Palestinians will go to UN before Israel’s elections

The Palestinians will not wait for the upcoming Israeli elections to take their case to the United Nations Security Council, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said on Sunday.

“There is nothing wrong with the Palestinian draft resolution, which calls for ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and establishing an independent Palestinian state in the light of a specific timetable,” Abbas told the state-run Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission in Ramallah.
