Boris Hitler Remarks ‘Dangerous’, Says Tusk

Boris Johnson’s remarks comparing the EU to Hitler “crossed the boundaries”, the president of the European Council has said.

 

Donald Tusk hit back at Mr Johnson’s “absurd” comments at the weekend saying the EU was trying to create a single European state like the Nazis accusing him of “political amnesia”.

 

He said: “When I hear the EU being compared to the plans and projects of Adolf Hitler I cannot remain silent.

 

“Such absurd arguments should be completely ignored if they hadn’t been formulated by one of the most influential politicians in the ruling party.
