Intelligence Report: Russians Did Not Target or Compromise Vote Counting Systems

The official unclassified report that the Director of National Intelligence released yesterday giving the “analytic assessment” of U.S. intelligence agencies on “Russian activities and intentions in recent U.S. elections” states that the Department of Homeland Security assessed that Russia did not target or compromise systems used in counting votes in U.S. elections.

This comports with a statement DNI James Clapper made Thursday in the Senate Armed Services Committee–and which CNSNews.com reported on Thursday.

“They did not change any vote tallies or anything of that sort,” Clapper said of the Russians during the committee hearing.
