Inching closer to a ‘catastrophic’ Korean war

A national defense analyst predicts the United States is drawing closer to a bloody war with North Korea and its fanatical leader.

Kim Jong-un is a “psychopath” with the power of his country behind him, warns Bob Maginnis of the Family Research Council.

“And therefore we must be prepared to act accordingly,” he tells OneNewsNow.

A war on the Korean peninsula, Defense Secretary James Mattis told CBS show “Meet the Press,” would be “catastrophic” if diplomatic efforts fail and combat ensues.

Another war between North and South “would be probably the worst kind of fighting in most people’s lifetimes,” he told the news show.

Days later, Mattis told a security conference in Singapore that North Korea is an “urgent military threat” and at another point called its nuclear weapons program a”clear and present danger” to its neighbors and the U.S.
