Bible–Acts chapter 2
says, “They
continued steadfastly.”
They continued on their
Christian experience.
Once you’re born again, that’s
day one.
Then on your Christian
experience, you’re gonna
continue steadfastly in the
Apostles’ doctrine, fellowship,
the breaking of bread, and then
prayer.
So, breaking of bread, what does
that mean?
Does that mean we’re all gonna
go out to eat every Sunday
after church?
No, this is where Jesus Christ
inaugurated the Lord’s Supper.
This is when he transformed the
Passover observance which Israel
had observed for the last what–
1500 years, and he changed it
from a ceremony looking forward
to Calvary, to an ordinance
remembering Cal–the act
of Calvary.
Remember, the death, burial, and
resurrection of Jesus Christ
when he would shed his blood.
And of course, this comes down
to how do we do that today?
Communion.
And we do that in remembrance of
the Lord’s body and the blood
that he shed for us.
So, we many–people would take a
little wafer and they would eat
it and then they would drink a
little glass of wine or grape
juice or whatever your custom is
in your church.
So, it’s communion.
So, the–remember the breaking
of bread, always
remembering Calvary.
Because folks, without Calvary,
there’s no salvation, right?
The Bible says, “The blood of
bulls and goats, no flesh was
justified by that.”
Jesus Christ knew that he would
have to come and die, be buried,
and raised again, purchasing a
new plan of salvation, shedding
his blood.
And the Bible says, “Therefore
now no condemnation to them
who are in Christ Jesus and the
spirit of life in Christ Jesus
hath made me free from the law
of sin and death.”
The entire human race was under
the law of sin and death.
“The soul that sins, it’s gotta
die.”
But the spirit of life in Christ
Jesus, only through Christ Jesus
do we have an opportunity to be
saved in 2024.
And so, it’s of utmost
importance that we understand
these principles, these
doctrines, and how do we live as
a Christian post our born again
experience?
Okay, well, so we’ve been
through the Apostles’ doctrine,
fellowship, breaking of bread,
communion, remembering the act
of Calvary, and going through
the act of communion.
And then finally, prayers.
We have to learn how to pray.
The disciples had to learn how
to pray, right?
They told Jesus, “Teach us to
pray.”
They marveled over the way Jesus
could go pray for hours on end
and he got almost–he was
just–they were mesmerized by
his prayers.
Well, we’re supposed to pray.
Now, this is something very,
very, very critical because a
lot of people have tried to walk
a Christian walk without prayer.
Think about this, I’ve known
many people, I’ve tried it in my
life at one point.
It does not work.
You cannot–it’s impossible to
lead a Christian walk
without prayer.
I’m gonna say that again, it is
absolutely impossible to lead a
true Christian walk with Jesus
without praying.
You say, “Well, you know,
elaborate on that.”
Okay, I thank you for asking.
I love my wife more than anybody
on the planet.
Her name’s Jana.
Many of you have met her.
I love her.
I love my wife.
Okay, we were married 36 years
ago, September 3rd.
Well, 36 years ago and before
that, I told her I loved her.
“Man, Jan, I love you more than
anything.
You just–you’re the–besides
Jesus, you’re the light of
my life.”
She can walk in a room and I
know she’s in there without even
looking around.
I just know, I can feel my
wife’s presence ’cause I love
her so much.
Okay, well, told her 36 years
ago, I loved her, right?
But then what if I hadn’t talked
to her since then?
She would think, “Well, he told
me he loved me, but he won’t
even communicate with me, he
won’t talk to me.”
So, guess what?
We would have zero relationship.
Probably wouldn’t be married
right now ’cause there’s
no communication.
All right, a lot of people got
born again years ago, but they
don’t pray.
There’s no–they told Jesus that
they loved him, but there’s
no communication.
They don’t pray.
Prayer is simply communication
with Jesus.
But imagine if you say, “Well,
I’m a Christian, I love God.”
When’s the last time you prayed?
“Well, we prayed over the
thanksgiving turkey
last thanksgiving.”
Doesn’t work like that.
There’s no relationship there,
folks.
This is critical because if a
person does not learn to pray,
they will never become the
Christian that they
should become.
There’s a lot of mystique about
prayer.
You know, prayer, you know,
people chanting and you know,
just chanting things over in
repetition over, and over, and
over, and all this, you know,
and, you know, just reading
their prayers.
Now, I–there may be a time when
you read out of the Word of God
when you’re praying and things
like that.
