The Fight Against Christians

Christian Persecution in the Last Days

First they came for the wedding planners and the bakers. Then they came for the Catholic farmers and the Baptist high school valedictorians. And now, the secularists are coming after the evangelical public servants.

Last June 7, Russell Vought, President Trump’s nominee to be deputy director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, was viciously attacked by Sen. Bernie Sanders over his Christian faith.

Sen. Sanders deemed Vought unsuitable for office because he believes that salvation is found alone through Jesus Christ. He said someone with that kind of a religious belief system is “really not someone who this country is supposed to be about.”

Is this statement true?

Is Mr. Vought’s belief, that Jesus is the only way, what this country is all about?

John Adams

SIGNER OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE; JUDGE; DIPLOMAT; ONE OF TWO SIGNERS

OF THE BILL OF RIGHTS; SECOND PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES Stated this:

“The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.”

“The Christian religion is, above all the religions that ever prevailed or existed in ancient or modern times, the religion of wisdom, virtue, equity and humanity.”

“I have examined all religions, and the result is that the Bible is the best book in the world.”

America is a Christian nation!

Mr. Sanders comment was an ugly moment in American politics, but it was also an instructional moment for American Christians.

There is a brutal assault on people of faith in America today.

Matthew 24:3, “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?”

Matthew 24:9, “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.”

Afflicted means to be pressured or oppressed.

Jesus also prophesied of a time when the very name of Jesus would cause a Christian to be isolated from society.

The current assault on Christianity, in America, is the ongoing fulfillment of this prophecy!
