Prophetic implications of Obama’s Revolution

“… Do the prophecies of the Bible shed light on the consequences of the election of Barack Obama?”

The question on everyone’s lips is, “What does an Obama presidency hold in store for the United States and for the world, and do the prophecies of the Bible shed any light on the consequences of the election of Barack Obama?”

The prophecies of the Bible are going to come to pass no matter who is president of the United States. So our first question we must ask is: What does the Bible prophesy for the times just ahead? A partial list is as follows:

  1. A peace agreement between Israelis and Palestinians that will settle their final borders and place the Temple Mount under a sharing arrangement
  2. World War III—a war that will kill one-third of mankind
  3. Israel’s Third Temple will be built on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem
  4. A system of world government will emerge allowing the Antichrist to take global control when he comes to power.
  5. The economic system of the world government will be socialist.
  6. The adoption of a unified non-exclusive system of religion under the banner of Interfaithism
  7. The setting up of a global system of identification that will allow each individual to be brought under the control of the global government
  8. The ever-increasing practice of homosexuality

Do Obama’s positions and campaign promises align with these prophecies? Let’s consider them one at a time.

A peace agreement between Israelis and Palestinians

President-elect Obama promised during his campaign that he would not leave Middle East peace till the last year of his presidency as was done by Presidents Clinton and Bush. He said he would focus on the Middle East during the first year of his administration.

There is considerable evidence that Obama meant what he said. His first administration appointment was to name Rahm Emanuel as his Chief of Staff. Emanuel is Jewish, was active in the Oslo peace negotiations and choreographed the famous Rabin-Arafat handshake at the White House. His father was a member of the Jewish resistance Irgun movement during the British mandate and Emanuel was named after an Irgun member who died in action.

In the first week after his election, Obama reportedly dispatched his “senior foreign policy adviser”, Robert Malley, to Egypt and Syria to outline Obama’s policy on the Middle East. Malley held meetings with both Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. It appears that President Obama will make a peace agreement for the Middle East an utmost priority.

World War III—a war that will kill one-third of mankind

Barrack Obama ran for office as an anti-war candidate, promising to withdraw American troops from Iraq as soon as possible. However, the prophecy states that a war that will kill one-third of mankind will begin from the area of the Euphrates River. Sixty to seventy percent of the Euphrates is located in Iraq, and the U.S. presently has some 145,000 troops stationed along the Euphrates at this time.

If Obama is destined to be a war president, it won’t be the first time that a Democratic candidate ran on a platform of peace and then led the nation into war. Democrat Woodrow Wilson promised to keep America out of World War I, but as soon as he was elected, he led us right into it. Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt promised peace in our time, but as soon as he was elected, he led us into the horrors of World War II.

The prophesied war of Revelation 9:13-16 has to occur within the three years after the Middle East peace that places the Temple Mount under a sharing arrangement. If that happens in 2009, as many are predicting, then Obama is destined to lead the U.S. into World War III.

Israel’s Third Temple will be built

Before there can be peace in the Middle East, the status of the city of Jerusalem must be settled. The Temple Mount is at the heart of this dispute. According to Bible prophecy, the Temple Mount will be placed under a sharing arrangement, and the Israelis will build their temple on the area placed under their control. This will come to pass when an Israeli-Palestinian agreement is concluded.

World government

Barrack Obama has spoken out strongly in favor of globalization. Globalization is the process of moving away from a world order of nation-states to a system of global government, or world government. Strobe Talbott stated, “In the 21st century national sovereignty, as we have known it, will cease to exist. We will all answer to a single global authority.” And that global authority will undoubtedly be the United Nations.

Barrack Obama is a strong advocate of the United Nations. He introduced the “Global Poverty Act” (S.2433) into the Senate. This Act, if approved, will provide the UN with .7% of the United States’ gross national product. This is an incredible sum of money annually. He introduced this bill in response to a global plan adopted by the United Nations in the year 2000 called the Millennium Development Goals. When the cover is stripped away, it is nothing more or less than a massive wealth redistribution campaign, all under the control of the global government called the UN.