But I’m talking about, if you
have to read every single prayer
that you pray from something
that you got from somewhere, I
mean, imagine if I went out on a
date with my wife and said,
“Hold on a minute, I wanna read
my entire conversation with
you Jan.”
She would be like, “What are you
doing?
Are you nuts?
You don’t have anything that you
wanna tell me just ’cause you
love me?”
And I would be like, “I do love
you but I don’t have anything–I
don’t know you so we don’t have
anything to talk about.”
That’s the way prayer is.
And so, it–prayer is simply
talking and fellowshipping with
God, it’s that simple.
You don’t have to–now, if you
wanna light candles that’s fine,
but I’m saying that this is not
some kinda weird, mystical,
seance type, weird stuff.
That’s not prayer.
I know a lot of people have made
it weird.
Satan has tried to make prayer
weird so people didn’t wanna
do it.
But listen at this, the first
example that we have in
scripture of prayer is when God
came walking in the cool of the
evening and he simply
fellowshipped with Adam and Eve.
“Adam, Eve, what have you guys
done today?”
Now, God knew what they did, but
I’m–work with me here.
“And what have you guys done
today?”
“Oh Lord, we named the animals
and we did this, that and the
other, and you know, we walked,
and we just had a great day and
you know, we were just basking
in your–in the garden that you
put us in.”
“Well, I appreciate that.
Thank you for the compliment.”
And they just talk.
That’s prayer, folks.
It’s simply, I love God and I’m
gonna have a conversation with
him today.
And I’m gonna do it tomorrow,
and I’m gonna do it the
next day.
I love him.
When you love somebody, it’s–me
and my wife can go out to eat
and I can–we can talk.
We–I’ve known her since I
was—I’m 56.
I’ve known her since I was nine
years old and she was eight
years old.
And guess what?
All these years later, we can go
out to eat and we’ll talk, and
talk, and talk, and talk, and
then we’ll talk on the way
there, and we’ll talk on the way
home and when we get home, we
can talk some more.
But I never run out of stuff,
things to say because I love her
and she loves me, and we got
this conversation.
All right, now, let’s transfer
that to your relationship
with God.
You say you love God but you
don’t have anything to say or
you never talk to him.
And he’s scratching his head
going, “They say they love me,
they claim to be a Christian but
they won’t talk to me.”
Okay, now, you understand the
importance of prayer.
A lot of people, it’s a drudge.
“Oh, I gotta go pray.
Pastor’s calling us to come to
that prayer meeting one
more time.
Oh, two hours.
They’re having prayer for an
hour.”
Look, you say you love God,
right?
Then it should be easy to pray
God.
There’s a million things to pray
for.
God, I love you.
I thank you so much for every
blessing that you’ve given me.
My next heartbeat, my next
breath comes from you, God.
You–the sun came up today.
Lord, you sent the rain.
Lord, my flowers in my front
yard look beautiful because
of you.
And Lord, you’ve given me a good
job and I can provide for
my family.
And you’ve helped me throughout
life.
And the–I’m–there’s a million
reasons to pray.
God, you died on Calvary for me.
You provided a plan of salvation
for me.
And I thank you so much.
Lord, you’re the wheel in the
middle of the wheel.
You’re the lily of the valley.
You’re the bright and morning
star.
I praise you because I know that
I wanna spend eternity and
you’ve prepared a place for me.
I’m coming to be with you and I
love you and I worship you.
And Lord, you healed my grandma,
and you healed me, and you
healed my wife.
And I mean, just–that’s prayer,
folks.
It’s simply talking to God.
Sometimes I’ll sit down and say,
“Lord, how are you today?
I’m thankful to have another
opportunity to come into
your presence.
I love you.
Thank you for the act,”–I thank
him for the act of Calvary
every day.
You say, “What are you doing?”
I’m praying.
I’m talking to the one that I
love more than anything on this
planet, folks.
You know why?
I’m gonna eternity with him
someday.
And the Bible says, “There will
be people that stand before God
someday and say, “Hey, look at
me, look at all these things
we did.
We went to church, and I mowed
the grass, and you know, we–I
did all kinds of things here
and, you know, I went to church
all the time, and I played on
the softball team and that I did
all kinds of things.”
And the Bible says, “He’ll look
at them and say, ‘Depart from me
’cause I don’t even know who you
are.
You wouldn’t talk to me.'”
That’s what prayer is.
Let’s boil it down to its
essence.
It’s simply a conversation with
God.
You say, “Oh, Dave, that’s not
necessary.”
