Doesn’t Luke 21:36 Tell Us We Are Not Going to Go Through the Tribulation?

Luke 21:36 says, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” The instructions to watch and pray refer to us checking ourselves and making sure that we are ready. It is a result of our salvation that we go up in the rapture, which is the way of escape. To understand what God meant by escape let’s take a look at 1 Corinthians 10:13. It says, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” So God makes a way of escape so that we are able to bear what we are going through. It is also difficult to escape something that you are not in. A convict could not escape out of prison if he was never in prison. Revelation 7:14 also shows that the ones clothed with white robes are they who came out of great tribulation. So they obviously had to have been in it in the first place. God made the rapture as a way of escape so that we would be able to bear the tribulation.
