A Modern-Day Miracle: How God Is Preparing the Way in Israel

For nearly three decades, Endtime Ministries has carried a singular burden: to warn the Jewish people of the events Jesus foretold in Matthew 24 and to prepare them for the days ahead.

What began as a God-given vision to our founder, Irvin Baxter, in the mid-1990s has grown into a worldwide prophetic mission. Today, we believe we are witnessing extraordinary developments in Israel that could play a critical role in fulfilling that calling.

As we look back over the past year, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: God is opening doors that no human being could have arranged.

A Mission Rooted in Scripture

Jesus gave a specific warning concerning the time just before His Second Coming:

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation… then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains.” (Matthew 24:15-16)

For years, Endtime Ministries has taught that this prophecy points to a future moment when those living in Judea and Samaria—the biblical heartland often referred to today as the West Bank—will need to flee quickly to escape the coming Great Tribulation.

In 1998, we mailed a prophecy magazine to every home in Judea and Samaria, warning of the dangers associated with future peace negotiations involving the land. Since then, the Jewish population in those regions has grown to more than 800,000 people.

Through the Israeli Project, the Jerusalem Prophecy College, television broadcasts, magazines, and educational outreach, we have remained committed to preparing for the moment Jesus described.

Today, that mission is taking shape in ways we never imagined.

The Creation of the Jerusalem Battalion

Following the devastating Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023, Israel reevaluated its security posture.

The result was the formation of new military units designed to better protect key population centers throughout the nation. Among those new units was the Jerusalem Battalion, established within Israel’s newly created 96th David Division.

The man chosen to lead that battalion was Commander Joel Golden, a veteran Israeli Defense Forces officer with more than 25 years of service in elite special operations.

Yet Joel is more than a military leader.

He is also a Bible-believing Christian who has studied prophecy for years through the teachings of Endtime Ministries.

When he accepted command of the Jerusalem Battalion, he immediately recognized the prophetic significance of the role.

His responsibility was clear: protect Jerusalem.

But as events unfolded, that responsibility expanded dramatically.

An Unprecedented Expansion

As Commander Golden built and organized the battalion, his leadership quickly attracted attention from military officials.

By mid-2025, his command authority was expanded beyond Jerusalem to include Judea and Samaria—the very region Jesus specifically referenced in Matthew 24.

The significance of this development cannot be overstated.

For the first time, a Bible-believing military commander who understands end-time prophecy has authority over the precise region where Scripture says future events will unfold.

His position gives him access to emergency communication systems, military resources, and operational capabilities that could prove crucial when the prophetic timeline reaches its climax.

From our perspective, this is nothing short of remarkable.

Putting Feet to the Word

Commander Golden often describes his work as “putting feet to the Word.”

Drawing from biblical prophecy, he has worked to establish surveillance systems, strategic planning initiatives, and emergency preparedness measures throughout the region.

His preparations include monitoring routes that Bible prophecy indicates invading armies may one day travel during the Battle of Armageddon.

While military leaders naturally prepare for future conflicts, Joel’s understanding of Scripture gives his planning a unique dimension.

Rather than merely reacting to potential threats, he is proactively considering scenarios outlined thousands of years ago in the pages of the Bible.

For those of us at Endtime Ministries, witnessing these developments has been extraordinary.

A Strategic Partnership

During an Endtime Ministries tour of Israel, Commander Golden presented me with an unexpected honor.

In a private ceremony in Jerusalem, he formally enlisted me as an honorary member of the Jerusalem Battalion and appointed me as its “Prophetic Tactical Advisor.”

At first, I viewed the recognition as largely symbolic.

Over time, however, I came to understand that Joel viewed the role as much more than honorary.

His vision includes future coordination between military resources and our ministry’s efforts to warn Jewish communities when the time described in Matthew 24 arrives.

His plans include direct communication with local leaders, emergency broadcasting capabilities, and logistical support for reaching people throughout Judea and Samaria.

The level of preparation already underway is astounding.

Preparing the Warning

Perhaps the most encouraging development occurred just days ago.

While conducting a patrol along Israel’s eastern border and meeting with community leaders throughout Judea and Samaria, Commander Golden spoke openly about the need for future readiness.

He explained that if an evacuation becomes necessary, there will be little time to prepare.

The response surprised even him.

According to Joel, many residents indicated they would leave immediately if instructed to do so.

Years of conflict, particularly since October 7, have conditioned many communities to respond quickly to emergency warnings.

That willingness to act could prove critically important.

At the same time, Endtime Ministries continues preparing a special edition of Endtime Magazine intended for distribution throughout Israel when the prophesied peace agreement is signed.

The publication will explain the significance of the final seven years and provide biblical guidance for the days ahead.

Combined with the relationships God has established and the communication channels now available, we believe this outreach could become one of the most important witnessing efforts in our ministry’s history.

God Is Directing Every Step

Looking back, it is impossible not to see God’s hand at work.

From the vision given to Irvin Baxter decades ago, to the growth of our ministry in Israel, to the rise of a Bible-believing military commander overseeing Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria, the pieces continue falling into place.

No human strategy could have orchestrated these developments.

No ministry could have manufactured these relationships.

Yet here we stand, watching events unfold in ways that align remarkably with Scripture.

As students of Bible prophecy, we understand that our mission remains unchanged.

We must continue warning, teaching, evangelizing, and preparing.

Most importantly, we must remain faithful.

The signs are converging rapidly. The prophetic clock continues to move forward. And the God who inspired these prophecies thousands of years ago is still directing events today.

Now more than ever, we ask you to pray for Israel, pray for this ministry, and pray for wisdom as we continue carrying the message God has entrusted to us.

The greatest warning of this generation may be closer than many realize.
