EU unsure how Turkish PM’s resignation will affect deal

The European Union’s Foreign Minister, Federica Mogherini, has commented on Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu’s resignation. She says that the EU is uncertain how this move will affect its recent agreement with Ankara about refugees.

 

“It’s a bit too early to define if it will have implications and in that case of what kind,” Mogherini said during a trip to Kosovo. “We will obviously discuss this first of all with the Turkish authorities and define together how to move forward.”
