Temple Mount Battle Will Result in Prophetic Milestone

It’s a wonderful thing that you and I have access to the prophecies of the Bible. Without the prophecies, we would be driving down the road at ninety miles per hour, without ever glancing into our rear view mirror. It’s no wonder the world goes from crash to crash! I’ll never forget the day I spoke with Secretary of State, James Baker, about six months before the Oslo Accords were concluded. The fact that he was the foremost leader in the world, leading the charge toward a Middle East Peace Agreement, yet I was stunned to realize that I knew more about what was going to happen in the world than he did! The politicians and leaders of this world are making things up as they go. Now that’s nothing against them, I’m simply saying that without the advantage of understanding the prophecies of the Bible, we’re basically steering blindly. Therefore, it’s a wonderful privilege to be able to look at the scriptures to see what’s coming before it gets here. In 1968 God opened my understanding that the Berlin Wall would come down someday, and that the two Germanies would be reunited. This occurrence would be the event that would throw the world into the New World Order. Once I received that understanding, it colored almost everything I did, not because I was smart but because God’s Word is smart. The Bible says that the scriptures are able to make you wise, and the Bible does that to us. David said, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105, KJV).

The Battle Continues

The news is filled with different articles concerning the Temple Mount. There’s a big struggle that is taking place in Israel today. Holy work or troublemaking? Laying the groundwork for a Third Temple in Jerusalem by Ben Sales. This article comes from Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA).,The article is blatant, but you should note something about it. Presently the Muslim Wakf is entrusted with oversight of the Temple Mount. The Dome of the Rock is there and so is the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Muslims like to say the whole Temple Mount is the Al-Aqsa Mosque, however, the Jews do not recognize it to be so. Under the Muslim Wakf, Jews may only access the Temple Mount for four and a half hours per day. Additionally, they are forbidden to pray there. Now we’re talking about the place where Abraham raised the knife over Isaac in about 2,000 BC. The same place where David gathered the material for building the First Temple, and where Solomon built the First Temple; completing it in 968 BC, which stood for the next 400 years. We are talking about the site where Second Temple stood, which was completed somewhere around 516 BC, and then stood for the next 500 years. This was the temple that stood on the Temple Mount when Jesus Christ was on the earth. After that temple was destroyed in 70 AD, there has not been another temple erected for the last thousand years or so. The religious Jews pray for the rebuilding of the temple three times each day, and they have dreamed of building their temple. It is a custom at Jewish weddings for the groom to take a glass, put it under his heel during the ceremony, and crush the glass. This is signifying that on the happiest day of his life, he cannot be totally happy because the temple still lies in ruin. Evidently, this is something that is at the forefront of the Jewish mind and it has everything to do with Bible prophecy. Sales says,

A frequent presence on the Temple Mount, one who knows the guards by name is Rabbi Chaim Richman. Chaim Richman is the International Director of the Temple Institute, which is an organization based in the Old City with a singular goal, to rebuild the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. The Temple Institute recently released a video showing Jewish children donning tool belts and leading their fathers out of synagogue to begin construction of the Holy Temple.

“Our goal is to fulfill the commandment of, they shall make a Temple for me, and I will dwell among them,” Richmond says, quoting Exodus.

Sales later adds,

There are no Jewish legal barriers to rebuilding the Temple,’ Richman says, ‘only political ones. The institute isn’t shy about advocating what many see as a radical goal, which would be replacing the mosque at the Dome of the Rock with a new Jewish Holy Temple. A painting in the institute’s exhibition depicts this scenario, with the city’s light rail line taking residence to the Temple Mount. The Temple Institute is dedicated to laying the groundwork for this vision.

Finally the article said, Moshe Feiglin, who is a member of the Knesset and a nationalist Likud Knesset member,

made a practice of visiting the Temple Mount monthly until Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu banned him from the site in order to prevent provocations there. Last month Feiglin wrote on Facebook, ‘Whoever turns his back on the Temple Mount is also giving up on construction in the City.’

Feiglin is a member of Netanyahu’s party, the Likud Party, and yet they are at odds. So much so that Netanyahu issued a decree that Feiglin cannot go on the Temple Mount. Feiglin was going up there every month, and every month he would pray and they would arrest him for doing so. Then they would hold him before the judge and the judge would say, he is allowed to pray there. Thus it has produced quite a stand off.

What Does The Bible Say?

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 says,

Now we beseech you brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so the he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

I want to make sure that we slow down and look at this carefully. Some say that we will not be here when this happens and yet it explicitly states that we will be here to witness this event. The Bible teaches that he will sit in the Temple of God, which will be built on the Temple Mount. So the entire dispute over the control of the Temple Mount has everything to do with the revelation of the Antichrist. The Antichrist is going to be the leader of the world community and that’s the reason it’s so important for the knowledge of the prophecies to fill the world and especially to fill Jerusalem and the nation of Israel. That’s the reason we are establishing the Jerusalem Prophecy College there. Jesus said, when you see these things, those who live in Judaea will have to flee. This is yet another sign that we are nearing the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
