This does not have to do with the present topic. However, it does have to do with Pope Francis and the name “Peter the Roman.” Pope Francis chose his name after St. Francis of Assisi. In doing some research I discovered that St. Francis’ birth name was Giovanni Di Pietro Di Bernardone. He was Italian. St. Francis’ birth name can literally be translated to “Peter the Roman.” Also, Pope Francis is of Italian descent. His parents are full-blooded Italians. Very interesting times we live in.