On the rapture day you’ll think
it’s necessary.
It’s very, very important,
everybody.
Until you learn how to pray.
You may not be very good at
prayers.
You say, “I just–I’m not a
professional.”
If you ever become a
professional prayer, that’s when
you quit learning how to pray.
I’m not a professional speaker
when I talk to my wife.
It’s simply, we love each other
and we can talk about anything.
I mean, we can talk about
cooking, we can talk about a
vacation we’re gonna go on.
We can talk about what the Lord
did for us today at
Endtime Ministries.
And so and so was healed and we
prayed for so and so and their
husband got a job.
And so and so was healed of
cancer.
And look at what–look at how
good the Lord has been to us.
I’ve got three–two beautiful
children, actually, three
beautiful children.
I got a wonderful son-in-law.
I got three beautiful grand
angels, three girls, and a boy
on the way.
And I mean, I’ve got blessings
on top of blessings on top
of blessings.
And me and my wife can just talk
about it.
And it’s like, “Man, this is
awesome,” because we love each
other, so we got something to
say.
When you love God, you got
something to say.
“Lord, thank you.”
So, we live in a day when
people, again, they read all
their prayers, but I don’t think
God wants you to do that.
What if someone walked in to
have a meeting with you, let’s
say, and they read everything
that they said to you.
You say, “Well, Dave, why do you
keep talking about this?”
Because there’s a lot of people
doing that.
There are churches that will get
up and read the prayers.
“Here, let’s all read the such
and such prayer today that I got
from headquarters and you know.
And we don’t have anything else
to say so we’re gonna read this
big prayer.
This is gonna be our prayer.”
It’s like, huh–that
would–that makes no sense.
That’d be a little odd, wouldn’t
it?
Prayer should be communication
between us and our Savior,
Jesus Christ.
It’s simply talking to the Lord.
But it’s actually more than
that.
The Bible teaches prayer is–can
be spiritual warfare as well.
Prayer’s many things.
And the disciples understood
their inadequacies and they had
watched Jesus pray and they
were, again, they were awed by
his prayers.
But they didn’t seem to know
what to do.
And one day they ask him, “Hey,
Lord, teach us to pray.”
And he starts talking to them
about prayer.
And it’s fascinating when you
start reading some of these
examples that are given to us in
the Bible about prayer, and
devotion, and following the
Lord, and having–you talking to
him and him starting to speak
back to you.
You say, “Oh, that’s
impossible.”
I’ve had it happen to me many
times.

Dave: The disciples watched that
over and over and they would
go–they’d be like, “Man, I want
what this guy has,” and they
would go listen to him pray.
And one day they said, “Lord
teach us to pray.”
And in Matthew chapter 6, verse
9, it says–Jesus said, “And
after this manner therefore pray
ye: Our Father which art in
heaven, Hallowed be thy name.”
Now, this does not mean that
every time you pray, you say,
“Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.”
He’s given them–he said, “After
this manner therefore pray ye.”
This is an example.
I’m giving you guys some
guidelines.
So, you could come in–you could
come to the Lord and say, “Lord,
my heavenly Father, I love you.
My Lord, my God, Jesus Christ,
I’m so thankful.
I praise your name.”
The Bible says, “Neither is
there salvation in any other;
for there’s no other name under
heaven given among men, whereby
we must be saved.”
All power in heaven and on earth
is given to that name.
All you do in word or deed, do
in the name of Jesus Christ.
So, when I pray for somebody to
be healed, I pray in
Jesus’s name.
When I pray for a blessing or
I’m praying for anything, a need
from the Lord, anything, I do in
Jesus’s name.
So, Lord, in heaven, I’m
praising your name.
It’s an example.
And notice how Jesus started out
the prayer.
He didn’t say, “Well, here’s my
to do list and oh, I need this,
and I need a new bike, and I
need such and such,” and you
know, blah, blah, blah.
It doesn’t say–Jesus
said–didn’t do that, did he?
And you know what, have that
ready by Christmas Lord, ’cause
I need to get all my kids
such and such.
Now there’s nothing wrong with
that.
But to start out, I mean,
imagine if I walked in to you
today and I said, “Hey, so and
so, good–I haven’t met you in a
little while and hey, here’s
some things I need,” ding, ding,
ding, ding, ding, ding.
And you’re like, “Whoa, whoa,
whoa, hold up, what in the
world’s going on?”
Jesus walked in and said,
“Hallowed be thy name.”
