The Good Side of Armageddon
We never look at the bright side of the Bible’s prophecies about the world’s final war.
A Bigger Tsunami is Coming
Can we assert that the tsunami fulfilled a specific prophecy? The answer is no. There has been a documented dramatic increase in the frequency of earthquakes worldwide in the past 100 years, so in this regard, yes, the tsunami is part of Matthew 24:7’s prophecy of earthquakes in various places.
Two Simultaneous Harvests
Revelation Commentary Manual

As we move now into verse 14 of Revelation 14, we are going to look at the two harvests. We will spend some time here because the Bible teaches very extensively about the two harvests that are found in Revelation 14.
Mystery Babylon – Who Is It?
There it is—as crystal clear as it can be. The Revelation 14:8 prophecy plainly predicts the future fall of Babylon. Listen to it: “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
Knowing that this prophecy about the coming fall of Babylon exists, and knowing that the United States and Great Britain are attacking Iraq—the nation that contains ancient Babylon, we simply must ask ourselves if the prophesied fall of Babylon is at hand.
What Is Armageddon?
Mountain of Slaughter The word “Armageddon” appears only once in the Bible. Armies will be gathered together “into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon” (Revelation 16:16). Looking at the origin of the term, “Armageddon,” we see that “Har” means “mountain.” Next is “Gadad,” meaning “cut off,” as in a slaughter. This “Mountain of [...]
What to Expect in 2008

President Bush said he is sure a Middle East peace treaty will be signed in 2008. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he thought it was possible to sign a peace deal within six months of the Annapolis Peace Conference, which was held on November 27, 2007. Palestinian and Israeli negotiators began work immediately after the Annapolis Conference. God has given us many specific prophecies about the future. We know these things will come to pass without fail. The only question then becomes: When? As we look into the prophetic possibilities for 2008, we can determine to an extent the timing of the prophecies by their convergence with other events that are supposed to occur at the same time. This is particularly true at this present time.
The Anapolis Peace Conference – Confirmation of the Covenant in 2008?
Endtime Magazine – Nov / Dec 2007

A timetable has been set to conclude a final treaty resolving all outstanding Palestinian-Israeli issues. The Saudi Arabian government claims the Bush administration promised that an agreement would be achieved within twelve months of the conference. The confirmation of the covenant, as prophesied in the Bible, will mark the beginning of the final seven years to Armageddon.
Daniel’s Equations – Confirmation of the Covenant + 7 Years = Second Coming

Daniel 9:27 gives us a simple mathematical calculation: “…and in the midst (middle) of the week (7 years) he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,” thus 7 ÷ 2 = 3.5. In other words, the final 7 years will be divided into two equal periods of 3.5 years! The prophecies of the Bible are certain and are in progress at this very moment. They cannot be changed or stopped. Ultimately events will climax into the second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth. The old saying, “Sometimes things must get worse before they get better,” certainly applies today. If you think our world is in chaos right now, just hold on! Just ahead is the “great tribulation.”

November…Microsoft warns Asian governments that they could face patent lawsuits for using the Linux operating system instead of its Windows software. Prophetic? No. Cataclysmic? Hardly. That Linux allegedly violates a Microsoft patent, which is what is causing the threat of the lawsuit, is not of personal interest. That the Chinese government sees its reliance on Microsoft as a potential threat—well, this is of great interest. CNN Technology reports that conspiracy theorists believe that certain patches in the Windows code “might give U.S. authorities the power to access Chinese networks and disable them, possibly during a war over Taiwan.”

Another Middle East summit…ho hum! But wait just a minute! This one was different. For the first time in the history of the world, Israel put the future of Jerusalem on the table. And at this summit, Israel actually offered to surrender part of Jerusalem to the Philistines without firing a shot! (Palestinian and Philistine are the same word.)
