Obama Will Not Move Embassy to Jerusalem

Yesterday, President Barrack Obama refused to obey American law requiring that the US move its embassy to Jerusalem. Congress passed a law in 1995 requiring the move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, but made the mistake of leaving a loophole. The law provided that a president could enact a waiver delaying the move if he decided the action would endanger national security. Every six months since 1995, Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama have used the excuse of national security to avoid obeying the law. Now, President-elect Trump has adamantly claimed that he will, in fact, move the American Embassy to Jerusalem. The moment of truth will come next June when he will either move the embassy or once again enact the infamous waiver. We’ll all be waiting to see if Mr. Trump will obey the law in spite of pressure from the Arab countries and from the international community. What do you think he will do? We’ll talk about it on today’s edition of End of the Age.