Psalms 100:4–100, verse 4,
says, “Enter into his gates with
thanksgiving and into his courts
with praise; be thankful unto
him; and bless his name.”
When we walk into the presence
of the Lord, we still have to
have a re–a holy reverence for
him, right?
The Bible says, “The fear of God
is the beginning of wisdom.”
So, I have a holy reverence for
him.
I can walk into his presence
boldly, but I’m still
reverencing him as the God of
the eternity, the God of the
universe, the God that created
everything.
So, when we walk into his
presence, we say, “Jesus, I
love you.
You’re my absolute best friend.
You’re a friend that sticks
closer than a brother.
You’re wonderful.
And I love serving you.
And I worship and I praise you.”
You’re just worshiping and
praising God.
And it’s a good introduction.
And this is the way you start
your prayer life.
You say, “Well, I can’t pray for
two hours.”
You don’t have to start out
praying for two hours.
You don’t have to start up
praying for an hour.
If you’re starting out praying,
do it for five minutes.
“Lord, I love you.
I worship you.
Thank you today for Calvary,
thank you for your Word.
Without your Bible, we would
have no instruction.”
I mean, you’re just–get this
for your–you’re talking to God.
And then Jesus said in Matthew
6:10, “Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it
is in heaven.”
And you say, “Well, what in the
world do we mean by,
“Kingdom come?”
Well, I, you know, I’m tired of
politicians running this world,
aren’t you?
And that’s what I mean by that.
I mean, I’m tired of the way
things are going on down here
on earth.
God’s coming back.
Daniel 2:44 says, “And in the
days of these kings shall the
God of heaven set up a kingdom,
which shall never be destroyed;
and the kingdom shall not be
left to another, but it shall
break in pieces and consume all
these, and it shall stand
for ever.”
All this human governments
that’s gonna be done away with
before very long.
And the kingdom of God is gonna
be established for 1000 years.
That’s the kingdom I’m building.
That’s the kingdom I’m working
towards.
Sure, I wanna see Washington run
right.
But I’m not gonna lose sleep
if–I mean, look at what we’ve
been going through the last
three and a half years.
I’m still–do I pay the higher
gas prices?
Yeah.
Am I paying more for groceries?
Yep, but I’m still serving God.
I’m not letting that rock my
boat to a point where I can’t
even function.
I don’t wanna get out of bed in
the morning.
I still love God.
I’m serving God and I’m
gonna–if God–my father-in-law
used to say, “Hey, if God took
care of us at two dollars a
gallon of gas, he’ll take care
of us at five dollars a gallon
or ten dollars a gallon.”
The same God can take care of it
all, folks, just trust God.
And I’m gonna pray to him and
I’m gonna thank him.
Matthew 6:33, it says, “But seek
ye first the kingdom of God, and
his righteousness; all these
things will be added unto you.”
Sometimes you may pray and say,
“Well, I’ve got a lot of
different–desperate needs, Lord
and I need to talk about them.”
Matthew 6:31 through 32 says,
“Therefore take no thought,
saying, What shall you eat?
Or, What shall you drink?
Or wherewithal shall we be
clothed?
(For all these things that’s
what the gentiles seek:)
for your heavenly Father knows
you have need of these things.”
“Seek ye first the kingdom of
God,” the rest of these things
they’ll be taken care of.
God knows you have to have food
to eat, clothes to wear.
If you take care of his
business, listen at this
statement, I’ve said it many
times and I’ve heard my
father-in-law say it many times.
If you take care of God’s
business, he will take care of
your business.
If you take care of God’s
business, he’s going to take
care of your business.
I got a lot of people coming to
me asking about the mark of the
beast and “How are we gonna
survive when all this
stuff happens?”
And you know, guess what?
I got the same answer for
everybody.
I’m serving the same God that
supported two million Israelites
in the wilderness for 40 years.
And there were no Krogers and
there were no Walmarts.
And the same God that sustained
two million people for 40 years
with no grocery stores can
sustain us during the coming
mark of the beast.
You say, “Well, I’m”–you better
get your mind there.
That’s how we’re gonna make it
through this stuff.
And that that God has not lost
one ounce of power.
He’s no older than he was then,
he’s eternal.
He doesn’t age because he’s
forever.
And we need to get God back on
the throne of our lives where he
belongs and realize there’s
nothing that God cannot do.
But some people, they don’t pray
to God, they have no
relationship with God.
So, they’re scared to death to
go through the great tribulation
and things like that.
I know all about the great
tribulation.
