Benjamin Netanyahu: ‘Hypocrisy’ of flotilla participants only aides Hamas
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with Defense Minster Moshe Ya’alon reacted Monday shortly after the Israeli military’s successful early morning interception of the Marianne av Göteborg, which sought to break Israel’s sea blockade of the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu and Ya’alon congratulated Israeli security forces for completing the mission without incident.
Soon after the mission concluded, Netanyahu released a statement congratulating the Navy and Israeli security forces for a job well done while condemning the flotilla for aiding Hamas and casting a blind-eye while heinous atrocities are taking place everyday throughout the region.
“I want to commend the soldiers and commanders of the Navy who effectively obstructed participants from entering Gaza’s shores illegally. This flotilla is nothing but a display of hypocrisy which only helps Hamas while ignoring other atrocities in the region,” Netanyahu stated.
