World Government | Good or Bad?

UN = World Government

When World War II came to an end in 1945, world leaders decided the time had come to establish a world government called the United Nations. Nations joining the United Nations agreed to be bound by its charter and to submit to decisions taken by the world governing body. Every nation on earth is now a member of the UN except for Taiwan.

The original stated purpose of the UN was to prevent war. However, overtime the United Nations has developed a system of international law that is more and more moving the world into a system of world government.

Would a world government be a good thing or a bad thing? We’ll talk about it on today’s edition of End of the Age.
