‘Temple Mount is Judenrein’

Jews barred from entering the Temple Mount registered an original, if provocative, protest Tuesday, by means of a small sign that says “Judenrein – clean of Jews.” The sign was put up by the protesters at the entrance to the Western Wall Plaza and photographed.

“Judenrein,” the German word meaning “Jew-free,” was often used by the Nazis.

Refael Morris from Ahia, in the Binyamin region, told Arutz Sheva that police told Jews who came to the Temple Mount Tuesday morning that they may not enter because of Muslim rioting.

“This is not true,” Morris said. “The Arabs threw a few rocks Sunday morning and that is all. The police have the ability to open the Mount to Jews, but they do not want to and look for every excuse to close it off to Jews.”

The closures happen more often on Ramadan, he said, “but only because it is easier for police to say that it is a dangerous period.”