A socialist economy

By now you have heard of “Joe the plumber.” Barack Obama made his famous statement about spreading the wealth around. Accusations had already been surfacing about Obama’s strong ties to many socialistic influences. William Ayers, who hosted Barack’s campaign launch, has openly admitted to being a Marxist. Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s pastor of twenty years, is an open advocate of Liberation Theology. Liberation Theology is the belief that, if Jesus were here today, He would be a Marxist. He would take from those who have and give to those who have not.

Because of these associations and many more, astute observers were not surprised when Obama slipped, saying that he wanted to “spread the wealth around.”

Interfaithism

Revelation 13:15 depicts a global form of worship that will become mandatory under the world government of the Antichrist.

The term Interfaithism has quietly slipped into the international vocabulary in recent years. Interfaithism is the belief that all religions share common values and should respect one another. President Bush has said repeatedly that Muslims, Jews and Christians all worship the same God. The 2008 National Democratic Convention where Obama was nominated to be the Democratic candidate for president was opened by an Interfaith service.

Global ID for every person on earth

The United Nations has requested that every nation on earth implement a standardized system of identification for every citizen by 2010. President Bush explained that the Real ID Act was passed to comply with this UN request. By 2010, 186 nations out of the 192 on earth will have established a national ID system. These national ID systems will soon be incorporated into a global ID scheme.

Barack Obama claimed he was against the Real ID because it is an unfunded mandate. However, in the end, he voted for its passage.

The ever-increasing practice of homosexuality

President-elect Obama has made no secret of his support for the Gay Agenda. Knowing that the majority of Americans are dead-set against same-sex marriage, Obama claimed that he was not for it. However, he openly stated that he was against California’s Proposition 8 that defined marriage as only between one man and one woman.

When California’s courts ruled in the spring of 2008 that same-sex marriage was legal, many same-sex couples raced to be married.

In a letter to the Alice B. Tokias LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual & Transgender) Democratic Club, Obama said, “As the Democratic nominee for President, I am proud to join with and support the LGBT community in an effort to set our nation on a course that recognizes LGBT Americans with full equality under the law. That is why I support extending fully equal rights and benefits to same sex couples under both state and federal law. That is why I support repealing the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and the ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ policy, and the passage of laws to protect LGBT Americans from hate crimes and employment discrimination. And that is why I oppose the divisive and discriminatory efforts to amend the California Constitution, and similar efforts to amend the U.S. Constitution or those of other states.”

He concluded his remarks by saying, “Finally, I want to congratulate all of you who have shown your love for each other by getting married these last few weeks.” Signed—

Sincerely,

Barack Obama

As we can see from these remarks, the prophecy that the days before the Second Coming will be like the days of Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah will be fulfilled with a vengeance under an Obama presidency.

Gorbachev—Time for ‘perestroika’ in America

Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev has welcomed Barack Obama’s victory in the US presidential election, saying he would bring “perestroika” to the United States, the Agence France-Presse reported on November 6, 2008.

In 1987 when Mikhail Gorbachev set out to revolutionize the Soviet Union and the world, he published his now famous book, Perestroika—New thinking for our country and the world. In the early parts of the book, Gorbachev defined perestroika as ‘restructuring.’ However, by the time he reached page 49 he waxed bolder. He said, “Perestroika is a word with many meanings. But if we are to choose from its many possible synonyms the key one which expresses its essence most accurately, then we can say thus: perestroika is a revolution.”

By the time perestroika was finished, the Soviet Union was no more, the Iron Curtain was down, the Berlin Wall had fallen, and the world had entered into the New World Order.

Now Mikhail Gorbachev is saying that Barack Obama will bring perestroika to America. Does that mean he will bring a revolution to America? If so, what kind of a revolution will he attempt to bring? Gorbachev’s revolution was a revolution of Democratic Socialism. Could Obama’s goal be the same?

Is it possible that Obama’s revolution could complete the New World Order that Mikhail Gorbachev began? Is the Barack Obama presidency destined to accelerate the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Bible?

What do you think?