I can explain it to you in great
detail and prove to you we’re
gonna be here during all of
that.
But you know what, I’m not
fearful, not fearful a bit
because I’ve seen God do so much
in my life over and over in so
many miracles to think that I’ll
get there and he’s just gonna
drop the ball and say, “Now,
you’re on your own Dave.”
It doesn’t work like that.
I don’t serve a God like that,
folks.
This is Christianity 101.
And Christians are gonna have to
be–they’re gonna have to
get–some of them do have but
there’s some that will have to
grow a backbone.
You’re gonna have to toughen up
a little bit.
And we’re gonna go through some
things, let’s face it.
And so, you’re gonna have to
say, “I don’t care what happens,
I’m gonna trust God and he will
take me through.”
That’s the way we live our
lives.
And I’ve seen it happen over,
and over, and over, and over so
I know in the times ahead, God’s
not gonna fail us.
Will I have to miss a few meals?
Maybe.
I could probably stand to miss a
few, honestly.
So–“But I’ve never seen the
righteous forsaken or their seed
begging bread,” right?
Also, we need to pray that, “Thy
kingdom come, Lord.
Thy will be done on earth as it
is in heaven.”
The will of God is done in
heaven, but the will of God is
not presently being done on the
earth in many ways.
Some ways it is.
When Jesus comes, Satan’s gonna
be bound for 1000 years and the
will of God will be done on
earth during that 1000 years.
What’s it gonna be like?
There’s gonna be no war for 1000
years.
That’s God’s will.
All killing is gonna stop.
There will be no abortions for
1000 years.
It’s going to be a wonderful
time.
The majority of the people on
the planet will serve God.
So, why do we pray for the
kingdom to come?
Because we want the kingdom to
come.
Furthermore, we want the kingdom
to come to us now.
It is possible for us to live in
the kingdom before the physical
kingdom arrives.
Of course, this is the reason
we’re born again.
And then we have to continue
steadfastly in the Apostles’
doctrine, fellowship, breaking
and bread, and in prayers.
“Unless a person is born again,”
Jesus told Nicodemus, said,
“They can’t enter or see the
kingdom of God.”
Can we have righteousness,
peace, and joy right now?
You better believe.
The Bible says, “The kingdom is
righteousness, peace, and joy in
the Holy Ghost.”
How does that flow to us?
Because we put the principles of
the kingdom of God into force in
our lives.
Jesus goes on to say, we’d be
where?
Matthew 6:11 through 12, it
says, “Give us this day our
daily bread and forgive us our
debts, as we forgive
our debtors.”
If we only pray once a month, or
once every six months, or once a
year, how can you do that?
How often should we pray?
Every day, right?
I mean, if we don’t pray, right?
If we don’t pray every day, how
can we get our daily bread?
In the Old Testament, they got
their daily bread in a physical
form called manna, remember?
In the New Testament, the manna
is the Holy Ghost.
So, when it fell in the Old
Testament, they said, “Well,
what is it?”
When the Holy Ghost fell in the
New Testament, in Acts chapter
2, they said, “What meaneth
this?”
The bread is also the Word.
These are used in different ways
in different passages.
And so, if you don’t–and get
this, your relationship with
your fellow man, your salvation
is dependent upon that because
the Bible says, “If we don’t
forgive those who trespass
against us, neither will our
heavenly Father forgive us
our trespasses.”
Oh, man.
So, that grudge you’re holding
oh, oh, you’re gonna have to get
rid of it.
You’re gonna have to get rid of
it.
‘Cause it–you gotta forgive
’em.
Forgive it and forget it.
You say, “But you don’t know
what they’ve done.”
It doesn’t matter.
“You know what?
It’s really hurting.”
It’s not hurting that person,
it’s hurting you.
It’s hurting you.
It becomes a short in your
relationship with God.
You’re not even gonna wanna pray
because you got this grudge
against somebody.
“I mean, I just–all I can think
about,”–let it go, just let
it go.
Your relationship with God will
totally change once that happens
because you’ve got a dead short.
And so, these are the
principles, folks, these are the
four, continued steadfast in the
Apostles’ doctrine, fellowship,
breaking bread, and in
prayers.
Man, a wonderful prayer life
when you’re talking to God
every day.
I mean, it changes your life.
It helps your faith, it helps
everything in this Christian
walk and you can make it through
the times just ahead and into
eternity talking to the Lord and
he’s talking to you.
Doug Norvell: The Roman

a different Messiah, a

“The woman saith unto him, I
