Elon Musk’s Satellite-Based Internet is Extremely Fast

In initial speed tests, Elon Musk’s new Starlink internet service boasts download speeds of 649 Megabits per second. The service is based in orbit and delivers service to customers via satellites launched by SpaceX. WCCFTech reports:

The internet service is currently in its beta stage, and with the new satellites populating more orbital planes than before, it takes longer for a spacecraft to reach its intended orbit and become functional.
