Netanyahu Vows Crackdown on Violence From Any Side

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu sharply condemned a stabbing attack which injured four Arabs in Dimona on Friday, threatening legal steps against violence no matter who initiated the attack. “Israel is a state of law and order,” he said. “We will utilize the law to the fullest against all who initiate violence and break the law – from any side.” A local Jewish resident stabbed three construction workers and one municipal worker in the southern city on Friday, in an apparent revenge attack for unending violence against Israeli Jews nationwide. The Israeli publics frustration has been mounting, after no less than seven stabbing attacks in the past 48 hours alone – and hundreds of rock-throwing and firebomb attacks being reported on a daily basis. Netanyahus statement follows calls by MKs across the political spectrum for Israelis not to take the law into their own hands.
