Rosneft committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
The Board of Directors of Rosneft Oil Company approved the strategic guidelines and Public statement “Rosneft: contributing to implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goals”.
Starting in 2010, Rosneft has participated in the UN Global Compact and shares its core principles. The UN Global Compact urges its members to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals aimed at improving the well-being of the current and future generations.
The Board of Directors approved Rosneft strategy related to commitment to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Following the practice accepted by international majors, Rosneft has determined five goals of strategic priority which are directly supported by its core operations, including: good health and well-being, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, climate action, and partnerships for the goals.
The public statement “Rosneft: contributing to implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goals” complies with the principles of openness, transparency and informed dialogue with shareholders, investors and other stakeholders.
