Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz Questions Whether Worship Is Essential

May 27, 2020   |   Category: Prophecy News   |   Tags: , ,

“I think the case that the president is making and that may be up for debate in this country of deeming houses of worship essential, essential services and that’s one that we take into consideration,” the Democrat governor said during an hour-long briefing on opening up religious services during the coronavirus lockdown.

During the briefing, in which he was joined by state Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm, Gov. Walz announced new guidelines for religious services, saying he would allow houses of worship to reopen at 25 percent occupancy.

The governor’s decision came on the heels of confrontation with the Catholic Bishops of Minnesota, who announced last week that public Masses would resume as of May 26, in defiance of the governor’s restrictions.

  1. Wonder why he and other democratic “leaders” won’t mention its their voters who are rioting and destroying. If they went to church they would restrain themselves due to what the Bible teaches. On a secular note, how many in those mobs are wearing MAGA hats? Hmmmmmm….

  2. To acknowledge churches and worship would be an acknowledgement of God and the Bible. Those in darkness and committing evil could never do that. It would expose their deeds and they would expose that they are sinful and need to repent. Its not politically correct for an evil politician to endorse God in any way. My, how far the apples have fallen from the tree.

    Uh… Minnesota….. wait a minute, there’s something I’ve heard about there….
Oh yeah. That’s where all the rioting and mayhem started……
A little Jesus might have prevented all that mess, Governor…….

Do you think regular attenders are the people looting and rioting? The truth is we can’t get enough people in church to squash so much evil going on in the world. Without God, evil rules and continues to fill people with unhealthy thoughts and actions.

God blessed us all with ‘free will’. I believe worship is essential. For those of us Christians who desire to congregate, we should be allowed to do so! For those who do not, exercise your free will and stay home! As for me, I put my faith and trust in the Lord and not some fancified politician who “thinks” he knows what’s best for us. I don’t live in fear of the corona virus. We are all destined to die once at some point or another. We have no say as to when or how we go. All we can do is be spiritually prepared for when that day comes. Personally, I feel that you could wrap yourself in a plastic bubble and still end up with the virus if it is God’s will. Only God can bring and end to pain, suffering, and loss. Not politicians!!!! So I will trust my Lord and my Saviour! Amen!

  6. Thank you for picking up this article and forwarding it on. Last Saturday MN Governor Walz said, “I think the case that the president is making and that may be up for debate in this country of deeming houses of worship essential, essential services and that’s one that we take into consideration,” ~ minute 23:24 and pay attention to Mr. Walz’s face as he says his statement. A few days later, evil came and now they all know God in the name of Jesus is essential! Please share this with your church pastor, board members, deacons and congregations and do what is right by GOD!

With the horrific unrest that is going on in Minn, we need to have more people able to gather to pray rather than having the bars and social areas looked at as essential and not the churches! Not only essential but SO NEEDED!

I think it is important to open up worship because we want to praise and worship our saviour who died on cross so we could be freed of sinsand win people to him
so they would be free and go to heaven.

I follow Rev Baxter teaching, buy his videos and supports financially, that should tell you that I believe the WORD. Im Holy Spirit filled Bible believing tithe paying Christian, I know Rev Baxter is an ardent supporter of the president, BUT one thing white southern evangelicals had refused to recognized is that the president is playing politics with you guys, I dont know how many pastors filled with Holy spirit admonishes openly the president when he stirs violence to his base. One thing I have been admonished never to do is that -one should ask himself or herself that” whatever is being done at at a particular moment-if Jesus is is present, will you do what you are doing-If no, you dont do it if yes, then you can do, because it will please the LORD, the president is using the southern evangelicals to politicize his base-worship of God is essential to every true believer which must not be politicized. If you are truly for the Lord, then speak against the president’s distaste for black people and the minority.

As a Christian during this pandemic, I definitely do not see the necessity to go to a “building” with a bunch of other people when in this day and age we have so many ways to worship at home. Disobeying what our governor’s are trying to do to get is back on track will only prolong this disease. It’s only been a couple of months and things are starting to open up anyway. You mean to tell me they couldn’t wait?!? There was a church by me that had a guest pastor coming and the pastor didn’t want to cancel so he had the guest pastor come to preach. Well, he came and brought the Corona virus with him. He infected a little over half the Church including that home pastor. Thankfully no one died but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t devastating. Come on Pastors! Let’s be responsible!! And doesn’t the Bible say we must obey our people we’ve placed in office no matter WHAT Party they are??? If you absolutely have to be IN church to worship, maybe you don’t have the relationship with Our Lord that you think you do.

  11. Not only is meeting and worship, and not the least, prayer is not only essential it is critical in these days of masquerading the truth for more power over the people. So yes, it ESSENTIAL!!!!!!!!!!

  12. I think with what is on ground, the church can congregate in their homes as families. It’s unscriptural to designate one particular place a place believers must congregate. It is religion to think otherwise. In a time of crisis as we have believers should meet in their homes. After all the church is not the building.

    • While it’s true Corporate worship centres are essential, I think with what is on ground, the church can congregate in their homes as families. It’s unscriptural to designate one particular place a place believers must congregate. It is religion to think otherwise. In a time of crisis as we have believers should meet in their homes. After all the church is not the building.

      • Wake up people the resistance is just beginning. I recommend to all that you enroll in the Jerusalem Prophecy College. Irvin Baxter has been studying end time prophecy for over 50 years. I’m so impressed with his knowledge & commitment to the truth.
