The first resurrection is described in Revelation 20:4-6. Verse 4 begins, “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

The Bible teaches that the Great Tribulation lasts for three and onehalf years although popular teaching says it will be seven years. While it is true that Daniel’s 70th week lasts for seven years, the scripture teaches that only half of that period is what we know as the Great Tribulation.

The majority of the Evangelical Movement has taught of a pretribulation rapture; however, you cannot read Matthew 24 carefully without concluding that Jesus Christ placed the rapture immediately after the tribulation of those days. If this is not true, you would have to believe that there are two raptures.

President Bush said he is sure a Middle East peace treaty will be signed in 2008. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he thought it was possible to sign a peace deal within six months of the Annapolis Peace Conference, which was held on November 27, 2007. Palestinian and Israeli negotiators began work immediately after the Annapolis Conference. God has given us many specific prophecies about the future. We know these things will come to pass without fail. The only question then becomes: When? As we look into the prophetic possibilities for 2008, we can determine to an extent the timing of the prophecies by their convergence with other events that are supposed to occur at the same time. This is particularly true at this present time.

Daniel 9:27 gives us a simple mathematical calculation: “…and in the midst (middle) of the week (7 years) he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,” thus 7 ÷ 2 = 3.5. In other words, the final 7 years will be divided into two equal periods of 3.5 years! The prophecies of the Bible are certain and are in progress at this very moment. They cannot be changed or stopped. Ultimately events will climax into the second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth. The old saying, “Sometimes things must get worse before they get better,” certainly applies today. If you think our world is in chaos right now, just hold on! Just ahead is the “great tribulation.”
2 Billion to Die

Author’s note: This article is dedicated to explaining why I believe two billion people will die in the next 12 months. Can I guarantee the time frame? No. Could it be 24 to 36 months? Possibly. But, in my opinion, the most likely time for the fulfillment of this ominous prophecy of the annihilation of one-third of the human race is the next 12 months.
Mark of the Beast – 2008?

The Bible prophesies a time when individuals will not be able to buy or sell unless they take the ‘mark of the beast.’ Between now and May of 2008, Americans will receive national ID cards without which we will be unable to hold a job or open a bank account. If we cannot hold a job or have a bank account, how much buying or selling will we be able to do? The question has to be asked: “Will the National ID card—which will be implemented over the next two years—be the mark of the beast?”
2 Nuclear Wars

That’s right! It’s right there in your Bible. This world is headed straight for, not one, but two nuclear wars! Does the Bible really prophesy two nuclear wars for the times ahead? The prophecy in Zechariah 14 details events that will occur in the world’s last war, Armageddon. Verse 12 unmistakably teaches that nuclear weapons will be used in this last battle.
