Moving Toward a Cashless Society

Will a cashless society open up the door to a one-world government?

By Rick Brinegar

Soon physical cash will cease to exist. Paper money will be a relic of a bygone era. When cash is declared worthless and money is all electronic, the one-world government will have so much power it will be able to dictate who is allowed to participate in the economy. In the past, people wondered how the Antichrist would be able to keep people from buying and selling. We now see that the technology is already upon us that could make it impossible for you to buy or sell if you don’t have the Mark of the Beast.

Sweden is expected to be totally cashless within five years. Over half of Sweden’s banks refuse to deal in cash. Also, buses, street vendors and even churches already accept plastic or virtual payments. Not only in Sweden, but all over the world there is a massive movement to switch to electronic banking. Sixty-two percent of 1000 Americans surveyed expect to see a cashless society within their lifetime. A recent poll by the Mayor of London’s public relations company, London & Partners, revealed that 68% of British people think physical money will be completely replaced by cashless technologies by 2036.

Digital and Virtual Cash Alternatives

These cashless technologies are advancing rapidly. In April, more than 100 executives gathered secretly to test the software of a new digital cash system from a company named Chain. The new system speeds up transactions that previously could take days. The test demonstration successfully transformed U.S. dollars into pure digital assets, called a “blockchain”. A blockchain is a supposedly a tamper-proof database which allows companies to make and verify transactions instantly on a secure network, without a central authority. Google Wallet, PayPal and Apple Pay are examples of “peer-to-peer,” internet or point of sale cash alternatives, which enable virtual or electronic transfers and payments without printed bank notes or checks changing hands.

Cash Criminalized

In 2015 Louisiana passed a bill making it illegal to use cash for “the purchase of junk or used or secondhand property.” The Bank Secrecy Act of 170 primarily targeted cash, specifically requiring banks to report transactions involving more than $10,000. The government requires banks to alert officials about suspected criminal activity if a cash withdrawal amounts to a few thousand dollars or if you try to move your money. If you do not have cash as an option, every dollar spent leaves a digital trail of your entire economic life, including when you spend, where you spend and how much you spend.

Total World Control

Transnational corporations, international bankers, politicians and government agencies are passionately pushing for the total elimination of cash. Technology expert Terry L. Cook explains why the abolition of cash is so important to the New World Order economists, revealing that they “…are not ignorant of the importance of cash and its ability to inhibit their total control of the world. They are aware that in order to completely control, track and monitor the global population, they must first eliminate the use of cash.” “With cash,” Cook continues, “there is no way to know how people are using their finances, whether for or against the government and its agenda.”

But there is something bigger going on behind the scenes many of the globalists may not realize themselves. Satan is moving his program to a system where everyone will have to have a mark or a number in order to be able to buy or sell.

The ‘Beast’ of Revelation

The verses at the beginning of Revelation 13 prophesy of a ruthless dictator who will rule the world for forty-two months, immediately before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Verses 7 and 8 describe the reign of the world leader known as the Antichrist in this manner:

“…and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

Personal Economic Sanctions

There is one structure on earth today designed to be a world government; the United Nations. The UN uses economic sanctions, an intrusive and destructive weapon, to force nations to comply with its edicts. Verses 16 and 17 of Revelation 13 describe the use of economic sanctions by the end-of-the-age world government, not just against nations, but also against individuals:

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

In order to obtain the mark or number required for buying and selling, each person must pledge allegiance to the world government and to the dictator ruling the world at that time. Thus, individual economic sanctions will be used to force obedience to the world government system. On the other hand, Revelation 14 tells us that whoever receives the Mark of the Beast, “shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God.” Any person who pledges to be loyal to the one-world beast system will ultimately be sentenced to eternal damnation by God Himself. (Revelation 14:9-11)

Government Control

The Cashless Society is advancing rapidly, largely because governments are finding it irresistible to take more and more control over the everyday behavior of their citizens. According to the Guardian, 2015 was the first year that cash was used for less than half of all payments by consumers in the UK. Payments UK believes that cash usage will be surpassed by debit cards and contactless payments by 2021. Financial Review reports that Australia will be one of the first economies to go cashless because of significant innovations in payments technology. A Cointelegraph article describes how Norway, Sweden and Denmark are saying “no” to cash. Thirty percent of Americans say that the United States is “‘very likely to become cashless.” The People’s Bank of China is creating its own digital currency to reduce costs and crime, improve economic development and “boost control of money.” The official position of the International Monetary Fund is that “virtual currencies are extremely beneficial.”

The “War on Cash”

According to Zero Hedge, there is a “war on cash”, which means that governments and economists are calling for the abolition or restriction of the use of cash; in other words, they want “capital controls”. They want to leave the door open for officially-sanctioned bail-ins, negative interest rates and fees on cash deposits and physical cash. Banks want to be able to force owners of cash to spend it instead of hoarding it.

Total Control

The creation of a cashless society is a huge threat to freedom. The technology now exists to instantly review financial transactions, and determine their nature, location and appropriateness. Financial Times points out that a cashless society is an easier-to-tax society, noting this about cash, that, “…unlike electronic money, it cannot be tracked. That means cash favors anonymous and often illicit activity; its abolition would make life easier for a government set on squeezing the informal economy out of existence…Value added tax, for example, could be automatically levied.” Surveillance activities also benefit from the institution of a cashless society. An agency such as the NSA would be able to monitor any company or consumer transaction in real time, 24 hours a day. Also, a cashless society would be very attractive to the IRS, because, if the government would have records of everything you do, it would be able to withdraw taxes from your income before you have a chance to spend it.

Unprecedented Access to Information and Power

Scott Shay, Chairman of Signature Bank, warned about the totalitarian temptations that exist in a cash-free world when he wrote in a column for CNBC, “…It is not too far-fetched to wonder if the day might come when the health records of an overweight individual would lead to a situation in which they find that any sugary drink purchase they make through a credit or debit card is declined.…There is,”
he continued, “…a sinister risk…a cashless society would certainly give government unprecedented access to information and power over citizens.” Also, there is little to indicate that governments will refrain from using this power to destroy freedom and anonymity.

Tim Price, in his book, The War on Cash, warns the complete abolition of cash threatens our individual freedoms and rights. “The authorities are associating cash with being old-fashioned, behind the times. They are trying to introduce a social stigma around it,” he writes, “and humiliate every ‘poor old sap’ fumbling for change at the supermarket. This is a deliberate ploy to usher in an era of total control over your money and life.”

Civil Forfeiture

When a government worker becomes suspicious of wrongdoing, under the provisions of “civil forfeiture”, the government can seize the money of a citizen or company, who then usually settle for pennies on the dollar, and are presumed to be guilty until proven innocent. Electronic currency enables the government to take the cash first and ask questions later.

Fighting the Cashless Nightmare

Should we resist being pushed into a cashless society? The advantages of convenience, or the security of eliminating cash are not worth the loss of privacy or freedom. Rory Hall, of Freedom Outpost, recommends that we begin by using as much cash as possible. If a store is unable to make change, he advises,”…take your business elsewhere.” A cashless system increases the opportunities for surveillance of the individual by state agencies and private companies. A cashless system allows the state to centrally store electronic money, leaving the individual at the mercy of government with power to block or cancel payments. Technology is not inherently evil, but evil people can use technology for evil purposes. Part of our role as end-of-the-age believers is to help make people aware of the wicked nature of a system which can remove money from our accounts whenever the government decides. In the meantime, adapting to a cashless globalist economy requires utmost caution and alertness. Never take a mark on your forehead or right hand. And, never pledge allegiance to any individual, except Jesus Christ.
