Trump labels Vince Foster death ‘very fishy’

Donald Trump, presumptive Republican Party presidential nominee, said in an interview with the Washington Post he’s not 100 percent sure ex-Clinton administration deputy counsel Vince Foster actually committed suicide, as put forth – that the circumstances surrounding his 1993 death were “very fishy” indeed.

 

When asked about the Foster case, Trump said the conspiracy theories surrounding his death that suggested foul play should be taken as “very serious,” the newspaper reported.

He also said, of Foster: “He had intimate knowledge of what was going on. He knew everything that was going on and then all of a sudden he committed suicide.”

 

Trump then went on to say he doesn’t “bring [the Foster case] up because I don’t know enough to really discuss it … I don’t do that because I don’t think it’s fair.”

Foster served as deputy White House counsel for the first few months of the Bill Clinton presidency. He was found dead at a park just outside Washington, D.C., in July 1993. Though ruled a suicide, his death is still an item of controversy because of his close relationshp with Hillary Clinton and his years of legal partnership with her at the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, Arkansas. The author of “Bill and Hillary: The Marriage” suggested Foster and Clinton had been involved in an affair, while another writer for Forbes Magazine reported about Foster’s Swiss bank account and potential, but never proven, shady dealings.
