Preterism: What is it? Is it Scriptural?

Recently there has been a renaissance of the doctrine of preterism. The word preterism means past. Essentially, preterists believe that the prophecies of the Bible have all been fulfilled. Full preterists teach that all the prophecies, including the Second Coming, were fulfilled by 70 AD.
